Michaels

This review is primarily for the framing department. They went above and beyond the call of duty for us.
A few weeks ago, we took advantage of a frame sale to have our poster/​wedding guestbook framed. We were nervous about leaving the original (with the notes from our guests) at the store so we substituted an unsigned poster. It came back when they said it would and looked fantastic! The hitch came when we tried to swap the posters ourselves… due to a teeny, tiny flaw in the glass and our own stupidity, we managed to break the glass. My husband went back to the store to see what could be done about getting some new glass. Not only were we offered a new piece of glass, they took care of re-​framing the poster so our stupid hands didn’t break anything again.
The best part?
They fixed it on the SPOT! I was floored, I thought we would have had to wait (and was perfectly okay with waiting). So, not only were they super-​accomodating but the picture looked amazing. Yes, it was pretty expensive but we needed a custom frame… it was so worth the price. We will definitely come back to get framing done.

I’m puzzled that one mystery continues to remain unsolved every time I visit this particular location. Why can I never find an employee away from the cash register? The employees working came across incompetent and lazy. Michael’s you might want to pop quiz your employees — they seem quite daft.
With that said, I love that Michaels allows coupons to be scanned from smartphones. There were several sales going on throughout the store which made me feel comfortable buying a few extra items I didn’t intend to purchase for my project.

This Michael’s can sometimes get very busy, but that doesn’t stop staff from being helpful and keeping the lines moving.
I love that they accept coupons on smart phones.
This store has some great clearance. They also have great weekly specials and are good about having enough stock to supply the demand.
I shop here for baking supply (pans, boxes, decorative wrap, frosting tips, and colorings), silk flowers (because I kill all living plants), baskets, picture frames, art work, Christmas Décor (can’t beat 6-​% off before the Holiday ends).
Michael’s is the place to go for one stop shop crafty needs. Period.

The Michael’s at this location is very nice. The employees were helpful, and professional/​Clean.

I give 5 stars to the entire Michaels group. They are all over America and sell everything you could want in the shape of arts and crafts materials. Huge buildings and take ages to look round. If you are like me you will spend a fortune but marvel how everything seems to be half the price it is in UK.
As well as books and materials for many projects they have doll and bear crafting, scrapbooking, mosaics, leather, jeweelery tool and a huge selection of beads and findings. Moulding materials, craft paints. Ribbons, candle and soap making, papercrafts, yarn and fabrics, and stuff for DIY home décor. Not like B & Q but to give arty touches.
I have only visited 2 or 3 of these stores but all were great. Mail order too I believe.
