Though I really disliked the way nurse practitioners handled things, and just generally being forced to see a nurse rather than the specialist I was here to see, I have been seeing the doctor since. I would give the doctor four stars but due to the initial interactions with nurse practitioners who prescribed things that made me sick, would not listen and just left me in pain, it’s still not a place I would go back to if I broke a bone again, but not so bad now that I would switch at this point either. It is convenient and easy to get appointment times that work with my schedule.

Years ago(like 25) I broke my ankle and was taken to the ER at Mt. Carmel East. Lucky for me, Dr. Bombach was on duty and put my left ankle back together. Over the years, I continued to see Dr. Bombach when I had orthopedic issues. I recently watched as this facility was constructed, and have visited here twice to consult with doctors and just finished 12 physical therapy visits. Yes, it is BIG business, but I must say that everyone there is so very nice! I mean everyone! From the receptionists to the Doctors they are all down to earth straight shooters. The docs I have seen(recently saw a hand specialist for arthritis) are honest and plain speaking and show you the x-rays and explain what’s going on and what there is to do about it. Maybe it’s just orthopedists they seem to be very practical people. Like I said, I just finished 12 visits of Physical Therapy at the facility too. Over the years, I’ve been to several places for PT and this is far and away the best experience I have had. It included one on one interaction with the therapist each visit and some deep tissue massage over the course of the therapy. There is a therapy pool(I didn’t use) and Pilates equipment(I did) and all is clean and pleasant. Honestly, I wish I could join up for a membership at this club! They also offer classes that you may attend that address various problems. The first week of each month they have a Healthy Back class — that’s for me! The PT facility is dedicated to Dr. Bombach. Not too long ago he lost his life to lymphoma. He was a great guy, and I can see his philosophy at work in this wonderful facility.
