McDonald’s

Ordered egg cheese on Mcmuffin and iced coffee with Splenda. Got sausage egg and cheese on Mcgriddle and pre sweetened coffee. Thank you McDonalds.

The first thing I noticed entering the restaurant was the number of flies. The restaurant looks very nice and new but was not clean. The flies were very bad, particularly around the ceiling at the right end of the counter (away from the kitchen). I am guessing a minimum of 30 flies were flying around that area. It was the most I have ever seen in a restaurant. This is the closest McDonald’s to my work and therefore, I typically don’t go to McDonald’s for lunch. I have been through the drive thru several times and typically the service is good but the food is not. I had not been inside the restaurant prior to today and can say that I will not be going back. I have ordered unsweet iced tea in the drive thru twice and thrown it out both times because it tasted rancid. I remembered this and when I ordered inside, I checked the unsweet tea before filling my cup and with just a small amount, I could smell it was rancid. I worked at McDonalds for nearly 4 years and know exactly what the issue is. If the workers just dump the tea when it is bad and don’t clean anything before making more tea, eventually the tea gets very bad tasting. This is typical of many McDonald’s but was the worst I have smelled. I’m glad I didn’t taste it. The tea said it was good thru 5pm according to the date sticker. I also ordered 2 apple pies. They were in the oven and not ready which is completely understandable. I asked for pumpkin instead. They were very cold. It seems the warmer was not on or was broken. They need to learn how to clean the restaurant.

Went through one morning for breakfast before work, was working in a location I normally do not work at to help staff since they were low. I ordered a hashbrown and sausage biscuit. Nothing else, not too difficult. I pulled away from this ghetto Mcdonald’s and drove on to work. When I got to work, they had given me two sandwiches full of egg, some gross orange cheese goop and nothing I had ordered. I went back at lunch and told them what happened and gave them my original receipt and the grill slip with the wrong items on it. The girl that was running the cashier (about 16 and ghetto as could be) said, «Oh you gotta talk to her» and then a grouch old woman, just as ghetto as the cashier came over and said «well, did you bring them back?» Um, no, I didn’t leave gross old McDonald’s sitting in my office all morning at work, and I can’t just leave work whenever I feel like it, I threw them away. I wasn’t going to eat them and I’m certain they can’t give them to someone else after I had them outside the restaurant, come on! This crackhead-​esque lady refused to give me a refund or even a meal on the store since I had no breakfast that morning because of their mistake. I now remember why I don’t eat fast food, especially in the ghetto.

This McDonald’s derives most of its business from events at the Expo Center and Fairgrounds. I’m sure some of my fellow Linden folk probably stop on their way to and from work, but I’ve never seen it particularly busy unless there was an event going on.
I’ve been a couple of times, but one visit stands out. It was bad on one hand, because the cashier rang up iced coffees when my friend and I had clearly ordered hot coffee. Even if she misheard us, the 36 degree weather outside should have tipped her off. However, when we told the next cashier about the error, she handled it with grace and was very apologetic.
Oh, and they have 50 piece nuggets. That’s craziness.
