I have never had a bad experience. Of the several people I know only one person said it was ok, the other said it was pretty good. I am a fan of the chicken tender dinner personally. They come to the table very hot and crispy yet tender and juicy on the inside. It’s a win win in my book. Not a huge fan of appetizers unless it’s mozzarella stick of which they don’t have(they have mozzarella triangle things which weren’t great in my opinion, bland really) the potato spuds are a favorite when my family goes there. Friendly service too.

Found not 1 but multiple hairs in my salad dressing. Took about 15 minutes to get a waiters attention. Would’ve just been bad but the hair made it a horrendous experience.

Terrible. Went to watch the Colts game. Sat for twenty minutes without even being asked a drink order. Garbage staff spends the majority of their shift smoking in the alley.

Visited a week ago. All was good. Food was tasty. Beer cold. Service was prompt. Nice outdoor seating. Owner came over to our table and asked for an honest opinion. What more can you ask for!

Yuck! I gave this place a try, even though it got a three on Unilocal.I mean how bad can Irish Pub be. Most of the reviews where about bad service. I got seated right away and my server was right on time. I ordered an Angry Orchard Apple cider, the Reuben appetizer and a Reuben sandwich and fries. My pet peeve with any restaurant is when the appetizer comes out at the same time as the entrée. My server brought my entrée and appetizer at the same time. The Reuben appetizer looked good until I bit into them. They were really runny mashed potatoes with corned beef and cabbage dropped into a deep fat fryer. The Reuben sandwich was was cold and wet. The entire meal was $ 26.03 for just one person. Best part was leaving.

Sat outside — beautiful evening — just shared some appetizers which were all good. Nice beer selection and priced ok. Nice crowd for a Thursday evening we kind of shared servers as there were a couple of larger groups inside. I think they have been opened for about one year and with all the food/bar competition so near by I expect all will continue to get better. Will come back on next visit next month

Terrible service on two separate occasions. The current hostess is absolutely worthless, agree with another reviewer about nonexistent waitstaff. First experience with hostess… Walked in, asked to sit in the bar area. Hostess stares at me blankly like I am speaking Swahili. Explain again that I would like a table inside in the bar area. There was one other party inside the ENTIRE restaurant and she sat us at a table directly behind the other party. We moved to a table in the same section of the restaurant across the aisle but slightly farther diagonally from the only other party in the bar. Hosted came over to inform us we had jumped sections and could not sit in that area. After a long day of work and her inability to understand English or logic we left. Second experience was another dinner this Thursday. Walked into restaurant(disappointed immediately by the fact that the worthless hostess was still employed and on shift). Immediately sat down at a table and proceeded to wait more than 15 minutes. Tried to hail some one to get the manager to no avail. Left without having ever spoken to a waitress. Do not go to this place. Columbus is a small town but there are places that don’t suck this bad. Hopefully they’ll go out of business soon and be replaced by someone who knows how to run a restaurant and cares even the least bit about customer service. The only bad thing is the incompetent hostess and waitstaff could possibly infect other establishments instead of being concentrated at Jordy’s. Food is not Irish and nothing to write home about. Frozen Americana from another poor excuse for a theme restaurant.

One of the worst places I’ve ever been. Service was HORRIBLE! We waited twenty minutes until someone finally came and took our orders. Food was dry too. Definitely not going back.

I went in to eat at an odd time(a few moments ago) because I had just finished with a mediation at a local attorney’s office. Walked in, staff was there, but sparse. No one stopped talking to each other to assist me until I turned to leave, even though they knew I was there. Then, one server or bartender half-heartedly asked if he could help me. I left. Too bad; I was super hungry and I’m a great tipper. Went next door. I did look at the menu. Some things looked good, but I have not tried them.

Went to see a friends band last night. Waitstaff was nonexistent, the hostess stomped around with a scowl and the bar staff only seemed to care that friends of theirs got service. I’d heard bad things about the service here but I saw it first hand last night. This is a prime spot for a restaurant. Why can’t we get a good one?

Third time wasn’t a charm… After 2 unsuccessful attempts of decent food and acceptable service last night was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Supposed to meet another couple there at 7:45 on a Friday Night, surprisingly light crowd, asked for a bar top with view of the Pacer game. Our waiter along with several other employees walked past my wife and I for 10 minutes without even saying HI. After texting my buddy that we were leaving and to meet us at 4th Street instead we shared with the hostess stand why we were leaving, received an apology and left. After eating elsewhere we decided to give it another shot for after dinner drinks, same waiter approached the table and apologized for earlier, we were understanding and I’m extremely easy going but don’t like to wait for a drink. After ordering 3 beers and a rum for the table, the manager approached and said he recognized us from earlier and offered to buy our first round. Obviously I was overjoyed and appreciative. Upon finishing that round, we AGAIN were ignored, waiter never stopped again, manager never returned so we bailed again. Won’t be back!

