Their sign said they opened at 6. At 6:10 someone came and said good morning. I was given a seat and a menu. Small menu. Not a lot of choices. I ordered an omelette with tomato and onion. Very fluffy The hash browns were perfect. Slight crust on outside and nice inside. Well seasoned. The English muffin was sliced and not pulled apart but was good and fresh. The orange juice was good, not fresh squeezed and had no pulp, but it was good. The omelette was a three egg omelette and huge.

Made the mistake of trying this place for breakfast prior to going thru the TSA checkpoint. Big mistake. The omelettes just didn’t taste good. Overcooked and dry too. Only benefits were fast friendly service. There are plenty of more appealing places once you get past TSA.

I am from the Columbus area and I tend to eat at Max & Erma’s while traveling. I have no complaints about the food, and the service is usually very good. Last night, my wife and I stopped in for a drink. I had a glass of draft beer and she had a simple martini. The tab was $ 23. I’m sorry, Max and Erma, but that is highway robbery.

If you arrive super early to the airport, this is one of the few places that are open. Its just okay nothing really special about what is offered for breakfast. There are two people that were working and both of them seemed to be walking around in a daze unsure of what to do. I think my food was sitting out for a while after it was cooked because the toast was cold and moist and the eggs were cold and rubbery. The icing on the cake was when I discovered someone’s white hair on my toast.

I like the Third Street Salad and Tortilla Soup. They have more menu choices than a lot of airport restaurants. I found the service to be significantly slow especially when you are comparing to the usual fast paced airport experience. I heard my waitress apologize for the delay to all the tables around me. Not sure of they were understaffed, but the place was only about half full. They are located outside of security. The restaurant is relatively large and has a lot of tables. There are tv screens in sight lines of nearly every table.

I want to give them more stars but in my opinion, their prices are unreasonable. Eat and drink before you get to the airport to avoid this awful cost. Jason was a great bartender but again, in my opinion, not worth the price. 2 beers and and appetizer =$ 35+.

The pecan apple chkn salad was phenomenal. For a minute or two I didn’t think I was in an airport. Service fun, lively and fast. If you fly Delta, don’t go through security first as this place is in front of B gates.

Really not a fan. The food was edible — barely. Got one of the recommended mushroom burgers. The mushrooms were canned! Also ate only parts of the meat and bread. Same with fries. Only some were good. Didn’t care much for the seasoning on the fries either. The service was absolutely atrocious. The waitress I mean — the hostess was very smiley and friendly.

I guess you really shouldn’t expect much in an airport local chain restaurant. Had some time to blow before my flight back home, and places I would have preferred were in concourses to which I didn’t have access. Grabbed a seat at the sparsely populated bar, and awaited the barkeep, who was not exactly the friendliest or smiliest server, which differed a bit from my predominant Columbus experience. I had a decent craft beer — one of very few available — and a small order of the nachos. The nachos were quite blah, and made for an unexciting meal. Perhaps I’d give the place 3 stars normally, but the experience ended my long weekend in the area on a down note.

$ 6.50 for a bottle of Sam Adams which was a bit much for me. Garbage burger was too big to eat without a fork, kept falling apart, but was cooked perfectly. This location doesn’t have the full menu, my favorite is the steak fajitas and they aren’t offered here. It was really busy everywhere but the bar. I sat there and got excellent service from Patricia. I finished off my lunch with a hot chocolate chip cookie. In my opinion this is best place inside the airport to eat, terminal B has some stuff but there are slim pickings in terminal a and c.

We decided to eat here for a pre flight dinner. Overall, the quality was good, and the portions were generous for being located in the airport. Our waitress was friendly and livened things up as we dined. They didn’t have any printed kids menus, but they do have a nice selection of kids meals, so be sure to ask. They also offer a nice selection of beers for those looking to compliment their meal. Given the location to the airport and hotels, I’d recommend this as a nice family friendly location for a meal.

Food was good but service was awful! Waited for 10 minutes to be seated with NOBODY approaching the hostess stand. The poor cook who was on break finally seated 3 different tables and brought beverages. Waited another 15 minutes before anyone else approached our table — and that was only after the same cook came back and asked if we had been helped. We watched a server clear multiple tables instead of taking hour order! When the supervisor came over he basically stood at the table and said — «Yeah — you want something?» Absolutely pathetic if that is the supervisor! The cook and the bartender deserve raises — everyone else needs more training!!!

Standard airport bar with standardized American fare. For an airport concession, the prices aren’t too out of line with an off-site restaurant. Definitely an option to consider if you have to eat at Port Columbus.

When my flight is delayed, I get cocktails. Yes, ok. I order elaborate concoctions. But not TOO elaborate. I came here and the drinks are much as ones in NYC, so I’m used to it. But I don’t feel this place has the right to do this personally. Not everyone is used to NYC cocktail prices. And…it’s not NYC. Just keepin it real. Can’t lie and won’t lie. The girl behind the bar was amazing though. Great tending and customer service skills. So she can charge that. But if I had someone with a turd ‘tude, disputing would have occurred. I know I’m being a brat but I don’t care. I’m justified.

Stayed at the Crown Plaza so this was our free breakfast. We had made to order omelettes with fresh spinach, tomatoes, onions, etc. Staff very pleasant. Clean diner, quick service. Good coffee, real cream for your coffee. Friendly staff. We also came here for lunch. I ordered a Black Bean burger which was cooked crispy exactly the way I like it(Hear that, Smash Burger??? Charring a black bean burger CAN be done!!) The side salad that came with it was above average.

If you’re the type of person that likes Applebees, Ruby Tuesdays, and so on… this place is for you. For an airport restaurant, Max & Erma’s really brings their game. You can get your burgers made to order with anything on them… and any size. My burger was perfectly cooked and rested. Getting a burger cooked to medium, without juices pouring all over is rare(no pun intended). The burger was great too! The place was busy and our drinks stayed refilled. Our server came by to check on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Next time I’m through Columbus, and I’m stuck waiting for a flight, I’ll likely eat here again. Great job Max & Erma’s! Try: Making your own burger Avoid: Counting calories

It is what it is. A chain restaurant in an airport. Decent. Nothing to write home about. The burger I had was pretty good. Waitress was friendly. No complaints, really.

It’s an airport joint in Columbus. Perfecto. Delays always make me feel hungry and I guess delays are the only time I have to spend in an airport. Exhausted and tired I tore through the menu and found the comfort food I deny myself. Now, I’m not reviewing a NY Strip. Just pretzel stick. Sooooo good. So soft. So hot. So yummy. If you’re going to have those it better be damn good and it was. My chicken fingers also, if you’re going to do it, I say do it here. Perfect batter, crispy, full and overstuffed — perfecto. Cole slaw probably better than I’ve had in most Florida places and delis as well. Happily satisfied and ready to sleep it off… And it was empty so the service was stupendous!!!

I know this is a chain and I’m not sure I’d eat here if I wasn’t at CMH, but that being said — Max and Erma’s is awesome airport food. Somehow they didn’t get the memo that airport food is supposed to cost 50% more and be twice as worse. Here’s the lowdown on the grub: –Chicken Noodle — great –Tomato Mozzarella Chicken sandwich — awesome –Giant slice of amazing chocolate cake with ice cream All for under $ 25 — Score.
