M I A Hookah Cafe

A fantastic place to go to late night. I really liked the atmosphere and the music. If you are in town definitely go he hookah is smooth and fair priced. Good for groups and solo.

For the price, its not worth coming in. Hookah tastes great. But owner is rude. And the music is outdated. Bathrooms are dirty. And the tables aren’t clean.

This place is great! I’ve been a couple times and enjoyed it more each time. The staff is amazin! There were lots of hookah flavors to choose from. I think we had a tropical blend this time. Comfy couches and great music. My fav hookah lounge in Columbus!

I’m probably just spoiled with the hookah lounge where I’m from in Cincinnati. The hookah seemed VERY overpriced. A Starbuzz hookah with ice was $ 28!!! Also, their check in offer is only if you have a student ID. The atmosphere was nice and the hookah tasted good. However, we had to go looking for someone to get new coals. It wasn’t an awful experience, but I’m still on the hunt for «my» spot.

They have great employees and amazing set ! gotta come here again! Love the music too!!!

The owner has reached out to me and there actually is parking. He has offered to try to rectify the issue as he was it of town during my visit. I know this update is about a year late– but I will be returning soon to see what it is like when the owner is there!

I have been in the states for a while never tasted a better hookah taste like Mia’s. The double apple taste reminds me of the taste back home. And you can’t go wrong with the Moroccan mint tea at a Moroccan owned lounge! We also have tried the avocado smoothie and it was amazing!

Guys. The folks here are so nice and so attentive. Hummus is bangin’. Hookah is delicious. Couches are comfortable. Music is good but not too loud. Soccer flags are up. This place is my jam.

If you’ve read Justin J’s review then you’ve got a good grasp of what MIA is like. I’m a member of the group he mentioned & I agree with his assessment. The café also has food which can be overpriced for what you get. They have free WiFi & the lounge had places to plug in your phone or tablet which makes long visits nice. The staff will not pressure you to buy more than you are comfortable. The frequent buyer card is another nice feature, for every 10 hookah you purchase you get one free. The back patio can be a nice reasonably quiet place to smoke & chill.
Overall, MIA is a great place to smoke. They have a few flavors that aren’t on the menu so be sure to ask about the house flavors.

Best hookah joint in Columbus. The staff is so friendly and it is never too crowded. They’ve got pretty good coffee/​drinks and food that looks (never actually tried it) amazing. The music isn’t bad and they’ve got more flavors than most places.
Pro tip: There’s an abandoned gas station across the street where you can park, and it’s always empty. Don’t mess around looking for a spot on the street.

Alright, I love this place. I’ve been to quite a few of the hookah lounges in the city, and this is by far my favorite.
The staff here are very nice people, they have always taken great care of us, whether there are only two or three of us meeting here, or when our groups are over 20 people. There are often only a few people working, so things can seem to run a bit slow, but hey, that’s how it is. Its not fast food after all.
The shisha is decent, most of it is Starbuzz, and while I have other favorites now Starbuzz is still good stuff.
The prices here are pretty good, comparable to what I see around town, and if you show up before 8m you get $ 2 off your hookah. So that’s always good!
They also have some great tea here, the chai is wonderful. Again, it can take a bit before they get it brewed and to you, but it’s worth it.
The music can be a bit grating, some of the over played top 40 crap you hear around, but they also bring in DJs on some nights, and do other fun events, belly dancing shows and the like.
Over all I enjoy it here a lot. Good cost, good shisha, great service.

Oh! I almost forgot, parking, the lot across the street, it looks like it was once a Mobile phone store or something. That’s their parking area now. Since the building MIA is in doesn’t have it’s own lot behind it or anything.

Happy surprise. I never had sucha great service in a hookah place. the owner (i think) and the servers were fantastic, their service were higher than many restaurants !!

I frequent this place on occasion. It’s nice because the music is always good, as is the service and selection of flavors. They also have occasional Dj appearances and belly dance shows which is different, but if your not up for that this is a very well fancy place to chill with friends and have a cool smoke.
