Oh, this place has good deals on food and other little misc items, however, their staff is rude. I was in there on Mother’s Day with a cart full of items my son needed for his school lunches(fruit cups, snacks, etc). The lady cashier was talking to what I assume to be her son. She looked at the amount of items in my cart with disgust. Really? I’m trying to give you my money and you got problems with that? Anywho, as I am loading my stuff onto the little counter they give you to check out on, she continues to talk to her son. I thought I was in line? Maybe you should try greeting someone by saying HELLO(look, I get it – I didn’t want to be at Big Lots on Mother’s Day either – there were 100 other places I would have rather been but I was there and you are an employee so get over it already). After I start to load my items on the counter the lady’s son said, Are you doing your grocery shopping here or something? Why yes(fill in rude person name here) I am, is there a problem with that? I just think they need a lesson in customer service. I will NEVER go back to this Big Lots unless they shut all the other ones in Columbus/Westerville down.

Once again I am surprised that a place like this hasn’t been reviewed. It’s been here for years, in a busy location. Maybe I’m just a bottom feeder, hitting up Odd Lots. Why am I at another one? Well, we need a squirt gun to discipline the cat. And apparently most places only have them in the summer. But– success!- this, the fifth place I’ve stopped, has them. It’s pretty big for an Odd Lots/Big Lots, has a good variety of stuff. Not always arranged well, and prices are hit and miss. Some things were not tagged at all, or the tags were wrong. Staff was pretty friendly and efficient and took care of that.
