The people here are lovely, and the food is dank. It doesn’t matter if I take it to go, or eat there, it’s always prepared quickly and with a smile. Keep being awesome!

Be warned, they use honey ham-even on a savory sub like Italian. Ever had a sugary sweet Italian sub? You will here — gross. They do not have a «normal» ham option, only honey ham.

Great food. Prices are alright. Service and food are always consistent and that goes a long ways. No matter how busy they are, they are able to get your order and your food done pretty quickly.

I have been coming here for a while. You all can probably tell just by seeing the amount of check-in’s I’ve had here. I have never experienced what happened tonight. I ordered my sub around 7:20ish and waited like 30 minutes for my order to be done. Not only were the people before me were getting their orders quickly but so were the people after me. Needless to say, the employees saw me getting a little angry for sitting for such a long time. They in turn, all looked over and(maybe even asked the manager what to do) because they’d never kept a customer waiting for that long. He said give her a coupon to get her next sub free. They were so scared I would review them badly and give them bad feedback on their website. Although I’m not that kind of person. They didn’t mess up badly they just kept me waiting for more time than I would have liked to stay for a to go order. My feedback if they are reading this, just work on time management. I know making each customer happy is probably priority here and keeping them waiting is not something you want just start making the sub as I tell the order then things would go more smoothly in the future. I hope my feedback helps, you didn’t completely loose me as a customer if you were worried about that I wouldn’t have given a 3 star review if I didn’t think something was good with the place after the countless times I’ve been here.

Great place to go if you’re craving a good sub! Their hot subs are their specialty! The Italian and meatball subs are a couple of my favorites. They also have one of those big touch screen soda machines. You don’t really see too many of those! Service is quick and staff is friendly as they greet you upon entering. It’s fun for kids too because of the firemen hats they have available. :)

#8 Engineer Sub was hearty & well prepared. The medium was filling but more importantly, full of flavor. Enjoyed chips. Note: the«Medium» is a 32 ounce size so definitely a lot of soda. Combo cost = $ 8.50.

I have been a recent convert to Firehouse Subs. I heard the best compliments from a friend of mine and then my parents. I tried their meat ball sub and fell in love. The meat balls are the most tender and well seasoned meat balls I have found in a restaurant sandwich. All of their sandwiches are full of flavor and consistently well-made.

For a corporate place firehouse has the best sub of all the chains. The hook and ladder is delicious. I also love the briscuit and the have my favorite meat ball subs out there. The meats are steamed and I love getting, black olives, and japelenos baked with the meat balls. The brownies are also awesome and they have many hot sauces to try which I love. Screw Subway and their shovel loads of lettuce. Firehouse is way better.

Tried this location, it is not as good as the Hilliard location. The portion sizes are smaller. Never had issues at other location, our four sandwiches here left us underwhelmed and hungry after dropping $ 40.00 for four medium combos. Preparation time was long considering we were the only people dining in. Some carry out was served that ordered after us. We like Firehouse Subs, but not this location so much.

We went during lunch rush and the staff was still awesomely friendly and attentive. Staff delivers orders to your table and picks up trats. I got the chedddar brisket with lettuce and it was AMAZING. The place was packed and it only took 5 minutes to get our food. Definitely the best Firehouse I’ve been to.

I agree the«Welcome to Firehouse» could get agitating but they seem to have it synced and low-keyed enough as not to be obtrusive. Unfortunately I had to hear it a number of times because it was a solid 15 minute wait for my carryout lunch during noon rush. But as a sub goes, the King’s Hawaiian pulled pork… pretty darn tasty. I also didn’t get my pickle on the side. I got my wife a salad, it was decent. Clean, fun décor. But, if I’m in a hurry, Arby has a similarly delicious brisket sandwich which they can slam together in two winks, and pull a salad out of the prep cooler, and I’m outta there in a few minutes.

Firehouse Subs are awesome, reminds me of the old school grinders I had as a kid. This location has a great family that runs it with a friendly staff. The Hook & Ladder and Italian are two personal favorites.

