Went on $ 4 burger night. Was so crowded, couldn’t find a place to park food took almost 40 minutes never got any silverware but the food was excellent and you can’t beat the price.

Brazenhead has always for some reason been our back up place, if we plan on somewhere else but that place is busy. I’m not sure why it hasn’t gone up in our list because we always leave happy. The beer selection isn’t huge but they always have few seasonal craft beers. The food is good, yes it really is! I hear people complain about the quality but I have never experienced this. I enjoy the burgers and the fish. $ 4 burger night on Wednesday gets rather crazy and the burgers aren’t as big as normal but it’s a great price. If you go any other day the burgers are bigger, but that is probably just because they are normal price. The service here isn’t like other places; they don’t baby you. I like that a lot. Come get my order and bring me my beer/food. Don’t ask me how I’m doing, I’m fine. Others may not like it but I do so I enjoy the service.

$ 4 burger night is legit, but I’ll pay full price because of how delicious they are. Really chill environment with friendly bartenders. Has a nice outdoor patio as well.

This bar is thoroughly mediocre, which is a bummer because it’s HUGE and they have a nice big patio too. The inside is pretty cool, all wood and a big bar. They have several little nooks which is great if you roll up with a big group. Beer selection is good. Right now they still have Summer Shandy on tap which seems weird. Food was decent bar food. I ordered a burger and checked the cook on it after reading other reviews. Perfect medium! Service could use some work. Not super friendly or helpful. I think the staff might be spread pretty thin as we only saw our waitress like 2 times the whole visit. We went during a trivia night and the music was WAY too loud. Like, you couldn’t concentrate or talk to your team across the table. I probably won’t be back and I don’t think is recommend it to a friend. Judging by the previous reviews, I’d suggest that management gets on top of these issues because there are several bars just a few steps away.

Ok, this place is probably only a 3.5 stars but only because it is not the fastest service in town. I don’t think it was due to our waiter, I just get the impression that this is the way it runs there. The food was really good. Wife and I each got burgers and they were really good and cooked to order. I dare say that it is the best burger I have had in this town or in a restaurant in general. It is a big burger, juicy but not sloppy and the extras are fresh and there are plenty of them. Again, if you have time, this is a good place. If you are running on a tight schedule over lunch, you might want to consider another place.

Got here at 7. Didn’t get greeted til 720. Didn’t get food til 748. One of our burgers was messed up. Had Tina on patio table 7. We do this occasionally before trivia and burger night is rarely this slow.

I have given this bar as many chances as I possibly can… and I have come to the realization that Brazenhead is just a really bad eating/bar experience. All around this is one of the worst bars in Columbus. To start, at least someone in my party has received a raw hamburger every time we have been there spanning almost 3 years. This culminated in a friends of mine getting food poisoning last night from eating a hamburger on their«restaurant week» menu. The«restaurant week» menu was a joke. The salad was terrible. The substitute fried pickles were boiling hot and basically inedible. The only bright spot in this review is that I actually chose to subject myself to this horrid bar and now that you’ve read this, you don’t have to.

I came here for $ 4 burger night last Wednesday. Like the special implies, burgers were $ 4 for burgers off the menu, but you can also get build-your-own burgers for $ 3.50 + $ 0.50 per topping. The special doesn’t include all kinds of burgers on the menu(the really decadent ones are full price) and that the burgers are a bit small in size. I got the Cowboy, which was topped with cheddar, bacon, and BBQ sauce. I thought the burger was pretty good, especially for only $ 4 for a sit-down restaurant. My beef patty was pretty thick and came out medium-rare just like I asked. The bun and toppings were also good quality, though I guess my bacon could’ve been a bit crispier. Chips were crispy, salty, and slightly burnt tasting, and my meal came with a TON of them. You can get garlic sauce for and extra $ 0.50(note: the waiters aren’t supposed to tell you it costs extra), but it was essentially barely-flavored mayo. I came with a group of 5 – 6 people around 7pm and we had trouble finding a table(self-seating). But even with the restaurant so busy, our waiter was timely and helpful. I’d definitely come back for $ 4 burger night, but I definitely wouldn’t pay full price.

We went here for the $ 4 burger night. A friend of mine ordered the veggie burger and a beer, and they were out of both. Another friend ordered a rare burger, which came completely well done. The service was slow, and our server was completely unfriendly and seemed annoyed with us the entire time. I won’t be back again– not worth it for the cheap prices.

This place is pretty much a typical Irish pub like all the other ones we have in c bus. There was an odd amount of time between when we sat down with our friend who got there a few minutes prior and when the waitress finally asked if we wanted anything else to drink. She also wasn’t very knowledgable on the short list of draft beers that they had, but I luckily liked the one I picked. She came back more frequently throughout the rest of the meal and the food was okay. I got the Ruben with house chips and it was just alright. The rye bread was a little smushed down and the meat was not shaved thin to my liking. But the flavors were there. The chips were pretty amazing a I can see why everyone loves their garlic dipping sauce. It was pretty worth the calories. The atmosphere is pretty standard for an Irish bar as well. Nothing too spectator but clean and nice overall. I hadn’t been in years but it’s pretty much what I expected.

