I have to admit I do not like showering in softwater. However, my wife chose to purchase the unit, so we have it. So far installation hasn’t gone as expected. The initial installation occurred within 24 hours of purchase. The location of the incoming water pipe in our house relative to a drain posed some issues. After phone consultations, the installer decided to run the drain hose along the ceiling with the promise of installing molding to cover the hose during the return visit. Additionally, an electrical outlet wasn’t convenient so a hole was drilled through the wall at waist level into the adjacent room to use an outlet there. We expected installation to require 2 visits with the second primarily being to repair the hole in the wall to access the water line. Although, the first visit was within 24 hours, I had to call to complain to trigger the second visit more than 2 weeks after the first. The dry wall repairs we completed satisfactorily; however, the promised molding installation was deemed impossible. We’re left with a black drain hose running across the ceiling. The lifetime warranty is a wonderful perk. Our unit has been installed for about 3 weeks, and it has been repaired twice. The owner has been responsive and apologetic. She has given us Home Depot gift cards for our trouble. The unit works as promised and provides the softwater we expected. Hence the second star.
