I loved Macy’s at Eastland. But today, when I was looking for small perfume to bring to my trip, I had bad experience with store supervisor. A store clerk — older nice lady — asked what I was looking for. I told her I was looking for small perfume for short trip, and I generally wear Diorissimo and Kenzo’s Flower. I also told her I bought big bottle of J’Ador but I dropped on the floor, and spray got broken, and couldn’t use at all. She said that that was too bad, and she gave me three small samples of J’Ador. When she was handing me samples, a young guy was staring at her like he got her red handed. As I was leaving, he was accusing her«what were you doing?». She explained what happened. It sounded like I got her in trouble. The young male supervisor was so disrespective for staring at her and accusing her in the front of a customer, and accusing sales lady without knowing what was going on. I buy perfume there all the time for gift and myself. But I feel like I can’t go back anymore. I feel like the supervisor guy was treating me like a scam to get free perfume. It was horrible experience. I hope that the sales lady was ok.

I’m not a huge fan of Eastland mall but if you’re just going to Macy’s, it is faster to get in and out of this one than Easton or Polaris. The store is laid out nicely and seems more organized than it has been in the past. Though not every item is available, you can now shop online and pick up at the store, and it shows you on checkout what items are available at what store. There was just as much available for pickup at Eastland for my order as there would have been at Easton, so no brainer, in and out in about 5 minutes is perfect for people like me who do not particularly want to shop and browse in person, just want to get what I need and get out as quickly as possible. This store was good for that today, even during a huge sale.

Eastland Mall, specifically Macy’s, underwent a huge remodel a few years back. It was a much needed remodel too. Now the Macy’s store is super nice and well stocked. Today the store was well staffed, I had no problem finding someone to help me in the two departments I visited. I have had trouble in the past finding someone to check me out, but not today. The staff members were friendly and attentive, and I have no issue returning several items off my wedding registry, one without a receipt. The store was clean, well stocked, and safe(at least at 10am on a week day). I say three stars is a fair review of this location. It’s not bad in a pinch, but I’m sure there is more of a selection at the Easton or Polaris locations.

I’m mostly writing this review, not about the Macy’s in the mall, but about the furniture clearance center across the road. We found some great deals here. All sales are final, so you have to be willing to commit, but there is a price reward.

Compared to the other metro Macy’s stores, this one doesn’t have as much selection, but the store is well laid out, very clean & luckily very full of friendly folks. We went for the denim sale(no love for my husband) but ended up with new towels. If you just want to browse or don’t have a preconcieved idea of what you need, this is a nice Macy’s to go to. I’ll probably head to the Easton store instead so that I have more selection on my next visit.
