I believe this location is now closed. I saw a Tim hortons coming soon sign hung in the window

The chicken was ok. They were out of most sides. I was told the owners sold. The location to be a Tim Horton. Last week for restaurant.

For a gas station chicken joint it’s not to bad! Always nice workers. I have never had a bad experience here. Honestly each time I go it keeps getting better. Not really sure how that is, but it has. Great breading on the chicken. Has a little kick but it is great!

I’ve been here twice now, and it definitely seems like a place that people probably overlook due to its proximity to a gas station. But I’d definitely recommend giving them a try. I’ve gotten dark meat chicken both times, and it’s always been quite crispy, as advertised, and pretty tasty. Also, their biscuits are delicious. And while the fries aren’t necessarily that special, they go well with the dipping sauce, and you get plenty of them in your order. I eventually want to try the fish because I’m a sucker for good fried fish. Perhaps I’ll get to that on the next visit…

I went there at 5:00 pm on a Wednesday, wanting to order chicken wings. Was told it would be 10 minutes so decided to get chicken pieces instead. They were absolutely terrible! Dry meat, rubbery skin and could not detect any Cajun spices. If you want Cajun style chicken, find a Popeye’s. This place was such a disappointment. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised cause when I walked in, the person working the counter was sitting on the floor texting. They definitely will not be getting repeat business from me!

A friend of mine randomly ordered this for delivery and it is most definitely the best fried chicken I’ve had in Columbus so far. And those honey butter biscuits are nothing to be messed with. Nom nom nom

I came through the drive thru on a whim when I was on the way home. Later, I was actually surprised to see this many reviews on Unilocal since the place is unassuming being that it’s connected to a gas station. I really have no big complaints here other than the odd location. I got the cajun tenders which was fresh and«Krispy» but perhaps a tad bit salty. The sauce is comparable to Raising Cane’s but spicier. But the highlight of my meal was the honey butter biscuit. It’s super fluffy with a hard shell on the top from the honey glaze. I would happily come back just for another biscuit and this is coming from someone who usually ears half her biscuit at the most then forgets about it.

Order Red Beans & Rice. Just don’t be upset when Sir Mix A Lot is in your head while you eat. Amazing place!

Heard about this place on NPR during their food segment. Then a friend mentioned it so I took that as a sign. In the midst of hangover I decided to make the journey to North Columbus. Not bad taking 71 and it’s right off the exit. Blink and you’ll miss it. It’s in a small gas station complex with a Subway. First impressions: CLEAN! Professional, friendly people. I think the one gentleman was the owner and you could tell he took pride in his place. I ordered 12 chicken tenders thinking they’d be small. They weren’t. I WAY over ordered and ate on it all day. Very juicy and flavorful. I wish they took the cajun up a notch but really good still. Then I had the Boudin Bites. I still have no real idea what they are but I do know they are fried deliciousness. The sauces were good for the chicken and the red beans and rice was nice. I would have to do a side by side comparison to the other chicken places to really say if it is superior but I know I enjoyed it.

When I first heard of this place it sounded like a little local chicken shack, shoehorned into a gas station. Well, it is clearly a chain– the items and décor are too regular and polished. But it’s darn good chicken. Easy access off the highway, cramped parking, drive-through. Right on the end of the Sunoco station. Small seating area, but I went at an off time and it was pretty empty. Service was fantastic, start to finish: friendly, helpful, prompt. I overordered, wanting to try a bit of everything: 4 tender combo with a biscuit and red beans and rice, a thigh since that was the daily special, and a boudin ball. Just the combo would have been plenty– the tenders are big, crispy on the outside, tender, juicy. I was disappointed in the sauces– I got Cajun sweet bbq and New Orleans ranch. Both were okay, but not spicy or really flavorful at all. The biscuit was light and sweet and I could have eaten a dozen– they’re small. The red beans and rice were pretty average. The boudin ball is big– bigger than it looked in the picture. It’s kinda like a crab cake made of sausage and rice– crispy on the outside, soft inside. Not much sausage flavor. The thigh was good– a bit overcooked, but tasty and moist. The chicken is better than KFC, close to Popeye’s, not quite as good as Lee’s. But for fast food chicken, handy to 71, it is worth stopping in. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Y’all remember Sisters Chicken and Biscuits? Well, KKC brought those memories back for me. KKC is part of the Sunoco gas station at the corner of Silver Drive and East North Broadway, on the western corner of the building, so look sharp. That is some crispy, crunchy chicken, right there. Standard sides are on offer: potato wedges, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and gravy. They also have some Dixie-style items, like fried okra, red beans and rice, jambalaya, too. And honey butter biscuits. We got an 8-piece bucket, mashed potatoes and gravy, cole slaw, and biscuits. «A less-greasy KFC,» is how the spouse described it. The chicken was as advertised, and the meat itself was tender and juicy. The potatoes and gravy were exactly what you want/need/expect from a chicken joint, and the cole slaw was a balance of creamy and vinegary. The biscuits were definitely not fresh — dry, crumbly and stale tasting. Not that we were missing starch in this meal. I hear they have breakfast — I might drive by, just to check. Chicken biscuits are one of life’s little breakfast pleasures, along with crispy, crunchy fried chicken about anytime.

Surprisingly very much enjoy this place. The drive thru staff is always super friendly. I usually get the typical fried chicken mix but switched it up and got the Cajun chicken tenders which were pretty fantastic. They are clearly fresh tenders that come with a made in house Cajun sauce which is definitely mayo based and delicious. If you are looking to head to a fast food joint and want satisfaction, check out Krispy Krunchy Chicken.

