Stopped in on a brief visit to Short North and left with two t-shirts, a wine rack and a matching wall sconce. FRiNGE definitely has an interesting mix of items for sale. They not only carry unique clothing for men and women, but artsy stuff that I would have to guess was made by local artists. The wine rack and sconce I bought were both made from wine barrel staves. I was drawn to the rustic uniqueness of the pieces and just had to leave with them. The only drawback I can mention is the store was dimly lit making it a bit hard to see sizes on the clothing. Sadly, I misread the label on one of the t-shirts and purchased the wrong size. I didn’t notice until I was back in Northern VA so no exchanging for me. Still a great little shop in the Short North area!

Flashback to Independents’ Day… I had my hands on this amazing«gritty Columbus» t-shirt, and then all the ATMs went down. Heartbroken, I left without my shirt. Fast forward to this week, and what did I discover while out shopping in the Short North? The same shirt in a store window! The artist/owner got a shop! The shop, Fringe, is a fantastic addition to the north end of the Short North. You can find great, local tees along with a mix of other unique clothing pieces — for both the lads and the ladies. Fringe has some great finds that you won’t see anywhere else in the city, and everything totally hits the right price point. Although I did buy an adorable«Columbus Public Schools» shirt, I still walked away without my «gritty Columbus» one. They were out of my size!
