I always have a good time here. It’s not a chain place so you can actually walk in and have a seat at the bar anytime. I’m just not a fan of over crowded chain bars with pre maid over priced food. You can get a seat, a cold beer, and a good burger in a short time.

A once fun bar but all of the good bartenders have been fired or run off over there years. And therefore so was any hope of a future… The kitchen is beyond disgusting and the health department has given warnings. The location is awesome and I just wish the owners could get it together and stop catering to their geriatric or alcoholic customers which are dropping over dead daily.

I was a semi-regular here about 10-years ago. I say semi, because this is not a place to have a wild time as a young adult. But it did have its charm as a divey smokeasey, a place to chill out, the type of place you’d expect an old alcoholic bullshitter to shuffle over and regale you with tales that were at best dubious. A great place to get away from the places you go to get away from it all. I still make my way over once in awhile. I don’t know the bartenders any more but they are still friendly. This place does serve some surprisingly good bar grub. The usual selection, and certainly not tops in the city, but it is good for a bite when your grease levels need topping off. In the giant strip mall on Henderson, it is in front of the Korean Restaurant Silla. The inside is straight from the 70s: big windows covered by long blue Venetian blinds, old wood frame booths, country chair set tables, blue sprinkled with red rag carpeting. It strikes me as neither out-of-fashion nor nostalgic. As if the 1970s found sanctuary there from the onslaught of time. The walls are pimpled with Ohio State junk, mainly Woody. The January 2nd, 1974 Dispatch Sports page is framed neared the restroom celebrating a Rose Bowl win; long past yellow, its cheep stock is almost dust; memories forgotten by the proprietor or whoever put it there 40-years-ago. The clientele is on the old side. I’d call it the affluent skid row, Upper Arlington plus alcoholism, the place Don Draper will waste away in at 60. It’s the retired lawyer/drunk with his third wife sucking sniffers of bourbon; the lone elderly man in corner, who seems to be in every bar, with his Archie Bunker fedora and soulless stare; a younger dude and his bored date; the retired school teacher, Ex of a CEO, three sheets to the wind and loud in her sandpaper voice acting out her day in pantomime to her lesbian lover; the bartender’s friend; the servers from next door giggling. At some point the flower man with a bucket of roses will walk in, around, and out. This is that kind of place. Unfortunately, it has long ago lost it smokeasy illicit coolness in favored of a cover patio where the old drunks will light their putrid cigars. Back in the day it wasn’t unusual to see Hopalong Cassady there. As for beer selection there is not much. They had one on tap: Yuengling. They do pour Guinness correctly. They have TVs for sports and a projector screen for big events. It is a dive. A place for people that like to go down slow.

Our condo is within walking distance of Spud’s, and my husband and I go about every other week when the weather’s decent. We’ve tried all the bars on Henderson Rd and this is by far our favorite. The drinks are cheap, the atmosphere is friendly, and karaōke on Saturdays is seriously entertaining. Also, I love pinball and they have two machines.

Great bar… great staff. always friendly and service is quick. The burritos are really really good. The food is much better than your typical bar food. Owners welcome you in like the bar on Cheers.

Without the karaōke on Saturday nights this place would only get 2 stars. Anyway, karaōke on Saturday nights is awesome! I love singing and I love karaōke. It’s not a huge crowd but it’s enough people. It’s usually a small crowd when I go. You’ll get a chance to sing almost as much as you want. The bartender is pleasant with decent drinks. I’ve only had fries from the«grill» which were good, but I can’t really rate their other food. Don’t expect a young crowd. This is a decent bar, a little outdated but that’s not a big deal. FYI they have a sheltered patio in the front for you smokers.

I dont know what the heck is going on up in this here joint but last time I stopped by to have a quick drinkie b4 I got my nails done next door there was no nibbles & kibbles available. It was not even 2pm and the lady behind the bar told me the kitchen was closed?! She had a pound of makeup on her eyes that were makin them droopy loopy and it was dark, creepy and like a scene out of Blue Velvet going on! What in the heck?! I ran out of there panicked!!! Stay far away!!!

Walked in and it looked like a typical bar. Not a diverse demographic, mostly old men. I walked in to a bunch of confused stares. I stood at the bar and spoke to the gentleman nearby as I waited for the bartender. I waited. and waited… waited some more and about 5 – 7 minutes later, she finally came over. I said hello and asked how she was and she harshly responded, ‘fine’!. I asked for glass of water. She rolled her eyes and made my «drink». As she slammed it in front of me, she said I have to keep it inside(mind you, the bar has a patio). I confirmed, ‘I can’t take it to the patio’, she responded, ‘not glass’. I found this strange since i had just watched two other women take their glassed-drinks out to the patio. I then asked, may I have a non-glass container, then. She said we don’t have them and then walked off. It was the strangest thing. I knew immediately that my business was not wanted so I left. Maybe only certain kind of people are welcome here :(. I don’t recommend this bar to anyone– there are plenty of other bars around with nice service. So sad when people let their personal issues inhibit the growth of a business… silly rabbits.

Nice neighborhood watering hole. It’s never been busy when I’ve dropped in for a bite to eat. Typical pub grub kind of food, nothing really special, but satisfies the hunger. I think what I liked most about the place is just watching the people who drop in. Service has always been friendly.

My first impression of this place wasn’t all that great. There were three or four guys sitting on the patio smoking cigars. Worse yet, they were sitting right on top of the front door. Spuds really needs to do something about that. But anyway, the food was good! After looking over the menu, I settled on the daily special(turkey, potatoes, and green beans). The whole meal was really good. If the rest of the menu is as good, they’ve got a good thing going!

I go here every once in while. The food is delicious and the service is awesome. It’s good to bring the kids in as long as its not too late. There’s a bar in the middle, to the right is the restaurant side and on the left is a jukebox and other games. They have some really good burritos!