The food was average; it was all extremely well priced. There was nothing memorable about the food. I ordered the buffalo dip as an appetizer and they were kind enough to bring more chips when our table ran out. The fried with my meal were eerily similar to Steak and Shake fries. If I had to eat here again, I would be fine with it but I don’t think I would ever suggest this place on my own. We came here during the day so the evening atmosphere could potentially be fun.

Awesome veggie burger and kids meal. The fries were great and our waitress was on top of it. They had a live band — Roger Banister — bluegrass music and they were awesome!!!

I just had a great lunch at Jordy McTaggerts. I had the lunch combo for 7.99 which included a half sandwich, soup and drink. I had the Reuben sandwich and the potato soup. The food was good, and our server Sally did a great job. We were in and out in 45 minutes.

Buddy is amaze-balls, and the chips w/horseradish dip is pretty good. If you order the nacho app, get the horseradish dip on it as well!

Shame on you!!! You are almost a donut county for the Indianapolis Colts & after asking over 4x and after the game is into the last 10 minutes of the first quarter of the first game, we drop a 20 to pay our 2 drink bar tab & you wonder why we’re upset!!! Come on!!! Pull your heads out of your ass & get with the program! If the Colta are on, patrons expect to see them on almost all of the tvs at kick off!!! We won’t be back!!!

Jordy McTaggart’s is located in a prime spot in the very walkable, historic downtown of Columbus Indiana. There is plentiful outdoor seating when the weather is good, which is one of the pleasures of eating downtown. The bar is a key part of the appeal of this place, which is a good thing because the food isn’t all that appealing. I wait to eat at a restaurant a few times before giving any restaurant a lackluster review, particularly if it has just opened. My husband and I ate here within the first week of opening, and then again after some time had passed and they had found their footing. Neither visit was inspiring. The food is an odd mashup of American and Irish fusion, and it just doesn’t work. This is one of those restaurants that you regret eating at while you’re still at the table. The Irish Egg Roll appetizer was not particularly crunchy, and the corned beef and cabbage just didn’t work in an egg roll format. It is a culinary gamble that doesn’t pay off, and is best avoided. The Fish and Chips was decent, but not outstanding. The hamburger was juicy and prepared well, but it wasn’t outstanding. Even so, it is probably one of the best things on the menu. If you enjoy drinking, this is a great place to hang out and enjoy downtown Columbus. But if you’re hungry, I suggest going someplace else. There aren’t a lot of other choices in Columbus, but if this place survives it will be because of its bar and not because of its food.

The only good thing about this facility is Buddy(a bartender who actually knows his bourbon and beer.) My night: Ordered calamari.(More like frozen fish sticks bought at the local Kroger and microwaved real poorly.) Had a burger. A basic burger. How do you manage to mess up a plain burger?(Only a patty and bun was required.) And my fiancés salad.(She had 1 bite, then stopped eating.) I then resorted to just beer tasting.

A font does not a restaurant make. Their menu is a conundrum, wrapped in an enigma, coated in bad judgment, spray painted with disgust, served with a side of disappointment. For the love of all that is holy: serving a spot-on, legit(not yuppie-fied) bangers and mash is not a good thing, cuisine-wise, unless one finds oneself missing government food subsidies, circa 1982(a great year for canned stewed tomatoes, or so I’m told). Shepherd’s pie is sadder than what my public elementary school made from leftover lunches at the end of the week, served in the big rectangle on each metal food tray — really. There is no legitimate«It’s **F-U-S-I-O-N!**»(SMH) excuse for even putting something called an «Irish Eggroll» on a menu. Ever. Let alone the mushy product that was served(frozen or just old, dunno. Either way — foul.). Then there’s the calamari. Egads. Fried pencil erasers, anyone? A(very sheltered, shall we say) new business contact ordered both(and wanted to try this nightmare in the first place), or I would have vetoed(altogether), a-priori. This place makes me dream fondly(well, maybe«without grimacing» is a more accurate description, bluntly) of Scotty’s ORGANIC burgers(and by «ORGANIC» they meant«tastes like poo.» and their twee, mediocre staff, menu, and concept… hmmmm, could it be that this is a trend for this location?). Anyway — won’t be back. Food was terrible, even judging by Applebee’s after dark standards. Price is «spendy» given that food is fairly inedible.

Enjoyed our dinner last night. I had the fish and chips. While the chips were not the proper style they were satisfactory and the fish was excellent. My wife had the Rubin and chips, and she really enjoyed it. I sampled her chips and I would definitely get them next time. Our server Jake did a very good job, and our chat with the manager Jordan was great. We love the décor and we will definitely return with our friends to sample other items from the menu. I will add photos next time. :~}