Best subs ever!!! Hubby had the beef brisket and I had the engineer. Each fully loaded sub comes with a pickle. Our subs were very meaty

I’m not entirely sure what’s so difficult about this place. I had 3 different staff members ask me if I «knew the deal» with menu. Perhaps, they should consider having printed menus lying about the place so people can study something other than the cluttered billboard behind the counter. The counter staff were nice and quick which was a plus. Although, it was distracting to hear them being prompted to yell«Welcome to Firehouse» every time someone walked in the door. The food was about Quiznos level. The bread is better than Subway but I prefer the fresh baked variety at DiBella’s. I had the steak and cheese, which was all right although the meat was a bit dry but there was an ample amount of it. Overall, I feel like I paid more for less here. I could have gone to either Quizno’s or DiBella’s and had comparable food for a few dollars less.

Dare I start off by saying Subway is better than Firehouse? Sure, this location is huge, the staff nice, service fast and its very clean here. For one its expensive for what you get. We paid $ 30 for 2 sandwhiches and a salad. Turns out the sub on a club that my son ordered was horrible so he brought it back. It had turkey, ham and bacon and since he said all those meats were nasty, there was not much left for him to try and with that a very unpleasant meal with a hungry child complaining, not fun. I had the chef salad and asked if instead on ham I could have sauteed veggies which worked out fine. Unfortunatly what i got was microwaved? canned mushrooms and lukewarm raw onions and they forgot the cheese and eggs. Later on I noticed I could have gotten the same salad for $ 3 instead of $ 6 just without the slice of ham and cheese(or in my case veggies) which really annoyed me. My husband got the large briskit double meat and while it was a big sandwhich I’m not sure about the double meat part. Oh well, been there, done that, not going back.

Firehouse Subs has officially ruined Subway, Quiz-nos, and all those other mediocre sub dives for me. I’m not a sub person, but that has changed after I first tried this place a couple of months ago. I’ve tried several of their subs, and while they are all fantastic, nothing beats their Italian sub. They are also very generous with their toppings, unlike Subway, which requires their staff to put on a very small number of every topping(I know this because I worked there in high school). The subs are very filling, and the veggies are very fresh. The soft drinks are worth mentioning here because of their digital Coke machine that has over 100+ different flavors(Strawberry Sprite is awesome)! This machine is the cherry on top, and as far as I know no other restaurant chain in Columbus has one. The one minor complaint I have about this place is their bread. While it taste fine, it can get soggy really fast due to the amount of sauce they sometimes put on. Not a deal-breaker for me, but others may be completely turned off by this. If you live far away, I wouldn’t advise takeout. That being said, they are the best subs I’ve had in Columbus. My dad was a firefighter, so I’m a little biased, but they definitely blow everyone else away. Subway is just awful, Quiz-nos is too limited, and Jimmy Johns is the most overrated sub place of all time.

I love the subs. Reasonably priced and very tastey. Love this restuarants history and its business concept. With that said, if you are not familiar with this location or with Firehouse, it can be a bit overwhelming at first, even chaotic. They staff have always been helpful. This location is not exactly laid out the best and likely contributes to the chaos. You order in the center section. Get your fountain drinks off to the right. Pick up your orders off to the left of the order(they will bring to your table if dine-in). Giving three stars because of the service. It was a busy Saturday lunch hour. Two of three cashiers were staffed when there were about 8 people in line. While standing there I looked at the sub crew — EVERY one of them was leaning back along the back counter just standing there … watching everyone in line. Obviously there was a backlog with the order taking. Eventually a third person staffed the empty cash register and the team sprung into action then.

I got the New York Steamer, which has brisket, pastrami, and provolone. The meat was great, the bread was very good. All in all, a great sub. A bit small– I got the medium, and it was tiny. Next time I’ll get a large. Still, better quality than Subway at a slightly higher price. More like Jimmy John’s, though smaller subs. I’ll go back. Service was quite friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. Pretty big place for a sub shop.

Holy cow! Delicious sandwiches galore at reasonable prices! Many meats! Many hot sauces! Many exclamation points for all the things! I decided to try this place out today, not only because they’re within lunch hour driving distance, but also because my notoriously picky boyfriend came home last week raving about their pastrami, and that guy is seriously judgmental about what constitutes good pastrami. I decided to heed his advice, and got pastrami on white. Oh man, I was not disappointed! It was hot, juicy, not overly peppery, and even though I prefer it thick-sliced, it had exactly the right flavor. Also, the manager came over to our table to ask how our meals were, and I always love it when they do that, since it means that they actually care about whether or not their customers are having a good experience. It’s worth noting that they have at least 30 different hot sauces to choose from, so if you think spicy is nicey, then get yourself over to Firehouse and go hog wild. I will definitely be coming back here!
