P J’s Drive-Thru

so let me preface this story by saying that I am totally unfamiliar with the liquor store scene in Ohio, nor am I at all familiar with the whole «drive-​thru» liquor store thing either. but this was a particularly interesting story. We are in Dublin which is a suburb of columbus. I am out on a hunt to try and find some beer for the wife and I to enjoy today and tonight. nothing crazy. I found PJ’s drive-​thru liquor store as I was on the hunt and I pull up to it. There are parking spots out front and I can see where the beer is stored. now i have no clue how these things work, and so I didn’t really want to just drive thru because I didn’t know what they had and I didn’t want to hold up the traffic of the store. So I park. I get out of the car and there are signs outside saying «NO ROLLERBLADING OR SKATEBOARDING». So i think «ok, so i can probably walk, browse, get back in my car and buy stuff». So I walk past the attendant at the store and start browsing the cooler. I walk into the cooler, there was no sign indicating that I couldn’t do so. As I am in the back, I see a couple sixers of Jackie O’s cans, and I’m pumped. Exactly what I want to buy. As I notice them, the attendant storms into the cooler and starts literally screaming at me to «GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY STORE». When I say screaming, i mean screaming. I try to apologize politely and tell him that I didn’t know how these stores work and that I’m from out of town and I will happily drive thru to buy these beers. He screams at me again to «GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE». I said ok and I start walking out, again politely saying I didn’t know how these worked, asked him if i could drive thru, and he yelled again at me telling me effectively to fuck off. Honestly I was as polite as anyone could ever be. i’ve not experienced anything like that before. was really crazy. Neeless to say, I won’t return there when we are back in Columbus.

Service Is always friendly & fast, they have a wide variety beer & wine. They also carry a variety of soda & chip products & of course tobacco products! Prices are mediocre.

PJ’s is your standard drive through nestled in the middle of the suburbs. But the guys who run the place are especially friendly and helpful, and they’re willing to make special orders for repeat customers.
