I’ve shopped here for 15 years and the quality of the store in the last 5 years had really gone downhill. They can’t keep good people and the people they do keep you wish would leave. They go through managers just as fast. They are constantly out of stock of many items, the deli closes whenever they feel like it and the employees are always to busy to help you with anything. I could go on but I think my point is made. Do yourself a favor and driver the extra mile or two to Meijer or Giant Eagle.

Updating my last review, they are working on redoing the store. They have an organic bulk section now(yay). However, I do have to bump them down a few stars because my friend who is a marine came into town for Memorial Day Weekend and we bought him a cake and they spelled his name completely wrong! Not even an understandable mistake… we spelled out TREVOR for them and they still spelled it TERVOR. I don’t know any Tervors. You would’ve thought the baker would take two seconds and think… wait that’s probably not right. But alas…

I live right behind a Krogers, and I’m happy that this particular location is close to work. I like shopping at Kroger because of their low prices, and their sales are easy to identify. I am not as used to this location as I am to the one close to my home though. The way the store is set up is slightly different, making it a bit difficult to find what I need. Also, there’s hardly every any staff around to help if you have questions.

It’s a smaller Kroger, but they do have a friendly staff working here. I never had an issue asking for help all staff including managers are willing to help out.

Cough, cough, cough, sniff, sniff, gag, cough… Anyway — Now that I cleared the smell of this location out of my system, let me start this review off by saying that we normally love Kroger. Kroger as a whole should not be judged by the existence of this store. We go to Kroger every single week and we normally love it. The store that we go to weekly is the Polaris location and I would give that store a 5, it’s clean, has friendly staff, and all the products are fully stocked. The fact that a store can go so terribly down the drain-pipe like this one is something corporate should take a look into, especially since there are many, many outstanding Kroger’s. Now for the actual review ~ My wife and I decided to kill two birds with one stone and hit this Kroger on the way home from a workout in Westerville. We stumbled upon this dimly light, warehouse resembling, overworked sweatshop smelling, copper pipe theft victimized, poor excuse for a grocery store named Kroger. As I said, the first thing we noticed was the low lighting and the smell. It sort of reminds me of walking into a new person’s home, you know that smell that you’ll just never get use to but those that live there just accept? It was like that mixed with cat food. We almost walked out as soon as we started, but instead decided to trudge onward. As we walked past the wilted fruit and veggies display we saw an empty fridge/freezer display. However, this display wasn’t just empty — it was torn apart. The cooling system and copper piping was ripped out and showing. It had a terrible smell coming from it and nothing shielding it from the public. You just walk by and get to look at a torn up cooling unit with a lovely carnival like smell whilst picking out your protein bars. Next we decided to head to the deli section to pick out our weekly meats and cheeses. Upon being helped by the worker we started taking in the whole scene. The first thing to note was the cloudy glass making it nearly impossible to view the meats or cheeses you wanted to pick out. Next, all of the salads/lasagna/hot-food looked poorly prepared. We then noted the 2 construction workers walking around with no hair covering, gloves, masks, or anything to shield all the dirt and dust they had on them from the open meats and cheeses. Finally, we tried to order Mozzarella, pretty standard cheese right? Wrong. They did not carry Boar’s Head or Private Selection Mozzarella to have freshly sliced only pre-packaged in the cooler. We grabbed a little American cheese and then decided that was enough from this section. As we continued through the store we discovered more and more possible health-code violations, and the overall dress/demeanor of the staff was very unpleasant. After being unable to find our standard Gatorade/Jugs of water selections and the couple more completely empty freezer displays, we decided to just check-out with our few boxed items. We also decided that this store was not where we wanted to buy our fresh meats due to the construction workers hanging around, so we drove over to the Polaris location and completed our shop there. It was worth the extra drive to just get out of this place… We will NOT be back to this one and highly suggest upper-management take a thorough look into the general management of this location.

Employees are good for the most part but the managers at this location are horrible and have no concern for customer satisfaction. Janet in particular would rather talk through her«minions» than show an ounce of leadership and talk to you herself while standing 10 feet from you. I live very close to this location but I shop at 2 other Kroger stores.

I get all my prescriptions filled here. They are fast, friendly and match competitors prices. They also have a walkup window if you are into that sort of thing but I usually just pick up my groceries and hit up the pharmacy. I’d recommend Krogers for the prices they have as well as for their speed of service over most other pharmacies.
