My doctor is Michael L. Blumenfeld M.D. Associate Professor Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is the Clinical Director.
Recently I went in for a regular exam like all women should do on a annual basis. I have been having a bit of trouble with a very heavy cycle as I get older. Well, he recommended a biopsy be done. When an ultra sound and biopsy were done, I was full of fibroid tumors. In order to remove and stop the heavy cycles surgery needed to be done. I agreed. My doctor, along with his team did a very good job in helping me to fell comfortable, get through the uncomfortable exams and then the surgery. He was very attentive in calling me before hand, not just having someone else call me, but himself. Talking with me before I went under anesthesia, and even after the surgery was done when i was recovering to make sure I was doing fine. I am very thankful for this Center in catching the problems, finding a solution and involving me and explaining everything, each step of the way. It was a concern because uterine cancer does run in my family and I am a high risk patient. I do like The OSU Medical Center.
