Derricks Auto Clinic

I recently had Derrick perform a repair on my 1979 Ford Mustang that had a power steering line issue. I’ve only used him one time but so far have been very impressed. Here are 6 things you should know about Derrick’s Auto Clinic:
1.) This is a one-​man operation based out of a single stall in a light-​industrial space off from Cleveland avenue. Having been in his shop, Derrick seems to be set up to perform most repairs. However, with limited space he may not be able to store your car before or after repairs are performed.
2.) He also offers mobile service. I had him out to look at my car first before bringing it in after it was determined that he would need to get it on a lift. The cost for this mobile service call was pretty minimal (around $ 30).
3.) He was very responsive in answering my calls and emails. As a one-​man operation all calls go directly to him.
4.) All forms of payment are welcome but I get the impression many transactions are cash-​based.
5.) His previous business was North Linden Motors. I cannot seem to find any negative (or positive) reviews. I view him to be a trustworthy mechanic.
6.) He was very flexible about doing repairs with parts that I provided. This made life somewhat easier, and likely cheaper.
So, as of now a definite 5-​star experience. Given the age of my car I am sure I will be going back.
