Stopped by today. Had a coupon from the Entertainment book. Was told they are under new ownership and will not honor the coupon. Heard the food was good, but, I will have to take my money elsewhere. Is a shame as I like to support local business when I can. The staff was polite as they began helping with the sandwich choices.

I believe the guys that started it have recently sold it. You may have notice a change in service.

PAINFULLYSLOW! Have been going here for years and defended them against criticism by orhers in the past, but unfortunately incredibly slow service is the norm and not the exception. Food is good, but it’s simply not worth me going there anymore.

I love this place for nights I don’t feel like cooking. My favorite are the pasta dishes, the tomato soup, and the three cheese panini!

It physically pains me to write a bad review about Spinelli’s. This place used to be a go-to lunch spot for work. Over the years, it seems like the quality has gone down, VERY rapidly. I’d switch between two different sandwiches and now the breads for both of them are no longer available. Without telling me before then. They substituted what I think was a crumbly potato bread on a soggy sandwich(had dressing) and by the time I got back to work, it had turned into a pile of goo. I work 3 minutes away. Granted, I also had to wait 10 minutes when I was the only one in the restaurant. This place used to be so good and I want to give them another chance but I can’t help to think of my crumbly goo sandwich every time I go by.

I’d walked past this place many times and generally like deli sandwiches, so recently I thought why not give it a try? This turned out to be a mistake. The sandwich I ordered, something along the lines of an Italian-style sub, was among the worst I have ever had, primarily because the bread was horrible. This particular bread, which the employee who made my sandwich told me was supposed to be sourdough, had no flavor and the consistency of memory foam. The texture of the sandwich was further made unappealing by meats and vegetables that were sliced inconsistently and on the whole too thick. My sandwich was no bad I was unable to bring myself to finish it, stopping a few bites into the second half. The only positive thing I can say is that the service was good. The employees were very friendly and attentive, which is why I am giving a 2-star rather than a 1-star rating. Still, I do not think I will be back, and I would recommend going somewhere else, unless you like eating memory foam.

One of the best spots in town :) love all the variety of things on their menu along with the great staff! It has a few nice tables to where you can sit outside and enjoy your meal or just a coffee. Highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area

I’ve been coming to Spinelli’s for about three years now, and in the past year, the quality has gone way down. I came in recently with my sister, I ordered a margherita flatbread, she ordered a cran-turkey Cobb salad. They brought out our food, and my flatbread didn’t have any basil. They said they ran out and hadn’t ordered more. It would have been nice to know before I ordered… I would have picked something other than a weird tomato-only pizza. My sister’s salad didn’t have any turkey on it. Instead it had about triple the bacon that goes on it. When she asked about it, they said they forgot, and brought some out. Turkey is in the name… Today I went in for some soup, and ordered grilled cheese and tomato bisque. After ordering and paying, I was told they didn’t have tomato bisque today. Again, something I would have liked to know before paying for my meal. I’m done wasting my time and money on this place. I love supporting local business, but it’s over priced, and I never get what I order.

Stopped by to grab a to-go breakfast, after having a bad experience with lunch there a few months ago. Thought I’d give it another try. This place is dirty. The floor and walls have dust and food particles everywhere. The employees don’t act like they want to be there. Food was fine, but I won’t return after seeing(for the second time) how dirty it was.

Not the best customer service; cashier just took order with no interactions, service was excruciatingly slow and when the order arrived it was wrong and missing items. When the staff was notified no apology was given and we had to wait again for the right order. You pay before you eat so there’s no way to really walk out, but we did without our corrected order. Disappointed and not coming back.

Over priced for what you get. The food is good, but very average. The sandwiches are small for the price, and the menu is not differentiated from any average sub shop.

If it wasn’t directly across the street from my place, I’d never know or care it existed. Food is just ok — prices are fair but still probably not warranted by the paper-wrapped, average portioned, basic sandwiches. I’m a very open-minded consumer, but this place just doesn’t do it for me, enough to write a review. The Tomato soup is actually great, but otherwise I don’t intend on returning. More bang for your buck going next door to Giant Eagle and trying your luck at the grab n go cooler.

I don’t know what they do to their eggs but they are amazing! Juicy! The only complaint I have is… They only have ketchup packets and not bottles.

You know those fake«hidden camera» shows on the food network that«catch» food workers behaving poorly? Well that has been my experience with this place. I have gone here multiple times because the food is good, when made correctly. However, the one star review is for the below terrible service at this location. A while back a witnessed a food worker drop half of the roast beef that was supposed to be on my sandwich on the floor. Luckily he did not put the floor roast beef on the sandwich. Instead he decided to serve me a sandwich with half the beef as if I didn’t see him drop it. The owner contacted me and promised me that things would change so I was dumb enough to give them another try. I came in for lunch around 1 expecting it to be fairly busy. It was not. Even though there was no line and maybe 1 more customer ordering food after I ordered mine, it still was enough to confuse them. I ordered a spicy beef sandwich that has jalapeño bacon. They decided to leave off the bacon and brought me a baconless sandwich… I also had to remind them to bring my pasta salad since it was so… slammed … Not … When I put my dishes into the dirty dish filled dish tub I couldn’t help but notice a couple fruit flies fly up. You can come here expecting to pay $ 10 for a poorly made sandwich and a very small pasta salad. I concur with the other Unilocalers about the quality of service.

