This place was certainly different. I really don’t know why I haven’t thought of a sandwich like this before. It’s just chopped meat and cheese on like a hotdog bun… hmmm…In the lobby they have a slushie machine, brilliant! Tip: get a coke, then add slushie… yum!

I ordered the new Runza a bacon sort of combination and it was okay. I had heard good things about their onion rings and though they were tasty they were a little thick and not as amazing as they would indicate. Maybe it was because I had the Runza and not the burgers, but the meal itself only felt okay and did not live up to the hype I had heard about. That said if I get another chance while traveling through Nebraska I would be up for trying their other options, but of the options I did partake in they just ended up being okay.

I am now officially a Runzatic. After many trips to Nebraska, I finally was convinced to try Runza. The Runza is hamburger meat in something like a hot dog bun. They are also known for their Crispy, crinkle cut French fries. It made me remember the french fries from my elementary school. Did i mention that this chain has a Quirky sense of humor ?? Runzatic is actually a word according to them. Their tray liners have a printed contract that you can fill out to become a Runzatic. Finally, i didn’t get one, but as part of the standard fountain drinks, they have something called a Runza slushie. It looked like an Icee, but different. P.s, they have really Friendly employees, but you expect that in a place like Columbus, NE
