Fiesta Jalisco

This used to be one of my favorite spots for Mexican. It has gone seriously downhill the past few months for me. The food we got was bland and greasy. It was like they forgot to season all 3 of our meals and one they just totally left out the pico de gallo. The chips tasted stale and salsa very bland and watery. They gave only one tablespoon of guacamole and 2 tablepoons of sour cream for an entire quesadilla dish, which was unfortunate considering that was the only 2 components that gave the dish any flavor. Service was also non-​existent but I didn’t hold that against them as they seemed to be understaffed and I know that isn’t the waiter’s fault. I will be avoiding this place from now on and start trying other Mexican places.

This place is good! Hostess was happy and seated us quickly. Husband and I each got a margarita. Mine was the Cadillac on the rocks. Delicious/​potent yum! His was blended peach (tasted good also). We both had variation of chicken. Both were huge plates of goodness. We ordinarily go to Rancho allegre. But this place has far better service/​pride in what they’re doing. My husband said he prefers allegre (maybe it’s the more cozy ambience– but you gotta create it yourself– cause the wait staff doesn’t give a care there). We will definitely return to this place soon!

Ordered Jalisco Burrito with carne asada and its was awesome. Big with jalapeños and wet sauce. Hidden gem.

Everything was fresh and delicious. All kinds of stuff on the menu. Great service. Cadillac margarita was awesome! This is my new Mexican night choice.

Margaritas were strong!!! Service was great. Food was extremely flavorful. I can’t believe the rice was so flavorful. And I was obsessed with the queso. I would definitely rate this as one of the best Mexican spots I’ve had in a long time.

I go here almost every time my parents take me out and enjoy the food, and friendly faces of the waiters, immensely. So, based on return trips, I say this place is currently the best and consistent mexican in central Ohio. I’ve had better mexican but not around here in any reachable manner.
The margaritas are top frickin’ notch. The meat is always tasty and tortillas perfection. My personal favorites are the appetizers, fajitas or quesadillas. The only problems with these regulars that I’ve had were once in a while sogginess but never with the entire dish. They are a little slow with noticing to refill drinks but everyone is friendly enough that I feel more than comfortable flagging them down or putting my empty glass near the edge of the table.
At any place you will have bad experiences. But Fiesta Jalisco is definitely a restaurant where, if you communicate clearly and are reasonable, you’ll love it.
(Also and if you give a place a bad review out of rage from a small language barrier, just don’t come here at all.)

I went in with a huge group. The service was phenomenal, and everyone was very happy with their food. Some of us ordered items that are not typical on a Mexican restaurant menu and they were wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is probably the worse Mexican food I have ever had. I don’t eat at Taco Bell but I would bet TB tastes better. First the positives… Service was good but not that attentive a drink refill would have been nice and since the chips were decent more would have been good but never offered. The salsa was sweet not the typical ones with cilantro and a slight kick. I ordered my favorite dish — Chimichanga and paid extra for shredded beef. It came with a generous portion of guacamole and sour cream. Also generous side of rice and beans. The taste of the meat was awful plus it looked like they may have put shredded chicken in with it. The guacamole had so much onion in it that it was just yuck! I wasn’t sure how fresh the sour was since it was just nasty tasting. I never leave my food — especially a favorite dish but halfway through I just couldn’t stomach anymore. It wasn’t cheap either. My husband said his enchiladas were terrible. Do yourself a favor — run don’t walk away from Fiesta Jalisco!

How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. Their fajita was all onion minimal over marinated steak. Salsa was watery and tasteless obviously was pre made and had been sitting. Guacamole was pre made and was mixed with sour cream I think that gave it a green milky color and texture and of course flavorless I took one bite before sending it back just to confirm my suspicions. I asked to talk to manager he never bothered to come out. This is certainly a pass. I wouldn’t eat here again if someone paid me. I highly suggest you go anywhere else.

The shrimp enchiladas were amazing! Great service too! Will be back! A lot! The rice was so fresh and good!

I’ve been here a couple of times now and I eat a lot of Mexican food. I’ve been to Mexico many times, and have eaten most of what Columbus has to offer in the way of Mexican food. This place has the best authentic Mexican food in Columbus. When I go into a restaurant I like to look at who is eating there, Asians eating in an Asian restaurant, Germans in a German restaurant, you get where I’m going with this. To me it represents authenticity because of people of that particular origin are eating there it should be good right? Well when you go here expect people of Hispanic origin eating here. I would give this place 5 stars if it weren’t for the happy hour/​margaritas. The margaritas are good but they charge more than others places in Columbus and they use REALLY CHEAP tequila. You can order more expensive tequila but it won’t be cheap.

One of my favorite Mexican spots in Columbus. Love the new building and the always generous portions. Always go with a pitcher of Margarita’s for a great night. The house combo fajitas and support burrito are my go to dishes. Their Mexican pizza is also very good.

Great food! Great service! Best margaritas Columbus! I aim to earn more check in points in order to get a Mexican hat dance from the owner! I have never had an issue with this establishment! Their food is reasonably priced for what you get! I never leave hungry!

my food was pretty decent here. i did have a problem with the seating i just felt like we were so close to the next table that i wanted to scream «this is my private space!!» lol.

I just went here today after work and the food was SO good!!! I passed it many times, but decided to go there today when I picked up my mentee, because it was very close to her grandma’s house. I had some flank steak with onions & peppers. It was so very tasty and they gave me a LOT of food for the price! I had to take some home!
My mentee got the veggie enchilada. She’s young and goes by looks. She initially didn’t like the presentation but she was wonderfully surprised because she loved the way it tasted also.
The service was excellent to go along with the food. The price was great I would definitely return. I plan to tell all my friends and co-​workers about it.

Was in the mood for Mexican so I thought I’d try some place I haven’t been to in quite awhile. First up they immediately bring out a basket of chips and salsa. I think the chips are out of a bag but the salsa seemed to be made fresh and it tasted pretty good. My husband ordered chicken tamales with beans and rice. I tend to measure my visits at Mexican places by their chicken chimichanga probably a throwback to my Chi Chi’s days and I got just beans. My hubby liked his dish and said it was tasty. Mine on the other hand was disappointing. My chimi wasn’t crispy at all and the filling was flavorless. The beans seemed right out of the can too which disappoints. Another side note for some reason my server kept forgetting to get my iced tea and when I finally got it I wasn’t given a straw. I know it’s minor but it’s a pet peeve of mine when I have to ask for a straw. All in all seems like an average place.

My issue with Mexican resaraunts is they all taste the same to me. The food was fine but did not make an impression. I would go back but probably won’t because its a little far from home.
We hung out at the bar after dinner and it was fun. good margaritas and again the service was friendly and fast.

Well the food is good. Atmosphere was pleasant. But trying to get my drink refilled was retarded. Asked for a refill of my Sierra mist. They took my glass and never can back. So drank warm water the rest of time. Other than this mishap though. Their wings though are small, were delicious. Their service though, at least to me was horrible!!! I’ll never come back but I don’t like being treated like crap. But I will say everyone should try. Maybe my waiter was having an off day. I’ll just never come back

Reliably good food and servers who remember you and your special orders. Oh and the margaritas are great. This is my comfort food.

There are a lot of good Mexican restaurants in Columbus, but Fiesta Jalisco is at the top.

Nothing really to say, except come in and try it out! We love this place. Absolutely amazing place here. We keep coming back as we know what to expect. The staff are awesome people and make you feel at home.
