Pierce Cleaners

This is an old-​time cleaners and I think the inside of the establishment has not been updated since it opened. Two high school students were staffing the counter. It was refreshing to find an old fashioned family owned business. My cleaning was done right, and they were able to turn it around in 36 hours which was impressive. Only point of unhappiness was the prices. Luckily I do not give business presentations very often so I do not rely on cleaners on a regular basis. Pierce Cleaners is pricey.

My husband’s job requires him to wear a suit everyday, so. naturally, we’re at the cleaners quite often. This place is practically right across the street so it saves us time. They also have a pick-​up & delivery service in case you need it!
Now, I hardly ever give out 5 stars, but this place has beaten all other cleaners Ive been too. It’s important to Tom to look his best at work, and the people who clean his suits really matter. A lot of times youll get a place you dumps your nice clothes in a bag and it comes back with holes in it; it was a nightmare! But they were perfectly cleaned and well worth the $ 11. They even managed to get out a few stains and wrinkles that have never been able to get out since he bought them.
They were more then friendly and even managed to have it back to us within a few short days (without asking. that’s just how quick they are. — usually it takes about a week… but not here I guess)
I would recomend this place to absolutly anyone!

Professional and courteous. They pick up and drop off at your home if you like. I’ve been a customer for ten years and they’ve never made a mistake. I’m a fan.

Pay attention to their sign out front for the witty phrases that change regularly, and they’re not always the same on both sides. One time I remember it saying, «When the smog lifts in Los Angeles, UCLA.» This time it said on one side, «A liar is not believed when he tells the truth,» and on the other side, «Relish today, ketchup tomorrow.»
Humorous sayings aren’t the only thing there is to Pierce Cleaners. Pierce has been around since 1946, as stated on their store front. For 63 years they have and do clean just about any fabric, including leather. However, to clean leather it takes about a week because of a process. Clothing isn’t the end as they also do bedding and upholstery. Sewing, tailoring and repairing is also available.
They didn’t have a price list but they were able to give me an estimate on how much an item like a wool sweater jacket would cost to. Now, I’ll admit I haven’t been to too many dry cleaners so I’m not totally sure how that compares. My suggestion would be go fishing: go around and ask cleaners about how much it would be to clean your item so you can compare. Another suggestion I have is when you drop off your items to be cleaned ask for a receipt saying what it is you dropped off and when. This is for any dry cleaners regardless of how good you’ve heard they are or how many times you’ve been there before.

Have you seen them? The really funny musings they have displayed on their marquee? I thought to myself that these people must be hilarious and fun given their obviously witty marketing strategy. Well, don’t just a marquee by its cover. I found them to be lacking in the personality department and completely unconcerned with hearing about how I was prompted to come in because of their funny sayings on the marquee outside. Not to mention expensive. If you live in the area it might be your only option and if so, they’ll do as their is nothing wrong with their ability to clean and tend garments, but I found Pierce to be a bit anti-​climactic.