I really want to like Brazenhead’s more, however it’s just an okay(3 stars) experience overall. Brazenhead’s does have a few things going for them. The ambiance is nice, with a lot wooden fixtures fitting for an Irish Bar. Their patio facing 5th Ave. is also particularly nice on a warm sunny day. In terms of food, I really like their fish and chips. The batter is crunchy without being too oily and the fish is moist. Their thin-cut house chips are uniquely crispy and delicious. Their Wednesday burger nights are also a great deal. Their signature burgers, normally $ 11, are $ 4 on Wednesday. While I prefer the burgers at Bar 145, these ones are solid too. Unfortunately, the remainder of menu items i’ve sampled are pretty pedestrian. This includes the fish tacos and some of the sandwiches i’ve tried. Their draft beer offerings are also pretty slim, although they make up for it with their extensive liquor list. Overall, an above average bar with nice patio seating and good fish and chips.

Got here just before 4 on a Wednesday and sat at the bar. Had onion rings as an appetizer that were great. My bf had the pretzels. The one sauce that came with them was mild and the other was a spicy mustard that tasted just like the Chinese kind. Strong. Had a 4 dollar burger(I think they used to be 3?) that I ordered medium well. It was cooked unevenly, like it had been cooked almost entirely on one side. It was also really small. Smaller than I remember their burgers being. I got the wing sauce and blue cheese, and there wasn’t enough wing sauce. The chips and dipping sauce were great. Since we got there at 4 there was no wait. Personally I would rather pay full price for the burger and have it cooked correctly, get more sauce, and have it be bigger. Sometimes a bargain isn’t really a bargain. All in all it was good though. Service and the onion rings make up for the puny half-pink burger.

I am definitely a regular here. My man and I come all the time, especially on Thursdays(7−9pm) for music trivia! it is really a hit or miss if we are good but that’s the fun of it! As for the food. The only thing I have gotten and did not like was the grilled cheese. Just something did not fit between the cheese, pear, and pesto. Other than that we have tried almost everything and Lve it all! I recommend the hummus as an app, or the beer battered fried pickles if you’re into those! You cannot go wrong with the specialty burgers, or just make your own. The fried bologna, wings, fish tacos… It’s all great. Make sure to get garlic sauce with your chips, you won’t regret it. Finally. I have to give the servers here credit, they’re the bomb!

I went to Brazenhead for the first time on a particular busy weekend night. It wasn’t the first choice, but every other place in the area seemed to have wait times that were far too long. I’d have to say that the food was quite tasty, especially that dipping sauce. I’ve always been a sucker for a good burger, and Brazenhead certainly didn’t disappoint in that regard. I have to say though that the service we experienced was really questionable. Our waitress disappeared for long stretches of time, and she seemed to forget things we asked for on more than one occasion. Admittedly, the restaurant was pretty full, but the uneven service weakened what was otherwise a pretty good dining experience.

Good service, good food, good times… After dining a few times, I can say this place has some character. On my most recent visit for a late night bite, we were seated in our own private table/room. The server was attentive and efficient — good service. I ordered the fish & chips(when in Rome?!). The fabulous fried platter came with a side of Tabasco coleslaw, which was quite tasty — good food. And, finally, the building is pretty neat and the private table provided a nice intimate dining setting for fraternizing — good times.

Burger night! Brazenhead has wonderful large burgers with several unique topping options. I am, however, dissapointed that my old favorite, The Carolina Burger, is no longer an option. R.I.P. It was fantastic, but now i stick with the«build your own» option and im always satisfied. They cook these burgers great every time as well. As for appetizers, you cant go wrong. Ive had just about everything from the fried pickles, to the hummus to the chicken skewers and theyre all fantastic! And th rest of the menu is no different, im a fan of the fried bologna sandwich(huge), fish n chips and fish tacos. Yet to have a bad meal here. Dont forget 4 $ Burger night on Wednesdays and music trivia on Thursdays! Just a great place for a good time.

I went through a lot to avoid this place for awhile, but it was a friend’s birthday and I was also out of groceries so I did come back. Service this time was on point. I was actually really impressed with this waiter — he checked in on us often, was prompt, and even was okay with giving us separate checks despite the large size of the group. My burger this time was also much better(I got the mushroom burger with an egg on top) and devoured. The overall consensus in our group was that the service was good and the food was a great deal for the price. This visit was top notch and deserves five stars, so I’m taking the average of my last visit and this visit, hence upgrading my rating to three stars. I hope that my experience will be more consistent in future visits.

Restaurant week win! We’ve been meaning to check this place out for a while but I was a little apprehensive given the mixed reviews. Today was the last day of restaurant week and Brazenhead had a $ 153 course menu so I figured it was the best time to see what they’re all about. We arrived pretty early(around 5pm) so we had no problem getting seated. The restaurant week menu had plenty of options to choose from for the first and third course but the second and main course was wanting — almost no options for the non-red meat eaters. There was, however, a turkey Reuben sandwich so I picked that by default and was pleasantly surprised. Other highlights of the meal were the warm pretzels with cheese and(spicy!) mustard and the Irish crème brûlée. My dinner companion ordered the Schlow burger and corn chowder and enjoyed both. Score!

On the one hand, I really like the look and feel of the Grandview Brazenhead, which is done up in beautiful old wood and dark brick. The drink selections are impressive and varied(with a good emphasis on local — particularly from their next door neighbors at Four String Brewery!), the food is certainly above average, and the staff are always friendly. But on the other hand, this is basically THE go-to bar for about 2⁄3 of Grandview, and as a result it’s always packed, it’s always insanely loud, and finding parking, even with their designated overflow lots, is a serious battle. I go probably once every four or five months, start off by thinking«Oh, why don’t I come here more often?», and leave thinking«Oh, right, that’s why» after an evening of bodychecking through the crowd and having to yell until my throat hurts to carry on a conversation. The patio solves a lot of these problems, but when the weather isn’t co-operative, it would certainly give me pause.
