This store has improved over the past couple years. It’s cleaner, brighter and has a better overall selection than in the past.

Staff is ALWAYS courteous… goes out of their way to help me find things… Deli counter. always friendly… If I can’t find an item… One of the managers usually helps me out… Nice selection of meats… always fresh… never got ‘nasty’ cuts. At holiday times, the butcher is always willing to go the extra mile… to order what I need… for our holiday meals… I LIKE our small town grocery store… when you treat someone with respect… you usually get respect back… try it some time.

Well, it sucks that this is the only grocery store in my wonderful town. Every time I visit here, I wish I hadn’t. Today was more awful than ever… The following is a list of problem areas. 1. If an item is marked $ 1.99, then it better ring up as $ 1.99, not $ 4.99. Don’t make the people in the already long line wait even longer as you take eternity to dumbly wander over to the toilet paper item to confirm that I’m not lying. When I’m correct, and you finally figure out how to change the price, be apologetic. Don’t scowl at me in disgust. I’m not the one who’s scanners are off. This happened on 5 items today. Fix your system. 2. Have more staff. Nobody likes to wait for New Years 2020 to buy their groceries. Lines 10 people deep are not acceptable. Maybe if you fix problem 1, your lines will move faster. 3. Hire competent people. I understand Columbus isn’t known for its brilliant school system, and maybe the teens here are just that dumb, but there has to be a kid that is actually smart enough to interact with the customers. Eye contact is a plus. Learn how to work the register and don’t treat guests like we interrupted your social hour. I want you to ring up, and bag my purchase. I don’t want to hear how about last night’s date, bonfire, drinking party, or how gross the last customer is. Be respectful and do your job. I can’t wait until these snot– nosed spoiled brats are in the real world. God help us all. Also, don’t mumble. My name is not«Dogg.» Talk normally so all can understand. I think I figured it out. Hire different staff and your problems might be solved. I shouldn’t have to drive to Beaver Dam to get groceries. However, it probably would be faster. Columbus, let’s hope for better.
