After an hour or so of drinking at Dick’s Den, I became hungry and began to wonder aloud if I should get mediocre pizza across the street at Gumby’s. No need, said a friend — there’s a food cart outside. Say whaaat? I went out and immediately got hit on by a drunken Fusion customer, but the experience did not dissuade me from perusing their menu and talking to the husband-and-wife team that run Fusion. They’re extremely likable and happy to discuss their business, which is run entirely out of their truck. Their menu changes every day, though they try to always offer one vegetarian item, one meat item, and a dessert. This evening it was a black bean burger, some kind of Cajun thing, and crème brûlée. Even though I’m a carnivore, I was really intrigued by the black bean burger, so I threw caution(and $ 5) to the wind and ordered it. They prepared it right there in front of me and served it up in a little styrofoam box. I took it back with me into Dick’s and proceeded to devour it in mere moments. Then I seriously contemplated going back outside and ordering a second one. it was that good. I was talked out of the idea at the time, but I would happily return to Fusion any day to sample their delights and chat with the lovely owners. Bravo, Fusion!

Taste: 3 Value: 3 Service: 3 Since I was hanging out at Dick’s Den, I decided to try this place out since it was right outside. The menu looked pretty good, and apparently they’re one of the contestants for food trucks on the Food Network. According to the guy, he and his wife have been doing it for 2.5 months, and they’re probably the only truck from Columbus in the competition. 1. Key lime chicken kabobs with rice and veggies $ 7 Chicken kabobs were okay, although a little dry. Key lime was more or less just a garnish on the kabob, and the rice and veggies were okay. Overall, not as good as I hoped, but the berry sauce(mango juice with berries mixed in) was pretty good. More info here:
