Geer Gas

Ever since I bought a propane tank with a fuel meter on it, I’ve been looking for someone to refill it. I did not want to exchange it for a tank without a meter and also when you exchange your tank you really don’t know how much fuel is in the tank you’re getting.
Enter Geer gas on McKinley Avenue.
I called ahead and spoke with a friendly, professional sounding woman. I took that as a green light to go ahead and give them a try.
This company sells a wide variety of gases but if you’re looking for propane pull behind the fence up to the door with the canopy.
The place was fairly quiet and the two employees I spoke to were able to help me fairly quickly. The conversation was friendly and helpful and I got two tanks refilled immediately.
They sell the propane by the gallon here, and I got 9.2 gallons of propane into two tanks. It cost me $ 4.25 a gallon.
If you bring a partially filled tank here they will top it off and only charge you for the fuel added. Whereas if you exchange a tank elsewhere that still has some fuel left in it you will not get credit for that fuel.
I enjoyed my visit to Geer gas. I’d go back again.

On my subsequent trips here, the only issue I’ve found is their hours. 8 – 5 Monday to Friday. Doesn’t work out great for the hobbyist crowd.
Buckeye Beercraft in Westerville will do 5# tank exchanges for about the same price as a refill here, and they’re open Saturday and Sunday, so if you’re in a pinch on a weekend look there.
