My boyfriend & I chose this as a pit stop while on a road trip from NY to Missouri basically because it was fairly inexpensive. The people running the place were very nice! The rooms… served their purpose. We literally got there(late check in), slept a few hours & left! We booked the room with one Queen sized bed. The beds were comfortable enough. They only seem to give 3 pillows instead of 4 so if you need more, you might request ahead of time. I was pleasantly surprised at how soft the towels were! The rooms were pretty clean but they sure could use some updating! Neither of the rooms we had were carpeted & one of the nights we did not have the table & chair set… but whatever… If you need a room for a night or two, this should do you just fine for the price. Also, you can walk to the Waffle House right next door. And now a quick little funny story —(not funny HAHA but more like funny WTF?)… Not exactly sure what this was about but… As we were unpacking & transferring our belongings from car to room on the way back home there was a noisy pickup truck parked & idling directly in front of our room door. Finally, a young guy comes running down from the 2nd floor, gets in & just sits there while we were still doing our thing(mind you, this is about 11PM on a Friday night). Anyhow, he eventually opens his passenger window & hollers over to me & asks«do you know if this place has any cameras»? Huh? I hesitantly approached the truck not sure if I heard right & asked«what was that»? He asked again if I knew if there were any cameras around. I thought to myself, dude… if you notice, we are just unpacking the car so…, how the HELL should I know!!! I felt the burning urge to offer to go check with the front desk for him if he’d like… Then, I got a little nervous… Why is someone so concerned with whether or not there are cameras around unless if they are up to no good?!! Maybe he just purchased a new hunting rifle & wanted to try it out… I then saw him«light up» & he continued to sit there. I brought a few things into the room & noticed him staring in so I quickly pulled the curtain & semi shut the door until we were done & inside(door shut & locked)! At some point, not long after, I heard him drive away & to my knowledge, he did not come back, which was A-ok with me! The next morning I didn’t spot his pickup parked anywhere & wondered if there were dead bodies left behind in one of the rooms upstairs… Creepy much…

I stayed here just last week, it was not horrifying but I would not have stayed with the wife and kids if they had been with me on this trip. The room was clean, the nice couple from India were polite and their living quarters were just beyond the desk. This is a hotel to turn to if there is absolutely nothing else anywhere and sleeping in your car is the next option. I didn’t think the neighborhood was safe, it is on a street with a truck gas station across the road. The rate was low, by less than half the hotels nearby, I didn’t think myself smart for booking it, after getting here. This place is really sad looking. I can’t imagine ever staying here again.

If you end up in Columbus, not to hang out in the city, but to rest and wake up early to keep driving, stay here. We paid less than $ 40 dollars for one night. I recommend stopping at a rest stop before entering Columbus and grabbing one of those«hotel/motel discount books.» That’s where we got our coupon. The places recommended in downtown Columbus were to too expensive for our budget and if you go beyond Columbus, it seemed sketchy. The bed is queen size, the furniture is basic and the bathroom was clean. There was also a t.v. and a couch in the room. However, it was a bit noisy due to the traffic.
