I love the knowledgeable staff and great selection of plants in spring and summer. This year I came in fall as well, and of course they have lots of pumpkins and mums, but they also have tons of kids activities. They have a bounce house, crafts, a corn sandbox, bowling, farm animals and more. We had a great time!

deMonye’s is the best! Looked all over central Ohio for plants that Ron Wilson, WTVN garden expert, recommended. Only place to find them was at deMonyes. Will go back often.

A nice local greenhouse, but sometimes the selection isn’t the best, and prices are a bit high. This is the closest nursery to me, so I can run over easily, but if I have time I go farther afield. Service is pretty good, and there is enough variety for the basics but not always enough to satisfy me.

While in Columbus for work, I drove by deMonye’s and had to stop after seeing the selection from the road. Boy am I glad I did. I just wish I had more time to spend looking around. Here’s my short, sweet, and(hopefully) informative review. 1 — Selection was awesome. More sections/areas than any greenhouse I’ve recently seen. 2– Pricing seemed reasonable on some items, but not others. I purchased a garden in a box, which included a tomato plant, basil, peppers, chives, lettuce and squash, already planted and growing nicely, for $ 25. Hanging baskets seemed a little pricey to me, however, they looked beautiful. 3 — Quality was very nice. Everything I looked at was beautiful, and the greenhouse gardeners did a really good job of keeping everything healthy, in order, and well watered. I’m not from the area, but I know the next time I come through town, I’m going to be stopping.

You know how I know I’m getting older? I get so excited about plants & gardening in my little yard! After asking fellow Unilocalers about their recommendations on Talk, and a quick nearby search, I was pleasantly surprised to learnt hat deMonye’s was super close to my house! Since they are locally owned and already had a few stellar reviews, off I went(with a coupon from the Town Money Saver in hand, even!) It’s in a pretty bizarre location and away from most other businesses. When you pull up you feel like you’ve stumbled into greenhouse heaven because it’s tucked away into a little cove. Once you walk in the smell of fresh goodness smacks you in the face and before you know it, you’re lost in a labyrinth of pansies, ferns, succulents, vegetables and more. It was almost like clothes shopping for me. I went through aisle and aisle and wondered where I could squeeze in this flower and that fern in my teeny tiny flower bed. I wondered what it would look like when I got it home and how it would look from afar. It was quite strange how I imagined all of this. There were plenty of employees roaming around and everyone was incredibly helpful. You can really tell they actually take care of the plants, raise them with some TLC instead of injecting them with Miracle Grow and hoping for the best. After pulling myself away and packing my cart/crate to the gills with flowers, pots, soil & supplies, I rolled it all the register to check out. While the prices on some plants seem to be higher than some places I’ve visited, it’s the TLC& locally-owned angle that will keep me coming back instead of going to a big box store like Lowe’s or something. Now I just need to get a bigger yard with a bigger flower bed for an excuse to come back again this season!

I’m writing this review based on previous visits — I haven’t been there this winter. :-) I stumbled upon it accidentally driving down 670… are those greenhouses? They ARE greenhouses! And this was at a time where I was attempting to turn my black thumb green, so I just HAD to go. When spring comes around, hike yourself here. Their selection of flowers(vine geraniums!) and veggies(heirloom tomatoes, raspberries, strawberries, squash) cannot be beat. All the plants are super healthy and thriving, too. Even someone like me has to try pretty hard to kill them off. They even have harder to find plants, like succulents and miniatures.

DeMonye’s is huge. They stock everything from herbs, exotic plants and flowers, to campy yard ornaments giant fountains. The greenhouse has a really comfortable feel, and lends itself to endless browsing through the sprawling aisles of plants and flowers. The prices are comparable to most large greenhouses, but they have the biggest selection of an independent greenhouse that I’ve come across.
