Wonderful restaurant supply store. Perfect place to stock up on bulk items or find all your party needs. For food and kitchen items there is no need to get a Costco or Sams Club membership, GFS has all the same type of items for very comparable costs. The Only thing Sams/Costco has over GFS is the non-food area i.e. furniture etc. However if you’re just looking to host a great party of fill up your deep freezer, GFS is your spot.

Wanted to pick up some easy fixin’s for sides for a big family get-together. Staff is always friendly, helpful and if they don’t have something in this store they can tell you which one does have it. Not every store you go into these days will do that. Their shelves are amply stocked. Prices are generally comparable but some prices might be a bit higher, but that is the advantage of buying in larger sizes or quantities, like a Sam’s Club or Cosco. But, we can usually get in and out much faster than either of those giants allow us. We especially noticed the price of baby-back pork ribs that were fairly priced for a package of three.(What a Mother’s Day/Father’s Day cookout!). OMG!!! Especially with Montgomery Inn sauce.(Restaurant is a whole different review!) We’ve gotten to know Maggie, one of the cashiers who always draws me out of the line to her line whenever she spots me wearing one of my «Super-Hero shirts.(A lot of people at different stores, restaurants, etc. recognize me that way.) But, my favorite area of the store is the frozen fruit section. I really like getting the delicious sliced, sugared strawberries. I never seem able to eat all of the container, but they are so, so good! We picked up a couple of bags of mashed potatoes(We add butter, season to taste and warmed them through.) We also got two cans of roasted chicken gravy and ice cream cups; making things very easy. Ordering«Graduation Party Pack» of chicken(48 pieces) for the meal from Giant Eagle. We are all set to go.

It is obvious that this store has very good management as all employees are very personable. Food is in bulk designed for restaurants and large food establishments. Yet if you have a freezer or storage for foods this is a great store. We use it for our Conventions plus some home use. Prices are reasonable but in some cases food from Kroger/Giant Eagle/meijers may cost less if sales are on. Meat is ok, not the best. We have purchased boxes of tenderloin steaks and all were full of gristle and we tossed them. Almost everything is pre packaged, so buyer beware. No membership fees and that is a big plus. A good place to shop.

I saw this mentioned in another area and realized that I had never reviewed it. But sure enough when I got here I discovered that Nijole had beaten me to it. [grin] I’ve been shopping here about twenty years. I’ve usually shopped here for their condiments. You can buy sizes larger than what Krogers sells and get them at a very good price. And as Nijole said you don’t need a membership and for me it’s even closer than going to Meijers.

I always wondered what GFS was driving to Meijer’s from Easton and when I had a coupon in the entertainment book I decided to check it out. Turns out it is a wholesale like Costco or Sam’s Club but without the membership fee or hassle. If you have a big family or are planning a party, this is the place to go! In my case we are just 3 people and love going here! They have great prices on cheese and lunchmeat, fruit and veggies and those are things that can get expensive at your regular grocery store so we always go and stock up there. We loved their pans of mac n cheese and lasagne and at $ 10 for an 80 oz pan it is plenty for 2 meals or can feed 8 – 10 people. Taste wise better than Stouffers for half the price since the size is also larger! They have great deals on everything from noodles, candy bars, toilet paper, drinks and are very friendly! They have great desserts, from muffind, donuts, cakes, pies, everything your heart could desire! Last time I got a 80 oz pan of peanut butter turtle brownies also for $ 10 and they were better than most bakeries where you pay $ 3 for a small square! Or 12 oversized muffins, also $ 10, yup my kinda place! If you are in the easton area stop by and check out GFS!
