Tiny place to order food, but the food and flavors are huge! Excellent place to stop at for lunch. prices are good.

Gave Durangos another chance and I was very pleased. I got a smothered burrito. It was huge! I filled it with beef, Spanish rice, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes. They had quick and friendly service. I love how it is another option for delivery.

I tried this place twice. The first time the enchilada sauce was refrigerator cold. They obviously forgot to warm it up before they gave it to me. Both times the food was too salty and otherwise bland. Both times it was slower than I would hope for a walk up window and what seemed to be pre-made ingredients.

Durangos was great! I just had it for the first time because I wanted enchiladas but didn’t want to make them nor pay an absurd amount at El Vaquero. Anyway, they were DELICIOUS! Seriously. 3 enchiladas and a TON of rice for $ 7.50– super cheap in my opinion compared to other local places. My boyfriend got one of their burritos and it was HUGE. Seriously like the size of my head and it was only $ 8.25. He said he liked it better than Chipotle! I ordered through Order Up and it only took about 30 minutes to be delivered which was also GREAT. I will definitely be recommending Durangos to everyone and will for sure be ordering again!

Hope to give more stars after trying again. Good tacos for pick up. Love the concept but they need to work on service. After having to call and check in my online order, they said they were slammed for a Tuesday. I get it but my order of 2 tacos and a bowl was entered and acknowledged at 6:50 and I didn’t get it until 7:50. A grub hub driver had been waiting 30 minutes. While clearly unacceptable service they could have made up for it by offering say a free taco or other on the next visit. Maybe a smile and sincere«sorry for your wait». I’ll give it another try and hope for a much better experience.

Great authentic food, definitely not Chipotle. In the best way possible. Full of flavor. Both the pot roast and the adobo smoked fish were fantastic. Very reasonable price and they deliver! Will be returning wherever I’m in the mood for something cheesy and flavorful.

This place is great! The tacos are delicious– best crunchy shells I’ve had probably anywhere. The taco kits are great for parties. And, the fact that they deliver is so great– nice to have an alternative to pizza. I called to see if they were open Née Years Day– they weren’t, but the owner actually made an exception, came in, and made two taco kits and packaged up a bunch of chips and dips– totally above and beyond.

Very disappointed. It seems like a great idea: a small hole in the wall local restaurant that exclusively does delivery and takeout Mexican. But unfortunately it fails on every level. The food was alright but certainly not worth $ 24 for 2 burritos and a bag of chips. It’s basically a knock off of Chipotle with the gimmick that it offers delivery. The«wet» burritos are giant but look far better than they actually taste. The sauces and meats are average but definitely not anything special and nothing I would go back for. The fajita fillings of onion and peppers were less than average since they were basically raw. The chips and queso were average but not worth $ 3 for a tiny bag of chips and a tiny cup of queso. It operates solely as a take-out /delivery place so the inside it just a window with a small amount of standing room to order — which would be really cool if the woman working the window had any personality or was even remotely pleasant to talk to(she’s not). We will not be returning or ordering their delivery since we can get better quality food for less money and with better service. We really wanted to like it – sorry :/

Mexican Food + Delivery = Awesome! The Granview area has been in serious need of something other than pizza delivery for a long time. This fits the bill, perfectly! The food was so good! We ordered two Chicken Chimirango’s, Wet. I ordered mine with black beans, Cilantro-lime rice, and Steam Engine salsa(med). I asked for no onion, but there were some anyway — I just picked them out. No biggie. They might have been in the salsa? The second was the same, except pinto beans and Choo-Choo salsa(mild). The burritos were huge and drool-worthy. Did I mention they were huge? We also got chips, salsa and guac. The Guac was super fresh and delicious. Oh and we also got some churro chips. O.M.G. As if I had any room left, but I gave it my best shot because they were delicious too! I think delivery was closer to 40 minutes instead of 30, but so worth the wait! We will definitely be ordering again. Are they open tonight? :)

I have been to Durangos on multiple times since they have opened. I have tried most of their dishes and all the meats except fish because I do not eat much fish! My favorite is the ground beef which has a good kick to it(not too spicy at all) and the speciality roast which is excellent. I also like the house made salsas. When I am in the mood the Diablo salsa is one of the hottest I have ever had. They have corn shell tacos and home made hard taco shells. The burritos come packed with fresh ingredients and are good for multiple meals. The people who work their are friendly and happy to serve you. It typically takes 5 minutes max to get your order but they do get very busy sometimes which to me is understandable. I highly recommend Durangos and suggest you give it a try and see what you think. My most common order is 3 soft flour tacos with ground beef, lettuce, pico de gallo and cheddar jack cheese but I do switch it up as the ingredients and combinations are May favorite style of food.

They deliver tacos! This is an awesome alternative to ordering pizza. It probably costs a little more then pizza delivery, but the food is great. The hot salsa and mild salsas are made fresh and taste great. Definitely give it a try.

Every bit as good as Chipotle with no wait! And a buy one get one free coupon. Little gem I would recommend for take out of that sort.

I went here the first time and got only a burrito like I get at Chipotle: salsa(Steam Engine — Hot), cilantro rice, southwest pot roast, and no beans. It was ok but I wasn’t super thrilled about the flavor. Would have rather had Chipotle’s Barbacoa burrito. The second time I went, I got something AMAZING. Burrito with chicken, same rice and salsa but this time I did a Chimirango and made it wet with rojo enchilada sauce. It was something so different and something Chipotle cannot offer that it really sets Durango’s apart from the other highly frequented chains. Deep frying the whole burrito gave it a wonderful texture and taste, making it super warm on the inside. Then making it wet with the enchilada sauce just added that extra bit of flavor to make it delicious. I also love the salsa. Steam Engine was perfect for me and I love medium flavored salsa’s. The very hot salsa is a little too spicy for me and took away from the flavor of the rest of the ingredients of the burrito. I will definitely go back and I’m definitely going to order the same thing again. Definitely a recommendation if you want to find something not-Chipotle.

