I went to Northeast Obgyn three times before deciding to find another provider. The office staff was not very friendly or professional. I had to get lab work one day and was left waiting in the lab wondering if I was finished or not because the technician left without saying anything and never came back. Another appointment I stood in line with three other women trying to check out, but there was no one at the back desk and the person at the front desk acted as if she didn’t see us all waiting. The doctor I saw, Michael Parker seemed alright, but I could never get in to see him in a timely manner. It took me 6 months to get in for my first appointment. He wanted to see me back a few weeks after my first appointment, but because I wasn’t available the one time slot they offered I had to wait another month and half to get back in. When I called for my third appointment, I was informed that it would be an additional six months before the doctor could see me again. I’m sorry, but 6 months is a ridiculous time for an established patient to have to wait to get a follow up for a gynecology appointment. The doctor never responded to email communications I sent him. The practice appears to have taken on more patients than they have time for and should focus on managing their numbers better so they can take care of the clients they do have. I wish I could have stayed with Dr. Parker, but the inefficiency and lack of timely communication from the office was a deal breaker. As an additional tip– Dr. Parker will not prescribe birth control and advocates a natural family planning approach. This was fine with me as I knew about it going in, but may be important information for other potential patients to know.

Very unprofessional front counter staff. I went in for a medical issue back in July of 2012. Since then, I have been bounced back and forth between Dr. Michael Parker and various specialists. This entire time, I was never told what type of cyst it was, how severe, what the plan was for removal, etc. I would receive various calls to reschedule my last appointment because Dr. Parker wasn’t available, had an emergency or whatever other excuse his front staff could come up with. Finally, the day before Thankgiving, I go in for my 10am appoinment(to which I was told to wait a few minutes, doctor is running behind and you JUST have a consultation). I waited. Then I waited. There is a sign at the front counter that states«If you are waiting more than 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment, please let us know». I gave them the benefit of a doubt and waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. Basically, I asked how much longer and it snowballed into a complete mess. The office manager told me Dr Parker is with a breast cancer survivor… and that I’ll have to wait for ‘just my consultation’ a little while longer. They never gave me a time. When my husband stood up and asked how much longer and if we could get a copy of my medical records, the response was«I don’t need this crap a day before a holiday». I finally went in, Dr Parker was extremely rude and annoyed. I was in and out. I dont think he completed 3 sentences. Now, 6 weeks later, I receive a certified letter in the mail from the office manager stating they«are no longer responsible for my medical care». HA! YOUHAVETOFIRSTTAKECAREOFSOMEONEBEFOREYOUDENYTHEMCARE! Dr Michael Parker and his staff do not care. They overbooked patients(fueled by greed), they lost my record’s and rescheduled my consultation so many times that Dr Parker forgot the whole reason why I was there in the first place. Thank you, Dr Parker and staff for making an already difficult experience worse. Thank you for wasting paper by sending me that letter(and let’s not forget the bill!). I will never send anyone near your office, ever. And as far as the bill goes, you can talk with my lawyer bout that.
