key center is a rip off. 50 dollars for chip key, call key express and get one for 29.00. Are you people for real. Last time i was there there were 3 people in the little out house type key shop! What happened???

Once a busy packed mall is now a empty hangout for thugs. Alot of break ins in the parking lot and many shootings inside of this mall. Go to Tuttle or polaris you will be glad u did.

Eastland Mall has really gone downhill… The new owners really made it ghetto where most of the storefronts on the LAZARUSEND are closed… Not to mention that the old Lazarus is a potential fire hazard to the rest of the place… No record, book, or toy stores… As to the food. Steak Escape is your best bet… macy’s and Sears are the last anchor stores there… No movie theater as well… When you call them out on their facebook on how bad the place is… They remove your comment… The mall is DEAD and will not return… My mom worked there when it was nice… Too bad the new owners are GHETTO…

I honestly cannot believe this mall is still going. Though I could’ve sworn it was just bought out and set to close, I’ll have to search for that article again. Anyway, the store selection here is pretty bad with the exception of JCPenney, Macy’s and Victoria’s Secret. The teens here(and some of the adults too) have the worst attitude and seem to always want to pick a fight over something small. It’s quite run down and nothing like how it used to be when I were young. Then again, the area has gotten pretty bad as well. If you’re looking for a clean, family-friendly mall to go to with a large selection of stores go to Easton Town Center.

With all of the negative perceptions I hear about Eastland mall, I was really surprised when I visited. It’s not a ghost town, as I’ve heard. There were very few empty storefronts(but lacking two of its four anchor stores may be why I hear that). And there were plenty of people when I visited — on a Thursday. The area seems a little sketchy, I guess. People make it sound like you’re visiting East Cleveland. You’re not, and this area has a lot of potential. Tons of businesses around the mall area. A little investment will help a lot. The food court is really nice. My wife and I had the Caribbean food, and both of us really enjoyed it. The fried plantains are where it’s at. Honestly, it’s like most other malls. A bit run-down, but still worth going if they have what you need.

I don’t like this mall anymore. My family and I would go there because it was the closes mall to use but I’m sick of it. There isn’t a lot of stores in my opinion and every time I’m there a crime is happening; for example someone stealing from a store or braking in a car. -.- Maybe they should put a movie theater to attract more attention.

I say it is just OK. Well, the Mall of my childhood is still standing after a lot of the other big stores and Malls in the area have picked up an gone. When Lazarus was bought out by Macy’s then went down hill quickly. I miss the old Lazarus with the café that over looked the whole mall. Now the store is a charter school. Then what happened to the Movie theatre. That used to bring business into the Mall. I remember Saturday afternoons shopping with my family and going to see a Matinée. As a teen being dropped of with friends to shop and hang out. We would have lunch at Woolworth’s café, or the Juice bar. and shop at Limited Express. Sneak into Spencer’s back room which was for adults only. Ha, Ha. There are the small start ups as was mentioned. There is the new food court, which the food cost more then the quality or quantity. Macy’s, Sears, and JC Penny are hanging in there. Lane Bryant, and a few other high end name brand stores are trying to hang in there. Then there are some lower priced bargain, stores. I wish I could have the exciting, crowded mall back of my childhood when it was an event to «Go to the Mall.» WHATHAPPENED!!! I guess you can blame all the store down on RT256 between Reynoldsburg and Pickerington. Or is it just that Columbus people are fickle. Who knows.

The last of the old guard of Columbus malls, Eastland is the lone shopping mall serving the southern metro area. Northland is long gone, and Westland and City Center are shells of their former selves. So, unless you want to go to Tuttle, Polaris or Easton, the place is Eastland. Eastland went downhill for a while, but over the past few years it’s improved a good bit. It was renovated recently, and most of the stores are intact — Macy’s, JC Penny, Sears, Victoria’s Secret, B&BW, etc. The food court is surprisingly good too — Chick-Fil-A!!! Still, all things aren’t on the up-and-up. Several months back there was a shooting here. The Gap closed a year or two ago, which was unfortunate.

How this mall is still standing is a bit of a small wonder to me. the only thing I can think of is that there are NO good malls anywhere in the downtown area, or really anywhere south of there. The last time I was in here around half of the stores had been closed, and the ones that were opened looked like scaled down cheaper versions of the same stores at other malls. Many of the standard mall stores have pulled up the stakes and moved on to greener pastures, leaving plenty of open retail space for smaller start-up businesses. I do agree with Randy as far as the food court goes. That was easily the bumpin’ spot at the mall when I was there, but still not a reason to make the trip. You can find a Chick-Fil-A elsewhere, methinks, and as with everything else in Eastland, you’d probably be better off doing so.
