OSU Surplus

I’m surprised no one has listed the OSU Surplus yet. They are only open to the public on Tuesdays from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and only accept checks or money orders as payment. Most of their inventory is the typical leftover school furniture — lab tables, desks, chairs, bookcases, random lamps — although sometimes they have odd things like a piano, exercise equipment, library carts. The computers usually go really early in the morning. You can check their inventory online at their website, although it is not always very descriptive. I have seen some nice office furniture like coffee tables and side chairs which would not look amiss in a living room. There are also some nice antique looking desks that could be refinished to look very nice. I’ve bought a couple of solid old wood chairs for $ 5 each, and there are some decent desk chairs to be had for the same price. The selection varies widely from week to week.
