I strolled in here at about 10:30 on a Sunday morning, in order to give the people who were hosting me during my driving vacation a break from serving me their great home made foods and hospitality. The first thing I noticed was that it was kind of a cafeteria style SEATING arrangement; in that it was just a bunch of long tables and chairs. Along the perimeter of the place were some smaller tables for two. So I sit down with my friend, and we notice that it’s busy on a Sunday morning. This to me is always a test for a restaurant; how do they handle large crowds? They came through perfectly! Water was constantly filling my glass; waitresses and busboys were constantly buzzing throughout the floor, and the noise wasn’t unbearable. So I ordered something that I’ve never had before; a Denver omelette smothered in country gravy. Holy cow was that good! I may never eat an an omelette without cholesterol-producing gravy ever again!!! Outside of that, the meal was good. The people were friendly, and the price wasn’t too bad. If you’re in or near Columbus, Nebraska, then what the heck; stop in for a decent meal.
