One of my favorite music venues. I’ve seen shows at both the outdoor stage and the indoor. It’s very large, and there’s great views all around. Beers aren’t too expensive, $ 11 for a 32 oz Blue Moon or $ 9 for a Bud. Not bad compared to some other music venues. It’s really convenient too that they have the ability to move shows indoor or outdoors. Last show I saw there was m83 and they killed it

Awesome concert venue. Shows go on whether it is rain or shine. they have grass area, area close to stage and also food/drink vendors. Quite honestly do not think there is a bad place to watch a show as stage is visible everywhere. excellent sound and stage props. I saw ellie goulding concert here and was possibly the greatest concert i have attended. Parking available in surrounding areas, i purchased ticket for parking at mcconnel garage for $ 6. You can download the ticketmaster application on your phone and access your concert ticket on phone instead of having to print off ticket or wait for it in mail. The name of venue has changed million of times but still an amazing spot!

Fun event/concert hall. A lot of space for event features like food stations. I’ve been to several events here including Beer Fest! Fun fun fun.

If you go to shows where you want to sit down, stay home and be lame. This place is great. I felt free to run around and enjoy myself, even at my age. Who sits at a show anyway? Security has never been an issue for me here, indoors or out. Maybe these other people go to horrid shows full of assholes? Of course the beers are expensive… IT’S A CONCERT! I’ve paid waaay more. I feel like the other reviews are from that one girl in the group that cries and complains about everything.

This is the worst(indoor/winter) venue I’ve ever attended. There is absolutely no security inside. If there was a fire, everyone would die. The pit has one way in & one way out & no security went down there all night. There is no place to sit, by design & everyone shoves forward when the artist is on stage. The talking was so loud the artist actually said something about it… and the acoustics are terrible. Kacey Musgraves is a class act & a fabulous performer … this venue is an embarrassment.

The security sucks here. My girlfriend was bothered by a guy and I stepped up and she walked out in distress to answer a phone call and they wouldn’t let her back in and then said I said this and that and I couldn’t go back in. Such a joke pavilion and they need to better their security. The«manager» who is blonde and short haired female didn’t even try to listen but kicked me out too while the guy was okay to stay. I’d stay away from this place if you want your family safe.

I have been to many shows here and it is my favorite venue! The outdoor venue is my favorite part with great view anywhere you stand or sit down. The lawn is real chill and you can lay or sit and enjoy some great music. The sound is always clear and is such a great setup! The inside is great too with graat pit area. Only problem is the balcony isnt as good or clear as the newport music halls is, but this venue is a simular setup just bigger and has some bigger name artist play. The staff is amazing always making sure everyone is safe. Gotta love promowest productions!

Very cool venue. Not a bad view in the house… or field. Drove up from Cleveland and was blown away with how cool the place was being in the city. Parking was so easy, not a far walk, and only 5 bones. Side note: Don’t bring an umbrella! You aren’t aloud to have it even in your purse or carrying it.

This 2 star review is based purely on the experience we had Monday night 8÷10÷15. Should we talk about sight lines, sound, condition of the grass, concessions, getting in and out, or parking around property? Those things are all pretty good for a big city downtown venue. Really good actually, so why not switch it up to 3 or 4 stars? What we need to discuss is that the venue sees fit to have a portable toilet zone in the upper level corner of the venue. That they also save a little bit of money not changing them out after a weekend of hard usage. So we were able to experience the smell of the nearly overflowing urine a pretty good distance into the grass and throughout the otherwise pleasant evening. Change the toilets more often or contract a company you can rely on to show up for the work. Better yet, since you’ve been around a while, why not run some plumbing up there and give us some real facilities. It made an otherwise great venue an unnecessarily smelly mess.

I really like this venue, especially the indoor part, since you can look down at the stage from a high balcony. I think the inside looks pretty cool, and the drink vendors along the walls as well as the merchandise tables are setup conveniently. As far as the outside goes, it’s not my favorite. I still miss the days of Germain Amphitheater that had a march bigger grass area and lower stands. I guess Columbus just doesn’t get big enough shows anymore to warrant filling up a space that big night after night. Well, they have the Horseshoe now. Any who, the lines for concessions outside can get really long, so it’s better to just go back up to A&R Bar to grab a drink and take back down rather than to wait. The one thing I do like about the setup of the LC is that there’s actually a pit closer to the stage making it easier to stand up and move around compared to the old Germain venue where it was fill of seating. The LC usually gets most of the more well known acts in Columbus, and their Summer series has been great this year. They pull some great artists all year round even though many tend to flock to Cleveland and Cincy instead. I don’t think Columbus will get many more outdoor venues, exclusively for concerts any time soon, but the LC is great to have down in the heart of the Arena district.

Went to The Avett Brothers concert and what a awesome outside venue! There was a pit or you could sit on the lawn. We were on the lawn, but really not a bad seat in the place! Was worried with how it would sound being an outside concert, but the sound was perfect! First time going to the LC, but will be heading back if they get any more bands I like! Great experience all around!

This review is for the indoor part af this venue. I saw NXT Live this past saturday. The place was great for a wrestling event even though the set up was a little different than what you would see on TV. The show was absolutely amazing. My only concern would be that I paid only $ 20 for a «standing room only» ticket. First of all, there were seats in this area. I just feel sorry for the folks who paid for the floor seats. They couldnt see very well and I couldnt have had a better seat. Good for me, bad for them. If you have a chance to go see NXT do it. If you have a chance to see a show at the LC Pavillion, do that too.