Durangos gets a solid A-OK in my book. It’s the perfect takeout/delivery option for this area as Grandview/UA/5xNW is pretty limited to pizza delivery. And the Chipotle on 5th is pretty shitty and stingy on portions. Bf is a frequent customer by now and I finally caved. Their 9-taco kit was pretty good and it is awesome they don’t limit your options in the slightest. You can pick up to 3 meats(3!!!), 2 kinds of cheese and salsa. They give you some shredded lettuce, too. Luckily we had some extras in the fridge that spruced them up a bit, like fresh cilantro, sour cream and tomatoes. Our verdict? He loves the Pot Roast, I love the pork, «meh» to the fish. Keep in mind, the kits are totally DIY… he was surprised by this, but I like that I can customize each taco. The burritos are HUGE. Like, the size of a swaddled baby. I’ve ordered a burrito twice and have yet to make it past the halfway mark. Burritos are around $ 7, depending on your choice of protein and you get to pick a meat, style of bean and style of rice. They put some cheese and tomatoes in there, too. I always opt for«fajita style»(peppers & onions) for 50 cents extra. Personally I don’t think it’s worth $ 1.50 to get your burrito«wet» — smothered in melted cheese and sauce. It sounds way better than it is. They offer salads, bowls and enchiladas too… I have yet to cross those borders. Check the Grandview/UA Saver for coupons, they usually have some good ones. Bf signed up for their mailing list and got some great coups, too. Is it our favorite place for Mexican? Well, no. But we will definitely be repeat customers for as long as they’re around!

If you’re in the mood for a quick burrito that’s not sold by a big chain, Durango’s might be calling your name. They offer tacos and enchiladas, as well. The food is fast and good. I had the burrito with the southwest pot roast. The slow-cooked shredded beef was very tender and the portion was generous, though it could use more flavor. I had the«hot» sauce, but didn’t notice any heat, so I’ll try the«very hot» next time. They also sell Jarritos(including tamarind)!

Here’s the problem with Durangos: they’re focusing solely on delivery as their main selling point. Just look at their webpage. They don’t even talk about their food on the front page until they get toward the bottom. Is it good tasting? Who knows. Does it exist? Probably??? But I KNOW I can get it delivered. Whatever it is. Therein lies the problem. I know I can get it, but do I actually want it? Unfortunately I don’t think so. The food(it’s Mexican if you’re curious) is mediocre and what I got seemed hastily thrown together. A little sauce on my tacos here and there, a little bit of meat thrown in, and a sparse amount of lettuce. It makes me sad to give Durangos two stars, but I unfortunately feel that’s what it earned. But hey, at least I know how I can get it.

I tried this place out last night, but sadly, I wasn’t a fan. I went with a pot roast burrito, and the loco salsa, but the salsa wasn’t too hot and didn’t do all that much for me. The pot roast was okay but nothing too special. It was a pretty simple burrito with just rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and salsa. You could add sour cream for $.75 but then that would jack up the price up to $ 8. Chipotle costs about the same, but it’s bigger, and in my opinion, the salsas tastes better and the meats are just as high quality, so is there any real reason to pick this place over them? The place offers delivery, but not to my neighborhood, and I’m only a mile away. I think the biggest problem with the spot is that it has nothing to make it stand out from the rest of the area. My buddy got the tacos and thought they were pretty average, but they were $ 2.25−2.50 and not all that big. When you open a taco place up within a mile and a half of Junior’s, which is considered by many to have some of the best tacos in town, why would you charge that much more for a taco(Junior’s are $ 1.50)? Also, didn’t Junior’s announce in October that it opened up a second truck in the convenience store that’s literally across the street from Durango’s( )? I’m not sure if that’s still happening in the Spring as well, but then what? I love Mexican food, and I’d love for this place to do well, but I feel like they really need to step their game up if they want to last.

Worth a try… I had been very excited to try the new burrito place on Northwest. I am sad to report that the food is only«so-so». I ordered the white fish bowl(the equivalent of burrito sans the tortilla). It was no doubt good, but nothing special. The ingredients were very basic — shredded cheddar, lettuce, tomato, beans, rice, salsa, white fish. It seemed fresh, but didn’t excite me all that much. The presentation was not overly desirable with ingredients separated in a tin container. I also feel that the bowl portion was substantially smaller than the pictures of their gargantuan burritos. Finally, it could use more seasoning or some zest to kick it up a notch. Flavor is key. I would like to give this place another try. They have a superior location and who doesn’t love fast-casual Mexican food? Give it a try, see what you think.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for this place to open up after driving by the location so many times. I thought it was opening in November but it appears to have opened sometime in January. I think it’s a great idea for the area, a pick up/delivery taco/burrito/enchilada place. I’ve been twice in the past 3 weeks and have had identical experiences each time. I highly recommend the burritos, with all of the options, especially the wet and fajita styles. However…(Attn:Owner/Manager) Each time, the rice has been crunchy,=not fully fully cooked. They’ve NAILED the hard aspects like making the burrito huge and delicious and wonderfully crispy but need to revisit their process for cooking the rice. I’m looking forward to changing my review to 5 stars when I go back another time and the rice doesn’t crunch a bit. This place has great potential.

Went there Sunday around 12:20pm and sign on door said ‘Open’. Went to door and was locked and nobody there. Very disappointed in them! Not a good sign for a new restaurant trying to make a go of it!
