McGuffey Market

The McGuffey Market is cool. You can grab a snack and play your lottery numbers there. If your really adventurous, you can check out the fish place next door for some grub or get your hair care products at the store next to it. Psssst… The hair store has movies too ;)

McGuffey gets four stars for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, the ATM surcharge fee? One. Dollar. YES. Cuz you know, my shady contractors be askin’ for cash payment. It’s also the closest business to my home with a license to sell alcohol. They’ve got some neat snacks like plantain chips that are a bit unusual to see, and I like that. The beer selection is far from great, but they have a handful of decent beers, like Negra Modelo, Guinness and a few others.
They don’t have a minimum on cards that I can recall, or if they do it’s only five bucks, the cashiers are friendly and pleasant, and there is ample parking for motorists, although I just ride up. The store is kinda large and they have a reasonable selection of daily needs and food, at convenience store prices, of course.