I wish this place was in Cincinnati! I’ve seen been here for a few concerts now. It is smaller than most outdoor venues I have been to. A fun way to see a show with lawn seats!

Worst concert experience EVER! Numerous 21 yr olds with SECURITY on their shirts walking around with ego’s as big as MOUNTAINS. Frisked search at door, harassed by «so called security» all night! Definitely a mood buster! Drinks are OUTRAGEOUS! Don’t go, to LC Pavilion… stay home & save your money!

For what’s left for venues in Cbus, I’ll have to take what I can get. This place isn’t so bad, it’s quite nice, or can be, depending on the event and the crowd it attracts. It always usually clean, however it tends to be on the smaller side sometimes for the bigger or popular acts that play here. Prices seem fair, drink sizes are larger than they used to be years ago, so you get more for your money, just a little. Inside or outside, it’s nice to have options. I’ve been to a few concerts here in some downpours, it was still fun!

This review is for the indoor Arena. It sucks. It is ungodly hot and over-crowded. Sound is marginal. Views suck. And OMG $ 11 for a beer and $ 8 for well drinks? They want me to pay to be tortured? Yes the concert was great, but the venue took away from the experience. I highly doubt I will ever return even if the act was the second-coming of Hendrix.

Outdoors at the LC is probably my favorite venue in Columbus for seeing a show. It’s the perfect size to feel both big and intimate and I have never had a bad seat while in the general admission/lawn area. It’s nice that the grass is sloped and doesn’t extend much wider than the stage, ensuring even the left and right sides of the lawn have a good line of sight. Indoors isn’t nearly as fun, it’s more difficult to see and can start to feel a bit overcrowded. I do like that they have a bar on both levels, makes grabbing a drink a tiny bit easier. LC Indoors would probably warrant 3 stars on its own. The LC is in a great part of Columbus, very close to a lot of restaurants and bars for before or after the show. I really love that A&R Bar is right next door(kind of connected to) the venue for before the show. I don’t think I’d ever visit this bar unless I was seeing a show next door, but it’s great for snagging a slightly cheaper drink before heading into the venue. A&R is also great for easy access into the concert area, no need to wait in a super long line by the main entrance, right? There’s a kiosk out front and I highly recommend stopping by anytime to purchase tickets that way. There’s still a fee, but it’s MUCH smaller than Stick-it-master’s. $ 4 per ticket and it’s printed for you on the spot. If there’s a baseball game going on next door at Huntington Park, you may get lucky and get to see their fireworks during a show. It has made for some pretty awesome concert finales!

I’ve avoided the LC for a while mostly because I really enjoy having a seat and a bit of personal space when I go to concerts. I have never really seen the appeal of being crammed in with hundreds of strangers and having beer spilt everywhere, probably because being 5′ 1″ means getting pushed around quite a bit in any sort of crowd. But when I heard Of Monsters and Men was playing at the LC, I figured since they’re from Iceland and might not make it back to Columbus for a while, I might as well give the LC a chance. Parking in the nearby garages and lots is usually reasonable — between $ 5 – 10, or if you don’t mind a bit of a walk, you can do what I did and park for free on Neil just north of Goodale(near or just south of the Giant Eagle). The lines to enter stretched both up and down Neil. I was there about half an hour before the gates opened, and there was still plenty of space in the pit and on the lawn. When shows sell out, they are pretty much counting on everyone standing for the main act, because the lawn gets pretty packed when folks are sitting before the show and during the opening acts. I remember reading that full capacity for this set-up is a little over four thousand people. I ended up near the back of the lawn area, hoping that would give me enough height to see over the crowd, but next time I would stand at the railing near the front of the lawn area. The sound was just OK. Usually I need ear protection at big festival style concerts, but not here — I’m not sure if the volume was too low, or if the crowd was just noisy; either way, it was a little too quiet. I’m not a huge fan of the smoking that is allowed when the shows are outdoors, but there was enough of a breeze to dissipate the smoke and also keep the temperatures low until the sun set. I’ll likely be back later this summer and will update after my next concert experience! Update(6÷16÷13): I saw the National with Local Natives and Mount Moriah here on Saturday. This time I ended up standing at the front rail of the lawn area, just opposite the VIP seating area entry. Though I didn’t have anyone standing directly in front of me, the constant traffic of people walking to get beer, use the restrooms, take photos, and generally mill about was really distracting from the performance. I think next time I might go along the front rails further towards the sides of the venue in the hopes that there’d be less traffic. I still thought the volume was a little low, especially since these were louder bands than I’d seen previously. Also, towards the end of the concert as it was nearing eleven PM, the headlining band was forced to cut their set short because of noise regulations in regards to nearby condos. This resulted in the concert being about 20 minutes shorter than other shows on the tour. I’m a little disappointed at the lack of foresight in the placement of the venue amidst residential zones, especially with the design of the outdoor amphitheater to be used primarily during summer evenings when the nights are long and warm. I suppose this could be remedied by earlier scheduling, but considering the time needed for opening acts, set changes, and concertgoers who actually have day jobs, I can’t see how making the doors any earlier than 6:30PM would be feasible.
