Florence C Lenahan, MD

The office of Florence Lenahan reflects the country girl she is and country doctor she once was. The decorating scheme is cow themed with black and white curtains and a collection of ceramic cows. The operatories are cluttered with books and pictures of the many animals Dr. Lenahan has owned.
Dr. Lenahan is an older woman who carries her love of cows to her wardrobe. I have never been at this practice and not seen her wearing anything without an animal on it. She is very direct and not very chatty. This is probably because her office is one of the few that accepts caresource so her lobby is always crowded.
The office itself is open only Wednesdays and Saturdays. So scheduling can be difficult. The receptionists seem busy and overwhelmed, but they will get you in. Sometimes the amount of people can make your wait time a little long but the waiting room is stocked with magazines and easy listening.
Dr. Lenahan is no nonsense and that is what keeps me coming back. Her nurses are kind and funny and they offset her gruff manner. The practice is not very high tech but the personal contact more than makes up for it.
