If you love Funky & Functional, then you need to check her little Sister in Old North Columbus — Burnished. We’re moving in a week, so I’m scouting out all the vintage furniture stores looking for some cool new pieces to help fill up the space. Naturally, I went to Funky & Functional because it’s my favorite vintage-y type store. And while I was there, the manager told me about their new store that’s only open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So, off we went to Burnished! Burnished is REALLY hard to find. There’s no sign, so just find Ace Hardware and park. Trust me — it’s there. Since the store is new, it’s not quite full yet, but just like F&F, all the pieces are unique and high-quality. But Burnished seems to have more wooden furniture and less upholstered items. Oh, and the prices are completely reasonable for all the great treasures here. We got to talk to the owner for about 10 minutes, and he is great! He was really personable, knowledgeable, and totally passionate about his business. This is definitely the type of local place that I love giving my business!
