Show & Sell Merchandise

This is one of those excellent places where you can go and find the things that you like the look of everywhere else but for half the price. It’s worth digging. Seriously. Don’t gag when you first walk in, because there’s some generous yick going on. Also, please ignore the salespeople. I know they’re obnoxious. Just don’t go all hulk and throw that ottoman at them.

Show & Sell Merchandise is a real find on Cleveland Avenue. From the outside of the store, I didn’t expect to find great furniture inside. In fact, I planned on skipping it altogether. Then, when I was shopping in Ohio Thrift Store next door, I realized that there was an interior entrance to Show & Sell. I cautiously walked in…
They actually have a huge selection of furniture (a small amount of which is used) and mattresses. The prices are killer. Now, don’t get me wrong, plenty of the items were undeniably ugly. With some browsing, there were some stylish pieces to be found in stock — and again those prices were unbeatable. They had an amazing vintage chair just at the entrance of the store for only $ 35. I know a chair like that would have been marked up to at least $ 100 in Clintonville. I would have left with it if my place had the room for another chair.
