Lets get it out of the way. A few bummers: — Too much BBQ sauce. I don’t like spicy, and there was way too much of the not-spicy kind. It has a sweet, yum yum sauce, flavor, and it was almost sickening sweet for my likings. No hints of «savory». The sauce negated any chance of tasting the pork chunks. — Veggies? On their menu board, it describes the BBQ bowls all having«veggies»… Besides the leafs of lettuce separating the translucent noodles from the rice, I noticed a few small cuts of cucumber, but that was it. Yes, I followed recommendations and stirred the bowl’s contents before eating. This meal has left me with awkward feelings…

Does not taste like Korean food at all. They also put way too fking much mayonnaise on the food. And it’s overpriced. AVOID!

So we were at a music festival with only two options and Cupzilla was one of them. We gave them a try, and were mildly surprised. The husband ordered the ‘Hot-Cup’ and we both shared. It was the truck’s take on ‘Korean BBQ’, and it was A-OK. I didn’t find the meat to be overly fascinating, or wow-ing. The rest of the bowl consisted of rice noodles, cabbage, rice, spicy Mayo, and a couple other sauces in there for kick. You can order based on Heat levels.(I think from levels 1 – 6) All in all. It was alright. A little sloppy towards the bottom, super watery, and the added rice needed to be cooked a little bit longer. It was quick, but there were no lines really. The guys running the truck were pretty nice, so that’s a plus. I wouldn’t completely write this truck off, but I wouldn’t chase it across town, either. The cup was filling, but what looms over your head is if the $ 9 was really worth it. Perhaps we’ll meet again.

My first and only experience with this food truck happened at the Columbus Food Truck Festival in late August. When I arrived at the scene, the line to this truck was EXTREMELY long so it must have be good right? I was also starving. Food is always good when you’re hungry right? Wrong. I waited in line for over half an hour and ordered the B-cup. The food pictured on their menu sure looked good but what I received was severely disappointing. For 9 bucks I received a cup of lukewarm crap doused in some kind of spicy mayonnaise. The«vegetables» included were basically a couple iceberg lettuce leaves. Jap chae was lacking in flavor and the meat was also of poor quality and very minimal. Rice was cold. There was no green onion for garnish, no sesame seeds. No sesame oil flavor(an ESSENTIAL for jap chae). Honestly, this didn’t taste Korean in the least bit. I felt jipped and the abundance of mayonnaise sauce made me sick to my stomach. Despite being a poor college student ridden with debt, I ended up throwing half of it away(I am the type who hates wasting food too.) Overall: –1 star poor quality –1 star poor taste –1 star cold food –1 star expensive for what you get I will never eat here again. Even if it’s free. YUCK.

First time at this food truck. I ordered the C-Cup with just chicken and veggies. I didn’t want any rice or noodles because I try to avoid that. I also told him to add extra chicken. What I got was some shredded chicken(minimal) with a couple of actual chunks of chicken and a heaping pile of generic lettuce all slathered in an orangish sauce with a topping of sesame seeds. Now I will say the chicken and the sauce were good. But I do not consider generic lettuce to be veggies. I was thinking peppers, onions, something along those lines. What a rip! And it was $ 9 by the time you factor tip. What makes me mad is I’m still HUNGRY! Cupzilla should be called Cupless. The End.

I just love this truck! It comes outside of OSU east and it makes the best lunch ever! You totally need to check this place out! I got the 2 on a scale of 1 – 5 for the«spicy factor» and I think next time I might go up to 3! Try it!

This was so fabulously delicious that I couldn’t let a 2.5 star rating stand untouched. The cups are salty, sweet, and filled to the brim with tasty food. I love the contrasting textures between the sticky rice at the bottom and the rice noodles and the meat. The potsticker-like items are delicious and a good buy too!(That said, the truck is not a $$$$ establishment– things are in the $ 7 – 8 fast casual range). The spice level is variable but I think we went for something pretty low like a 1 or 2, which was good, and I generally like things medium hot. It would be nice if the bowls had more veggies like in the pictures on their sign but I would still be happy to eat there once per week.

Columbus, please do yourself a favor and find this truck as quickly as possible! Went to Columbus for the day to hang out with buds and look at motorcycles and they had Cupzilla there to put food in our bellies. Fast, simple and delicious: enough said. Didn’t take pictures because I was too busy eating my combo with beef and chicken, at level 2 for spicy. Saw probably 10 people, minimum, order a second bowl of this awesome KOREAN cuisine.
