Dropped by here as I was waiting for dinner. I ordered the mango ginger popsicle, a friend of mine got the kiwi. I gave it a 3 star because it tastes exactly like what it says. a frozen kiwi, and a frozen ginger popsicle. I couldn’t get the ginger taste out of my mouth.

Oh my wow. This place is incredible. Like Steel City/King of Pops good. Everything I have had here was exceptional. I would highly recommend the key lime pie and the pistachio. The service is excellent and welcoming. I believe each pop is approx. $ 3 – 4 and comes individually wrapped. It is so refreshing to see small modern businesses like this opening up in Columbus!

Planet Pops now has lunch. I’ve had the roast beef sandwich twice and the Chicken Tortilla soup(Saturday’s soup) three times. It’s quite good. The sandwich wasn’t cooked long enough the second time, but it was still good. The soup is delicious, and both it and the sandwich seem to be mostly homemade. They have about 7 or 8 other sandwiches including a 3-cheese grilled cheese. You get Lay’s regular potato chips with each sandwich, but hopefully they’ll expand their choices in the future. It may take a while to get your food if there are others there, but it shouldn’t be unbearable. If you’re looking for lunch downtown, definitely check it out, and you can get a pop for dessert as well.

This place is freaking adorable. My husband and I are killing time before a wedding in Columbus, GA where we’ve never been. He wants Coldstone, and I say, «We can do better.» I found this place using Monocle(!!!) and in we went. The space is cute as a button – all lime green, and ocean blue with a deep space/local art motif, and party-colored lights. The two gents behind the counter told me I had to try this new thing they’d just made – I would be the first customer to buy it, they claimed. Dear lord in heaven – butterscotch popsicle with chocolate-covered pretzels INSIDE. My husband had a(n also extremely good) habanero-pineapple thing that did not disappoint. Go go go go go go and support your delicious local business! I wish they were in my hood.

My husband and I popped into this place back in January after having dinner at the Black Cow. We have been back several times because the popsicles are delicious and the staff is so nice! My husband LOVES the Thin Mint and I have tried several different kinds and liked them all. If you are out in downtown Columbus you should give this place a try.

Planet Pops is the best thing to hit«Uptown» Columbus! Happy to say I’m a regular; visit at least 2 – 3 times a week and have tried just about every flavor available. Top dessert picks are banana pudding and key lime pie, top healthy choices are cucumber lime mint and pineapple orange banana; but must say that I haven’t tried one that I don’t like! Can’t wait for all the holiday flavors and am hoping for a peppermint mocha!
