I would give them 5 stars but the coffee is not as good as it used to be! My order is always a double shot espresso. They have a double punch day which is Thursday! U have to know their magic word which is usually posted on their facebook page however! U could come up with whatever word since the workers have no clue! Hahaha Service is SONICEANDFRIENDLY! They r up to a small talk! They’d really appreciate u and will remember ur name Try them and always smile! Happy Coffee everyone

Just a standard coffee shop, but their service is really friendly.

I like their morning buzz coffee but that’s about it. Staff is friendly enough. Everything tastes like cheap syrup if I try anything different. It’s gross.

This is mostly just a basic coffee and tea stand, and a slightly overpriced one at that, but when the service is super-friendly and the specialty drinks pretty awesome, a «basic» stand ends up being less so. That is, more than basic. You know what I mean. I’m embarrassed to say how long it took me to find this place my first time here. I knew I was near tea(I’m sure many of you have similar coffee-dar), but the official address and near-lack of signage(for EspressOasis specifically; other things here are VERY well signed) meant I was circling the buildings, sidewalks, and underground corridors of the Med Center for, um… I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. So I’ll make it easier for those who want a brew better than you’ll find downstairs at Wendy’s: go up. There’s a staircase directly to the north of the aromatic burger enclave. Turn the corner and find coffee nirvana. Ok, that’s an exaggeration, but it felt like that after I’d walked six miles in a four-block radius. So the stand itself… I had hot tea that day, and I’ve had the green tea smoothie(soy or almond milk available for 65 cents more). The barista recognized and commented on my Dr. Horrible t-shirt. Way to geek-present(and he had distractingly good teeth)! For some reason they made two of my order and some other green tea-loving soy imbiber could have gotten a $ 5.60 drink for free(not kidding; she held it up and yelled, «Free smoothie!»), but I don’t think there were any takers. There are no tables, but no one will stop you from taking your drink downstairs to the aromatic burger enclave(I like this phrase so much, I’m gonna use it forever), and there are benches on the same floor as the stand. The hospital has complimentary wifi that seems to work well. And that’s it… It might be less nirvana-ish of you already know where it is, but it’s still pretty good.

This place is ok, better than buying coffee at the hospital cafeteria or wendy’s. The lines are pretty long sometimes but they can be just as long at Wendy’s. The hours are mostly for morning and afternoon. Apparently they are not allowed to give out cup of ice water and instead only can give you a cup of ice and tell you to go down the hall to the drinking fountain to fill it up. A little weird customer service but overall they have been friendly. The prices here are a little high it seems but also consider that the wendy’s in the hospital has higher prices than a regular wendy’s in columbus.

I like math. I mean, how could I not when mathematical information is practically encoded in my Asian genes? But I digress. I’m not going to lie. I have an incurable weakness for flavored coffee. Starbuck’s, unfortunately, does not offer flavored coffee and additional flavor shot would cost about $ 0.55 more bringing my large(but since we’re talking Starbuck’s term, Venti) coffee to $ 2.50. And then I discovered Espress Oasis, conveniently located inside the Ohio State University Medical Center(OSUMC, if you will.) Coffee flavors change daily and I can get a large coffee for $ 1.90. YES! Come exam time, I chug the Hawaiian Hazelnut flavored coffee with skim milk and Splenda like no tomorrow. Another favorite drink at EO is the scrumptious sugar-free chai latte. Yes, sugar-free can be just as yummy, if not more. I was a late bloomer when it comes to chai and ironically enough, this was the first place I had ordered chai. Creamy, frothy, aspartamey, and full of spices… mmm! Needless to say, the chai elsewhere simply cannot compare to this wholesome goodness. I had to knock off a star for the s l o w service, especially during peak hours. Seeing how we’re talking hospital time, peak hours means 6−8am(although one could easily argue that it’s just about any hour of the day.) So feel free to take a powernap while waiting in line. Chances are by the time you’re up, you’ll see that there are only 5 people ahead of you, as opposed to the 20 or so. And just for the record, I never liked math, but advanced calculus just killed the last bit of tolerance I had for math.

This is not a shot at anyone specific, but as I’ve never seen this place reviewed before I feel need to comment. Working at the hospital I’ve realized the concept of ‘mouth feel” and acidity in coffee is vastly overlooked… everyone wants coffee to taste like dessert, or italian soda. The product served at «the Oasis» has no mouthfeel and strong italian soda flavor. Why? Because the beans they use are terrible and that fact is masked by copious overflavoring. While I guess it is nice to have a coffee shop at OSUMC, I’m going to disagree with the previous review based on princple. The coffee is VASTLY overpriced for the quality of the beans. The lines are essentially a fire hazzard. It indirectly draws people to the cookie place across the way(which does NOT belong in a hospital.) The flavors are okay, but certainly not on par with Cup O Joe or other places(Meeting Place in Lima comes to mind.) Service? It sucks. I’ll drink the cheap stuff in the ‘nutrition rooms’ for free.
