Yet another place I’m sure I’ve reviewed before… But not somewhere I want to go back to again. My experiences before have generally been: overpriced, pushy sales, mediocre selection. The only reason I stopped in this time is that I was nearby and didn’t want to run over to Best Buy. I got a TV mount at Lowe’s that ended up not fitting my TV. Returned it and shopped around. HH Gregg had the same mount– for 2 ½ times the cost! Yep, $ 40 at Lowe’s, $ 100 at HH Gregg for exactly the same thing. The one I needed was $ 120; I compared at Lowe’s later and they had it for $ 70. So, yeah. Selection on mounts was actually decent. I’ve looked for other things here and almost always just walked out disappointed; they either don’t have what I want or want some outrageous price for it. Service was less pushy this time, but not very knowledgeable. No thanks.

We purchased all Samsung products for our new kitchen approximately $ 6000. The microwave went out after 1 ½ years. A $ 500 product should have lasted longer. Samsung scheduled a maintenance call and said it was covered, the magnetron had a 10 year warranty, I took the day off and they never showed up. Samsung told me to call then, which I did and they said no appointment was on their books. They wanted to reschedule with me and told me it would be $ 86 service call and fees for labor would need to be paid up front even though magnetron was covered. Samsung never told me anything about a service fee. When I called Samsung back they said the appointment was made. I asked them to schedule me with another company. When I asked about their service fee they did not know, they said they did not know any prices. I told them customers should be told about the fee up front and the companies they use to service their products. Unfortunately I cannot purchase another stainless steel product since the colors are different. When we purchased a cheaper microwave 10 years ago, it lasted 9 years before we gave it away, still working. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.

The salesman was good. The delivery man was good. The store was horrible. They sent damaged pedestals for my new washer & dryer. Then after arguing with them about getting new ones right away(on hold and hung up on several times) we did get the floor model pedestals and they forgot to bring the hose for the washer and electric cord hook up for the dryer!!! Terrible service. Never again

I recently purchased a TV here. The purchase was somewhat of an impulse buy. I ended up at Wal-mart initially, but had problems with the staff, so I ended up at this location on Sawmill Road. This location has a ton of TVs, so I’m giving them a two-star rating for that, but the sales people were very heavy-handed and were noticeably upset by my refusal to purchase any kind of in-house warranty. I get it: you make a lot of money by selling in-house warranties but trying to force them down the throats of customers is ridiculous. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I had to refuse the warranty package close to ten times. Additionally, the sales person changed his sales price on me once he got in front of his sales manager. If you’re curious about the warranty, it goes like this: a 3-year warranty is 25% of the price of the TV. A 5-year warranty is close to being 50% of the price of a TV. TVs come with a manufacturers’ one-year warranty, but the sales staff implied that those warranties are terrible and that the TV is likely to break within the first year(seemingly saying that the TVs they sell are virtually junk and not rated for 10 years of viewing time). Anyways, after turning down the warranties several times and the sales staff changing their mind on the sales price of the TV, I was thoroughly upset. The sales manager appeared to be upset and the sales guy I dealt with appeared to be embarrassed. Why a sales staff would attempt to ram their warranty packages down someone’s thLike I said, they only reason they don’t get a single star is they really do have a huge selection of TVs on display. roat baffles me. For this reason, I will NEVER step foot into any other HH Gregg again, forever. Lastly: if you happen to go to this location, be aware that this is a «training» store. The sales people here and managers, from what I’ve been told by ex-employees, are trained to sell extended warranties to 100% of their customers… or something similar to that. Too bad I didn’t know this info before going in.

This location is strange. It seems almost empty because the store is so huge! As usual, there are tons of sales people. I really can’t see this place being busy enough on a Friday morning to need all of them!
