The first couple of times we went here we loved it. Very good fish. Then we found some other places closer to where we lived. Since then we have returned a couple of times and while the quality of the fish has remained outstanding the service is just pitiful! Tonight was about the third time that we have gone here for sushi in the past year and after tonight we have had enough — no more. Waited and waited for our food to get to us even though it wasn’t crowded. I suppose the big table behind us took up a lot of the chefs time. But once we got our food our server was pretty much every other place but our table. Didn’t refill our drinks even though they were obviously empty glasses and unless his eyesight was poor he didn’t see them when he took the salad and soup bowls away. True, we should’ve spoken up but we were experimenting to see if he’d ever pick up on the refills — failed experiment. While this is the first time we have gotten that poor service here the past couple of times exhibited the same lack luster and slow service. There are other sushi places around that hopefully do not charge an arm and a leg like this place does and we shall be taking our business there. Oh, and if you order lemonade it comes in a can.

I found the food to be extremely bland. The selection of rolls really wasn’t that great. The miso soup was good, but average. The food came out, for 3 people, at 3 separate times, which was extremely awkward. Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the experience and I won’t be back, especially for the $ 80 we spent there.

Presentation was awesome but the food wasn’t flavorful. We came for Sushi and shared 3 rolls. It wasn’t rolled well at all and it was very bland. Every piece fell apart. The waiter seemed to be having an off day. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed. Won’t be back.

Not good. Dishes aren’t authentic. Save your money. Chicken was dry and tasted like a frozen chicken breast. Presentation was HORRID. service was friendly but slow. Should’ve checked the actual reviews instead of just looking at the average star rating.

First time here and the food was the bomb! My man and I went in for dinner, split a sushi roll and an entrée and we both left full and happy. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely will be going back.

Hands down. Best sushi in Columbus. Don’t come here for the ambience. Come for the sushi. It is damn good.

Ok so I used to love Sushi En. A few years ago the quality was actually really good, but they have really fallen down. The sushi is now bland and the fish isn’t good. Last time I was there the tuna was not a very vibrant color like it should be and the chefs just seemed to be throwing assorted products back into their cold case. I don’t get the other foods but my friends have said it isn’t very good. The noodle bowls especially are just salty and off putting. This makes me sad but I will no longer be going here.

This place just got the«Dirty dish award» for the 2nd time this year for having 6 critical health code violations. Any restaurant who doesn’t care about health and cleanliness doesn’t deserve your business.

In my opinion this is the best sushi in Columbus and it really is not even close. Their standard rolls are as good as they come but the custom-made rolls that are unique to this restaurant are what I live for! Most of the servers have been at this restaurant for years and will certainly greet you with a warm smile. Like the chefs they are pros who are great at what they do: making and serving amazing food! I have eaten at many others sushi restaurants around Columbus and found Sushi En to be affordable when compared to the others. Combining better food with similar prices makes this a no-brainer!

The first time I went to Sushi En was for Mother’s Day yearssss ago, and back then, I wasn’t much of a sushi fan. I finally got to come back the other day since I was in the area, and stopped by with a friend for lunch. The décor is pretty simple and clean; there is a sushi bar and also(I think) a small back room for larger parties. The menu consisted of items you’d typically see in a Japanese restaurant(Udon, Bento boxes, sushi, etc). I ordered a basic Scallop Roll and the«All In» Roll(tuna, salmon, yellowtail, red Snapper, crab, & cucumber). Although the sushi is pretty fresh, it is just a tad bit pricier compared to other sushi places in the Columbus area. If I ever stop by again for lunch, I might try and go for value and get a lunch combo.

This was my third time here. Sushi is always very fresh and creative. I had the firecracker roll which was very filling and flavorful. We started with the tempura shrimp and vegetables and they were very crunchy and not greasy. This place is very close to work and I will come back soon for a quick lunch. Overall very good quality.

Stopped in here for Valentine’s dinner after a movie. Exterior: this restaurant is located at the west end of a building which includes a movie theater, a pub, a dessert place of some kind, and another business. There is plenty of parking available in the area, though the movie theater can make it very difficult to find one close. Interior: the entrance leads directly to the hostess station. To the left of the entrance are several tables and booths for seating. To the right and behind a wall is additional seating. It looks like more«traditional» with a low table on that side. I was informed private rooms were in the back left section of the restaurant. There was a small sushi bar with seating for about 8 people(maybe a couple more) just off the main dining area. It is pleasantly decorated. The reason I dropped a star for this review is due to interior temperature. It was very cold outside and that seeped horribly inside. A glance around the restaurant revealed practically everyone still had their coats on(to include my girlfriend). One couple asked to be moved further back, but I’m not sure it helped. Staff: they were wonderful! We assumed that most of the V-Day crowd would be gone after the movie, so we were a little surprised when asked about reservations. We hadn’t made any since it was a spur of the moment decision. However, we were seated promptly. The waiter was very attentive, polite, and personable. Pretty well every member of the staff was smiling and polite, which makes the experience more pleasurable. Food: awesome! We started off with Gyoza, which was very good! My girlfriend ordered Yaki Udon with a side of California Roll and I ordered a Sushi Deluxe. We both received a salad and she absolutely loved the dressing, though it wasn’t to my liking(personal taste). I received Miso soup, which was perfect on a cold wintery night! My girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed her meal. She said it was just as good as what we’d had out in Portland, OR at a different Japanese restaurant. There were 11 pieces of Nigiri sushi as well as a California Roll on my Deluxe order, which made me extremely happy! The seafood was fresh, large portioned, and the rice held together perfectly. Overall, this is a sushi place to which we will definitely return… probably when it gets warmer though.

When I worked in the area, I would go to Sushi En for lunch. When I moved offices, I STILL went and continue to go to Sushi En. My must have starter items are either the pickled cucumber salad or the spicy crab salad. Must. Haves. My friend always orders uni(sea urchin) with a raw quail egg — we share a variety of rolls/items and it’s always fresh and tasty — which is a big deal since we live in Cbus, Ohio. He’s had and gives thumbs up to the bimimbop. Definitely worth checking out!

This is only the second time I have been here with the first being several years ago. My husband and I stopeed by for a quick, impromtu weekday lunch. He ordered the chicken terryaki bento box, and I ordered the Californa Sushi Combo. It’s a bit pricey for lunch, but you get a TON of food! Both began with Miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. The dressing isn’t one of my favorites, but I’ve definately had much worse. The chicken terryaki was severed with a a small crab salad, california roll, and edemame — such an awesome addition. My combo was served with a california roll, spicy california roll, and a california hand roll. All were very good, but the spicy was my favorite. The spicy mayonaise was actually in the roll verses being on top. This was a very good meal, and I look forward to being able to explore the menu further.

This is one of the few non chains in the Polaris area if you’re looking for something different or want to get your sushi fix since there aren’t many options up there. I believe they are Korean owned so they have some Korean options on their menu too. I’ve never been there for lunch so maybe they have some good specials. I’m not a huge fan of their spicy crab salad, but I do enjoy their rolls. I’ve mostly had the cooked or fried rolls. We’ve gotten sashimi, and it’s a large portion and bigger slices of fish so you get your money’s worth. I’m very picky about tuna so I just couldn’t eat it here(my sister did), but I did enjoy the yellowtail and white tuna/escolar. Whenever I’m in the area, I definitely would go there, but since I’m in the UA area, I’d prefer different options with not having to drive all the way out there.
