Located in a van at the front of the Save a Lot parking lot, Big Shute: La Café on Wheels is one of the most unique and innovative street food location I’ve ever seen. First, they offer free hot coffee while you wait, which is definately appreciated when it’s cold out. They have the basics, like hot dogs, which are your basic supermarket variety. But really makes Big Shute interesting is it’s extensive menu created by the owner/operator. Described as breakfast, lunch, and dinner all at once, the Big Shute Big Baby is not to be missed. Eggs and bacon, topped with a burger and homemade chili, it has to be eaten with a spoon. I’ll update again once I’ve tried the boneless grilled chicken, taco in a bag, and the fish.
