Aneasha Garnett was amazing, she provided a relaxing, well needed manicure while steadily watching my deadline, as I was in a time crunch. She also was able to handle a was, dry and brows. I left feeling like a new person and looking like a new person as well.

Because of my dissatisfaction with my first visit, this spa gave me a gift certificate for a free one-hour sports massage, which I finally used. I would have gone sooner, except they said they would call me once they had a masseuse that could do deep tissue massages, and they never did, so I just decided to go ahead and call myself. I still have some complaints about the atmosphere. Nobody ever offered me a drink. The cheesy jazz muzak they had playing in the hallway leaked into the room where I was getting my massage, along with a lot of noise from the employees, and this was unconducive of a relaxing experience. These four stars are all for Shelley, who gave me the most amazing massage I’ve ever had. Let me tell you, this woman knows what she’s doing. She expertly broke up the knots plaguing my problem areas without bruising me, as well as massaging the rest of of me with perfect pressure and pacing. I even chat with her for a bit — she was very friendly and able to answer the questions I had(I never actually knew what caused those knots!) Despite minor noise disturbances, it was very relaxing, and by the end I was nearly asleep. I will certainly go back to see her as soon as I can afford to. I have not felt this healthy and limber in years!

Horrible. I hate to give 1 star, but I know the benefit to that is my fellow Unilocalers can know what can be expected. Simply put: Concierge recommended them, saying they sent another person to this high end spa. Concierge passed the call to my room. I asked the lady the diff between gel and acrylic(this is for you ladies) because I have been doing gel for a long time, but my sis said she loves acrylic. Either way I just don’t want anything other than polish … So she said acrylic stays on for 14 days, but gel is better. So I said cool. She said but we don’t do gel. I was truly taken aback and I replied, in the nicest way I swear: so gel is better but you only use acrylic?(was confused why she was up selling gel if they don’t carry it. Which btw is like– how is that possible???) Anyway, her reply was: whatever, find yourself another place and she hung up. So back to Unilocal I went took a gamble with a 3 stars, but it was only 15 mins walk, I’m here now and all seems well!

— 3.5-star review — Staff: amazingly sweet, friendly, helpful, professional — they offered us teas/coffees/water throughout our stay Location: super convenient — looked like it was a stone’s throw away from office buildings — which means if you’re on a quick lunch break & need to get some quick services — this is your place. Ambiance: could use a little work — when I think of a ‘spa’, I want serenity, I want the cliched burbling water fountain, bamboo mats and overall zen vibe — basically I want to block out the outside world. The curtains weren’t drawn, nor do they block the outside view(office buildings galore), so I feel it should be referred to and treated as a ‘salon’ and not a ‘spa’. Services: manis, pedis, threading for bride, sister of the bride & mother of the bride — including a great *SHELLAC* nail treatment which looks like it’ll outlast the cockroaches. Overall: great go-to spot for a quickie during lunch, but nothing I’d like to base anything cutesy/super events-y off of(like a bridal prep session).

I was skeptical of this place due to the other reviews here on Unilocal, but after asking around on twitter and finding two people to vouch for Nicci Debro Spa I decided to give it a try. I used their online system to book an appointment that was listed as available. A representative from the spa then emailed me to let me know that time wasn’t available.(If your online scheduling system doesn’t work, don’t use one.) From the pricing online I expected a relaxing, spa atmosphere, what I encountered was quite different. Ascetics account for a lot in the experience of this type of establishment, so I was shocked to see all the ‘behind-the-scenes’ flaws. The room I entered for my manicure had three stations. One station had been left with used cotton pads still on display, cabinet doors left open(exposing the crappy paint job among its contents), chemical jugs on the floor, and a used cup for paraffin wax in plain site. I know these things are necessary to execute manicures, but as a paying customer in a Spa I don’t expect to have to see them scattered around the room. The technician who worked on my manicure was very nice although my manicure itself was something I could have done at home. My cuticles weren’t cut correctly and my nails weren’t painted edge to edge. As I was placing my hands in the nail dryer my thumb nail was smudge. Instead of fixing the issue, the technician just put some clear polish over the area. I won’t be returning, which is a shame because I love the location of the«spa.»

I received a gift certificate as a gift & headed over to Nicci Debro for a relaxing facial. The facial wasn’t as relaxing as I had hoped. Their facials don’t include the typical hand, arm, shoulder massages. However I did feel like my skin was glowing and all cleared up when I left. Be prepared to drop some serious cash here. Even with my $ 75 gift certificate, I owed $ 25 for my facial. For how much money guests spend to go here, I’d expect parking validation or at the very least pay for our parking meters. Like another reviewer said, the staff seems to have some issues with timing. My facial was supposed to be an hour. I put enough for 90 minutes in the parking meter & I got out two hours later. Luckily I didn’t have a ticket, but it was a definite possibility. They seem to realize their timing issues though as I heard them offer to feed the meter for a few others.

I was looking for a last minute pedicure on a Saturday. I booked on-line– easy process. When I arrived(parking meters out front), the staff was very friendly. However, after I had already checked in and was sitting in the lobby, one of the staff called my cell phone to tell me they were running behind. Staff realized the organizational hiccup and offered me a free mini facial as my technician was supposedly running behind. The woman who did my facial smelled of cigarette smoke as she hovered over me. I have fair, sensitive skin –which she identified and cautioned me about– but she then proceeded to attack an acne spot even though she had told me it was best to leave alone. I was then taken to the waiting room– the décor was very relaxing– for about 5 minutes. Lo and behold, the same woman who did my complimentary mini facial was doing my pedicure! I’m not sure why we went through the whole mini facial if she was the one doing the pedicure in the first place! I enjoy finding new colors, but I noticed the nail polish color selections were limited– other clients brought there own polish. I had scheduled the spa pedicure, but because of the«time crunch», the technician insisted I wanted the basic service. Luckily, they charged me appropriately. The front desk staff and others were very friendly– going in I had high hopes. However the polite staff was not enough– I don’t think I would return.

I was really disappointed by our visit to this salon. I was there with a bridal party of 6 girls. The bride had scheduled a massage for teh day before along with getting her eyebrows done, but they canceled on her. They rescheduled for the day we were there getting our nails done. They couldn’t get her in to do her brows, so she just got her massage, which she said was ok. So, for the $ 40 I spent, my manicure and pedicure were not worth it. They just painted our nails, but my cuticles were still a disaster. No exfoliating of our feet or anything. I guess you have to pay more for their services, but every other time I’ve gotten my nails done, those things are included in the basic mani/pedi package. The woman who is the nail manager was fine– very personable and really knew her stuff(even if the services fell a little short for the price), but everyone else was a disorganized disaster. The girls working the front desk didn’t know what end was up. You had to ask them the same question 5 times before you got what you needed. Everything was disjointed and stressful, which is not what anyone wants in a salon. Ever. We ended up getting out of there 45 minutes late, leaving the bride rushed and stressed while she tried to get what she needed for the rehearsal. I don’t live in Columbus, but I’m back frequently. I’ll never go back to this place.

I have received several pedicures here and loved them. The spa chairs are great and relaxing. But the issue for me is the price. Just a regular pedi was $ 50 dollars at the time. And considering I give 20% tips, $ 60 is alot for just getting my feet done. I had one scheduling issue where they jammed another client in before me because she was planning on going on vacation. She must have been a very important person to them, because otherwise I couldn’t make sense of why she received preferential treatment. I was mailed a 10 dollar gift card for my trouble, but I have never used it. Surprising enough, several women who have given me pedicures at other salons did stints at Nicci’s.
