Wanted to try out this restaurant so we put in our name and gave them our number and they said they would send us a text when our table was ready but it might be an hour to an hour and a half… well it’s the next day, they never even bothered to text us! Certainly won’t be back!

The guacamole was the best part because they made it at the table for us. The margarita was so good because it was strong just how I want a 8 $ drink to be. I ordered the combination fajitas it was okay but I wouldn’t get it again. I only ordered it because it seemed like a safe option since it was my first time and I can’t handle spicy food. I would come back and just order the guacamole for myself and a fancier margarita!

Being from Texas, I’m always looking for Tex-Mex like you would find in Dallas or San Antonio. Of course you can find poor service, lifeless tasting food and no tequila margaritas at Chilli’s, Chuy’s, Abuelos, OTB, etc. but if you’re looking to find something more closely resembling what Texans call Tex-Mex, this is the best in Columbus. In addition, the staff and management are always eager to please the patróns. Also, they take reservations which is great for a Friday or Saturday night. Finally, patróns aren’t herded through like cattle like you’ll find sometimes at other lower end restaurants.

Best chips and salsa I’ve I’ve had. Great guacamole made in front of you. Carne Asada with cilantro sauce was excellent. Servers were very good and helpful with our minor requests for our baby too. Will definitely be a regular here.

Loved this place when I lived in Polaris! Their freshly made guacamole is delicious(and has that nice kick to the guacamole, as opposed to other places where the guac just tastes like mushed avacado). The drinks are made strong and satisfying. Their entrees a tad pricy for what you get, but it’s still within the realm of acceptable for the area. The best part is their desserts! Either the Mexican Apple pie or the Mexican brownie will do. Both are served in a hot skillet with ice cream on top, and at the table they add Mexican brandy into the skillet. The end result is scrumptious and this spot because a go to spot for people at work JUST for the dessert!

Upscale modern Mexican-style cuisine. Great appetizers and main dishes. Well balanced portions where you are satisfied but won’t have leftovers. Recommend for a nice relaxing after work dinner in a pleasant atmosphere.

The food was amazing. Some review thought the portions were small, but I think the portion size was perfect. The prices were very high, though. I got cheese dip for an app and it was delicious. Finally the food was delicious. They don’t have your normal, run of the mill Mexican food. So be prepared to have some very different food. My fiancé got a mango margarita. It had no mango taste or margarita taste, just straight tequila(it was top shelf tequila). I can understand why it was so expensive because they just used liquor in it. The restaurant was very nice and very fancy. And very clean. The servers were very nice and very attentive. It was a great place for a nicer occasion.

We tried Cantina Laredo for the first time. I really liked that all of the food was made fresh, from scratch. Our server was Alyssa, and she was really great! We brought our young son with us, and she made sure the food was brought out quickly, and was very attentive to all of our needs. This was the first time in a while that I enjoyed my food, and had great customer service :) The only thing I’d recommend improving is the greeting process. We stood there for quite some time before we were greeted, and seated. It was weird because I made eye contact with the manager several times before he walked over and acknowledged/seated us. There was another group waiting at the same time as us, and they left and went to another restaurant.

We went to Cantina Laredo for Restaurant Week and made reservations in advance. For $ 20, you get to choose an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The appetizer and dessert were smaller than a normal size due to the package deal. On a Tuesday night, we really didn’t need reservations but I like getting the open table points. We get seated at our table a wait for a while for our waiter to arrive. He never shows up, but a waitress checks on us and offers to take care of us(She really did a great job, considering she wasn’t even assigned to us!). For appetizers, my husband orders the Chile Con Queso and I got the guacamole. When it comes out, we sat for a while with no chips someone else brought us some chips and salsa. My husband loved the queso and I was very happy with the guacamole. The chips were excellent – the were warm and thin which made them extra crispy. I’m glad we each got our own bowl. Before we were half way done with the appetizers, our entrees came out. I had the Asada Y Enchilada and my husband had the Pollo Chipotle. The asada was a strip of beef about the size of the enchilada. I liked that it was still a little pink in the middle and was pretty tender. The enchilada was full of cheese and had a green sauce. There was rice on the plate too, but I didn’t care for it – most pieces were not fully done. My husband’s chicken was tender and flavorful. It came with rice(which he liked) and sauteed zucchini(which he dipped in the queso). For dessert, my husband chose the mango tres leches cake and I chose the brownie with ice cream. We liked the mango flavor of the cake, but it was lacking the moistness usually found with tres leches. The brownie was my favorite – it had a brandy butter sauce which together with the pecans in the brownie formed a butter pecan flavor. Overall, the food was good, but the pacing of the meal was off.

The food here is quite tasty, but the prices and portions leave much to be desired. Never had a bad meal. The hot(temperature) salsa is a nice change-up. Fancier than I like my Mexican restaurants.

I’ve been here twice because my grandparents are obsessed with it. Overall, it’s more pricey and only on par with average Mexican food. We always have great service, and the guacamole is awesome. My grandma gets the sea bass and leche cake every time she goes. I’ve tried different things, nothing that blew me away other than the guacamole

Food was good but was extremely pricey for what you get. If you order guacamole they make it in front of you which is pretty cool! Now granted it is an upscale Mexican Restaurant, but we all felt that it was a bit on the pricier side. Glad I got to try it but not necessarily craving to go back.