Spinelli’s is a quick walk from my place and it’s a great place to have breakfast or lunch! It’s a cute little spot next to Giant Eagle with a few tables inside and some additional patio seating for those dining in and wanting to enjoy the weather! Breakfast is served all day and the chipotle burrito is delicious! Today I tried the Philly and it was so tasty! The banana peppers really helped seal the deal in this one! I also suggest making it a combo and adding a side of pasta salad! It’s one of the best I’ve had from a deli! All around this is a great spot!

FYI, I filled out their«contact page» from their web site in which they say they will answer ALLMESSAGES. Mine was NOT answered. I guess its easy to see why the workers dont care, when its apparent the owners dont either. So much for customer care and service.

I walked in here on a whim at about 2pm on a Tuesday. It’s a small shop with room to seat sixteen, but I am under the impression it is more of a to-go kind of place. I stayed anyway, couldn’t resist having the whole place to myself. Ordered half of a three cheese panini and a cup of tomato soup. Being from the east coast, «deli» evokes an image for me of a place much different than this, it is more just a sandwich shop. Cons: –The floor is super gross. So gross my service dog did not want to lay down on it. I would add another star if it was less gross. –My coffee was kinda lukewarm. –There was a hair in my fruit cup. Pros: –The soup and sandwich were sinfully delicious. As good as or better than Melt, reasonably priced, and filling. –Terrific indie/alternative rock music selection. I never expected to hear Future Islands out in public. –The vegetarian options are marked on the menu, very convenient. Once Boston Stoker opens, I can see myself coming here regularly for food after I get my cappuccino. P. S. To the dude who smoked a cig outside and left it on the ground — you are way too cool for that please don’t litter.

The wife and I stopped here yesterday at around 1:00pm. It seemed to be a slow time of the day, only a couple of other customer’s were in the restaurant. The aesthetics of the place are decent, with bright colors on the walls and some pop music playing overhead. A large window encompasses the front the the store, and lets plenty of natural light in, which is a plus in my book. Cleanliness was very good, there was no messes or spills on the surfaces or floors. Nothing to report about the bathroom, as I didn’t use it. The wife ordered the Philly Beefy Buttles combo with fruit, whereas I ordered the Reuben combo with potato salad. Both were very good. The Reuben was HUGE, much more than I expected. The rye bread was soft and mild, the corned-beef tender and very succulent. The sauerkraut wasn’t overly wet and balanced out the thousand-island dressing very nicely. It was a damn good sandwich! The wife described the Philly as cheesy and juicy. She said the beef was tender and flavored as expected. The bread was fresh and cheesy. She didn’t expect the banana peppers, as she didn’t see it on the menu right away, so she removed them. Otherwise she enjoyed the sandwich, but was a little jealous that my choice was so much larger than hers. The fruit side was plain cut fruit: strawberries, melon, kiwi, grapes, etc. The potato salad however was exceptional! Creamy, bacony, and the right balance of green onion. The wife finished it and said she liked it better than what she makes at home! Overall we had a very enjoyable lunch here. I recommend this to anyone in the area.

I stopped over for lunch for the first time today just to check it out and see what it had to offer. Walking in the atmosphere was very stale. The people working just had this«DUH» look on their face. Doesn’t seem like all the hamsters were on their wheels this afternoon. I had to repeat my order three times and literally almost walked out. It’s not that complicated… I just wanted the black bean burger with no mushrooms and to combo it with potato salad. Not rocket science. I would not trust them to cater anything. They could barely get my order. I do give credit where credits due in regards that my burger was good. Potato salad was ok. Too much mayo for my taste but everyone’s different. Overall, I probably won’t be back. The only word that came to mind when I left was«Yikes».

On the way to the 10tv Health and Fitness Expo, we stopped at Spinelli’s Deli for the first time. Initial thoughts — the place is really small, but big things come in small packages. As we opened the door we were greeted by the wonderful smells of the kitchen. We had an Entertainment coupon that we used and purchased two sandwiches Spinelli’s Spicy Beef — this is a very delicious sandwich on an Italian Roll. I didn’t think it was that spicy but then again I LOVE spicy so it wasn’t over the top which is good. Grilled Chicken — another delightful sandwich on Sundried Parmesan Bread. Between the two this one had more wow factor, but they were both delicious and would order them both again. The pickle that came with each sandwich was gigantic and a great compliment to the sandwich. We ate our sandwiches in the store and the food came out looking very nice and on plates. These sandwiches looked like they were made with care. Thanks for the wonderful first time experience!