Stopped by for lunch and really wanted to dine in, but unfortunately there were no daggum parking spots available so I had to settle for the drive-thru. It shares a parking lot with an adjoining Subway and Sunoco, so there’s not much room on even a remotely busy day. I opted for the 3 piece dark meal(2 thighs, 1 leg, biscuit) with jambalaya as my side. The jambalaya was peppery with a fairly generous amount of sausage and chicken throughout. The flavors were pretty ordinary, maybe even a little bland if you didn’t get a piece of sausage in the bite. As for the chicken, it was fresh and juicy. It was a darker fried chicken than I recall from other’s online pictures. Maybe the oil was a little old? There was a good amount of flavor, but I probably give the edge to Popeye’s chicken. What they really have nailed are their honey glazed biscuits.

I’ve stopped by several times so far and have always had great service while there. Everyone, no exception, has been friendly and enthusiastic to be there. The first time was not long after opening and I picked up a 8-pieces of chicken and a large order of fries to bring home. I was pleasantly surprised because«fries» is what they call their potato wedges. They were piping hot and tasted like real potato. The chicken tasted slightly burnt. I don’t know if it the oil needed changed or if the chicken had just reached the overcooked stage when it was removed from the fryer. I was really impressed when two days later the chicken was still crispy. Most fried chicken gets soggy after being in the fridge for a few days. The second time I brought my parents so they could try it. After spending time with cousins in Louisiana they feel like they are southern chicken experts. :) My dad said the spice was good but he thought the chicken was cooked so long the meat was dry. My mother liked the jambalaya. My chicken that day was good and the potato wedges were also good. On my most recent visit I picked up some chicken and potato wedges. The chicken had the great crispy skin and good flavor but the breast was super dry. The potato wedges were shriveled and hard like they’d been sitting around under the heat lamp for a long time. I think this will the chicken place I go to when I just don’t want to leave the neighborhood and Mya’s isn’t open.

Honestly had I not found this place on Unilocal and just happened to see it next to a gas station I probably wouldnt go, BUT I’m glad I saw it on Unilocal first. This place is small and pretty basic but I really enjoyed my meal. Its similar to popeyes. I thought the chicken was great and the food was really inexpensive. You get a choice of white or dark meat. You can order a side. I of course had the mac and cheese. The mac did taste like it was out of a box but I still liked it. And those honey butter biscuits are delicious. They also offer sauces for 49 cents each. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They are so southern that I didnt even feel like I was in Ohio lol. Skip on the brownie, it isnt good.

Stopped by this little place for dinner last night, and if you didn’t know any better, you’d probably pass on it being that it’s connected to a gas station and a Subway. It reminded me of the Popeyes you see at big gas station service centers. The chicken was pretty great, definitely better than Popeyes and KFC in my opinion. I had the tenders and they were very juicy, and the special Cajun sauce that they make is reaalllly good. It reminded me a bit of Cane’s sauce. The biscuit that came with the meal was the best part. I could eat those all day. I got their chicken bites as a side, and you should probably pass on these. I’m not exactly sure what they were going for here, but it’s a fried rice ball that maybe had some chopped up chicken in it, but I couldn’t taste it. I also tried the sweet and sour wings, and that sauce was pretty good as well, and usually wings at places like these aren’t cooked very well, so I was pleasantly surprised when I actually tried them. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely check the place out, because they do serve some decent chicken, but I can’t say it’s worth going out of the way for.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken just opened up a few weeks ago, so do yourself a favor a give them a try; you won’t regret it. It’s a new addition to a gas station complex, built next to the Subway that was already there. When I walked in, the place was very clean and smelled like fried chicken and spices. Good sign. The chicken and sides are presented, so you know what you’re going to get. They also have fried catfish, but you can’t do a combo with both unless you order them separately, which is unfortunate. The menu is cluttered and a bit confusing at first glance, but the food makes up for that. The chicken lives up to its name: crispy and crunchy. Also delicious, they forgot to mention that. The catfish is very good as well, and worth ordering. The real winner are the biscuits. I’m pretty sure these are the best biscuits I’ve had anywhere, so order some extra! The parking lot is oddly shaped, so it can be weird trying to get out if you drive. If you live nearby, it’s worth walking. All in all, this place is worth going a little out of your way to get to, but it’s not a mandatory stop if you’re visiting the city.

I was extremely excited when I heard there was a new Chicken spot in town. I went in with no expectations because I have been let down before by other new chicken establishments(Just Wing It and Buckeye Chicken) but I have to say this place is great! They remind me of KFC but better. Very clean on the inside and the customer service was fast and friendly. I ordered a 3pc Mix Combo, the prices are average. The chicken holds true to the name it is Krispy, Krunchy and very Juicy! I got an order of wedges with my meal as well. But my favorite part about the whole meal was the biscuit. They have by far the best biscuits I have ever tasted. The biscuit was so good after I left I pulled back up and ordered 3 more, they are excellent! They are also open until 11pm which is awesome! I am so happy I decided to come here tonight! Chicken 1−5=4. Wedges 1−5=4. Biscuits 1−5=5!!!

This is a tasty little secret tucked into a corner next to a gas station and Subway right off 71 and North Broadway. I ordered catfish and red beans and rice and it was delicious. The biscuits are amazing. My dining partner got the 4 piece chicken and fries and reported that it was delicious also. I hope this place can last in this location. It’s nice to see a new spot in this area that isn’t something ultra trendy.

This restaurant just opened Tuesday. They sell cajun style chicken, chicken tenders, buffalo wings, and fish, and shrimp. And jambalya, and biscuits. The jambalya didn’t look all that great so I passed on that. The chicken was really good. And thanks to Dennis for the lead!