This is a great place. Awesome happy hour menu items. I’m in LOVE with the Ahi Tuna Tacos and Margaritas. The bartender Dinado is amazing as well. All the staff is super friendly, including the manager. Definitely a spot to stop by.

So incredibly disappointed how fast and far this place has gone downhill. The guacamole tasted like soap, both attempts. The bar was out of Pinot Grigio, as well as loud and rowdy. The pork was so incredibly dry and the sauce on it tasted like Indian spices, not Mexican. There were a couple different managers who kept sitting at tables with customers, I guess their friends, and not paying attention to any of the other patrons. Just overall a really bad experience. Sad. Will not go back.

Unfortunately, this place either has gone downhill over the course of the past 3 years, or they just haven’t figured out how to appropriately load balance staffing. My co-workers and I came here Monday for a meal last week and the hostess was nowhere to be found. A nice server approached us and seated us. While he was hard working and very upbeat, it was clear that he was serving WAY too many tables. He probably had 6 tables that I could see, but often was running to tables on the other side of the restaurant, so I assume he was likely 1 of 2 servers for the night? Either way, despite his running around, the service was lacking due to just having too many tables to serve. The food for the most part tasted pretty good, but their beans and rice were pretty bland and uneventful. The meat for my fajitas were actually pretty good tho, but it took a good 45 minutes for our food to come out. Since the restaurant was only ¼ filled, and everyone was being served by the same server, it might have been that he just couldn’t get around to it fast enough. Or perhaps the kitchen was also understaffed, but it was just weird that it took so long on a slow night. It was strange that the sour cream and guac that acme with my fajitas were served on the cast iron plate as they started bubbling. I doubt that was done correctly but perhaps due to his rush to get everything out to us. I agree with Gina as well, it appears there are ‘regulars’ here and staff just hang out with these folks or just don’t care. There were 2 – 3 people hanging around in their uniforms just chit chatting and doing minimal work. Perhaps they were off, but even then, the manager was no where to be found. We weren’t able to locate a manager and perhaps the manager doesn’t care either.

I’m hesitant to even leave a review because words can’t express the amount of disgust our party encountered here last night. One person in our party ordered the chicken tacos with no cilantro and no pico. First time out, the tacos came out with both. She sent it back. Second time they came out, still pico and she ate it anyway. The same person had to send her wine back because there was something very wrong with the way it smelled and tasted. It tasted like vinegar. I ordered two margaritas. The first one was bland but figured it was just a weak pour and decided on a second one. The second one was worse than the first. I also noticed I was overcharged for them. The margaritas are supposed to be $ 5 before 7pm and I was charged full price for both.(We were there at 5:30) Two in our party barely made it home before they were violently ill in the parking lot. Nothing about our experience was acceptable and I will never, ever return.

Upscale Mexican food with amazing tri-salsa dipping options with warm, freshly made tortilla chips. The alcohol specialty drinks run around $ 8 – 10 per, so choose wisely and think twice on second rounds. I enjoy the taco selections served each with beans and rice. The tacos are small corn tortillas filled with goodness. This trip I got the fish tacos(Mahi mahi) a top crunchy slaw and a chipotle creama and queso fresco(crumbly white cheese). Hearty and savory to say the least.

Mediocre as hell! Don’t be fooled by my succulent pictures! The guacamole was so boring it made me want to get into plank position. Nothing had any spice to it and as an Indian I know better than to forget my hot sauce at home. How can you take an avocado, put stuff in it and make it LESS tasty than when the avocado started? The waitress was boring, I was bored, even got bored waiting for the check. Just go to Cheesecake Factory right across. Cha!

Nice restaurant. Having lived in Mexico City it reminds me of one of the many finer dining Mexican restaurants in the city. The food was good and service was good as well. Somewhat pricey, but overall good food.

A friend and I ate at Cantina Laredo for the first time as she had heard some great things about the restaurant. I arrived early, so I ordered a mango margarita, frozen, with sugar around the rim. The margarita tasted good, nothing special, and the sugar was only on about half the rim. As I waited for my friend, they brought out chips and salsa and they were so good! I would come back just for the chips and salsa. The chips were thinner than most restaurants and crispy, which I love. They had a hot/spicy and a mild salsa, both seemed to be a bean base rather than a tomato base. I really liked the hot/spicy salsa over the mild. So good! My friend mentioned the great reviews for the table side guacamole, so I splurged and ordered it. Eh, it was okay. I usually love table side guacamole, but I don’t think it had much flavor and I had them put everything in(onions, jalapenos, etc.), except the cilantro. For the steep price of $ 9.99, I would not return for this appetizer. I ordered the chicken tacos, which came with 3 soft, corn tortilla tacos, rice, and beans. For some reason I wasn’t expecting soft(corn) tortillas, I was expecting hard tacos. They were decent, again, pretty bland. I added some of the spicy salsa to the one I ate and it still needed something more. The rice and beans were good. I ended up bringing almost my entire meal home. You know the take-home containers that are sectioned having one large section and two smaller sections? Well, I filled an entire small section with the salsa to bring home. Although I’ll eat the leftovers from my meal, I’m really looking forward to having the rest of the salsa… The service was good, very friendly. We ate there on a Monday evening(during happy hour) and there were maybe 4 – 5 tables filled in the pretty large restaurant. Overall, I do not need to go back. If I do, I will really look forward to the chips and salsa…
