Very exciting things happening in Grandview. Not only has Grandview Avenue livened up a bit over the last year, but we’ve now got that Salon Lofts area, a new Walgreens going in on West 5th (I’m bitter about this) but we’ve also got The Yard coming in the next few years.
According to various sources, it has been officially downgraded from a full retail, housing, dining area and original plans have been all but scrapped due to the slow economy. However, they are also toying with the idea to create a rail line from the Yard to the Arena District. It is still being developed and plans to tear down the current structure are in place. I am looking forward to what this could mean for Grandview and for Columbus. The added depth will be great and can only bring more positive attention to Columbus.
