I came with a group of about 20 people. The food was good but the serving sizes were so small that everyone was still hungry after eating. A couple of us brought this up and the waitress said she would bring more food. More food was brought but the price was increased from$ 25 per person to $ 40 per person. This didn’t seem fair since we expected to have a meal to fill you up for $ 25, I didn’t agree to pay more money either.

Two dishes tasted distinctly and specifically like puke. Not like shit or garbage – this is not a metaphor; the calve’s liver mousse and the risotto that accompanied the sweetbreads tasted like puke so much that it stayed in my and my partner’s throats for hours. Additionally: –It took 1.5 hours to receive our meal –The sweetbreads were flavorless and dry –The gnocchi, while fine, were hidden under a pile of bland greens in an apparent effort to bulk up an $ 18 plate On the positive side, our two cocktails were very nice, and our waitress did comp us for the sweetbreads and two drinks. I’m not sure where to locate blame for this experience, but we will not be returning. There are just so many better places in Columbus for this kind of money.

UPDATE: Both my cc company and The Table are refunding/crediting my account the extra $ 20. This makes me happy! I know mistakes can be made but at same time, you’d think they would have questioned why the tip was the same amount as the tab. I gave 3 stars due to this even happening and the fact that I didn’t have food so could not give it a complete review. But I liked the vibe of the place and might go back. I am interested in trying the food, esp the mac&cheese based on other reviews. ******************** Before today, I would’ve given this a few more stars. It was clean, upscale, a bit more pricey than I’m used to paying for a glass of wine let alone a cocktail, but it had a good atmosphere and I was there as they hang art from local artist and was excited to see the work on display. I must say, I only had drinks here, no food. You want to get there some what early for bar seating as the bar area is very small so we had to stand the entire time. My main issue is that I was charged 3x what I tipped. My total for 3 drinks was $ 31 and they added a $ 31 tip to my total. Hopefully since I’m not disputing that I was there, just the tip portion, it can be resolved quickly. Do NOT get the Martinez(gin based cocktail) — just gross, very powerful and I barely got enough down my throat before switching to wine. Being an expensive drink, I didn’t want it to go to waste so… won’t do that again. If the matter can get resolved quickly, I will update my review with a better rating, but for now, I’d recommend that you pay in CASH only!

Great décor and service, nice drink selection, underwhelming food. The cheese plate was fine, as were the lentils, but the vegetable platter with hummous was some of the weirdest raw veggies you can think of(turnips, slimy cucumber, beet — who dips beets in hummus?) paired with a bland, uninspired bowl of hummus. The pork belly with melon was overcooked — more jerky and less melt in your mouth — and the quick pickled melon should come with some sort of warning(or a glass of milk) that it’s pickled with thai chili, i.e. super spicy time. Favorite thing about the meal were the desserts, pear ginger crumble and chocolate pecan tartlettes, but those aren’t made in house. Overall, they’ve got a good concept and some creative ideas, but there’s some disconnect in the kitchen where they don’t quite pull it off.

This place is surly a hidden gem. The ambiance and antiques make the atmosphere warm, happy and inviting. Not even to mention all the adorable potted plants and perfectly mismatched thrifted furniture… AND the food I got the poutine with fingerling potatoes, eggs and pork cheeks. It was to die for. Absolutely delicious and savory enough to crave my salty tooth

We really enjoyed brunch today and are so excited to find a true«farm to table» restaurant in the heart of Columbus. Understanding/knowing where our food comes from is a passion of my husband & I’s as well as the owners of The Table. If it is important to you I recommend you give it a try.

Sunday brunch. Six of us. We had a reservation that was honored and timely. We went for the Baked eggs. I’m not sure there many places that do this dish, it’s not the easiest to prepare. I’ve been here before and the eggs were perfect. Today not so much. In four dishes, the eggs were over-done in each. I mentioned this, after the meal, and the staff showed concern. I know they are hard to cook, but 0 for 4; that’s a problem. Rookie chef? The service was slow and inattentive. Another concern. The bathrooms were very clean. Thanks for that. I hope it was just a bad day.

Came for brunch and will definitely return. The egg sandwich, while $ 9, was legitimately one of the BEST I have ever enjoyed in my life(and I take my breakfast sandwiches very seriously). It was warm so we were able to sit on the outdoor patio area, which is lovely.

Got the lamb chops tonight; $ 36 for two pieces of chops, very small portion for the money!

Great gourmet food. Went today with a party of six for brunch. Shared the family size poutine between of five of us & really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed the French toast, beef and bean chili, fruit & granola. Finally, all 6 split the Dutch mama(with blackberries and blueberries) for dessert ‼. Great interior, patio & music as well

Not wanting to go anywhere with a screen on game night, my friend and I stumbled into table– and I’m so glad we did. Our drinks were fantastic(at the waiters suggestion I ordered the stone fruit which wasn’t on the menu.) The charcuterie had TWO sheeps cheese options, and the jambon lamb was salty and delicate. The carpaccio was some of the best I’d ever had… holy effin fried capers. The pork belly was a revelation. For dessert I had black port(which I’ve never tried before, and they let me try) and the blackberry tart which was fresh and soft and creamy. Guys, I’m getting hungry writing this. Oh and the service was super sweet and accommodating. Basically, GOHERE: on a date, for cozy dinner with someone you want to hear, for the ambiance, for your ethics(farm to table)!

Great food, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The gnocchi entrée was amazing. And very filling. The bread basket was my favorite part of the meal. All of the varieties were fresh and tasty.

Such a quaint place to grab breakfast or lunch! The Table is one of the few restaurants that I know in the Short North that provide their own free parking in a lot right near the restaurant! Love that! Arrive early if you’d want to snag a spot. While I love the ambiance and the attentiveness of the servers, it’s the price that really gets me. :(the food is delicious, but shelling out $ 4 for a small potato cake was difficult especially when there wasn’t anything too unique about it. The Dutch Baby was very filling though! Excited to try the other items on the menu.

This place is a HIDDENGEM! My favorite was the shrimp and grits. That dish was very flavorful, savory and was hearty. The Baby Dutch was a crêpe type pastry with homemade whipped cream and fruit compote. Naturally sweet without added sugar. I Just found out that this place has a happy hour and outdoor dining that I will definitely be coming back for. In the meantime, enjoy brunch. They have on street parking and parking behind the building. Additionally, you can make reservations via the Open Table app. Dress: Very Casual Service: Prompt and with a smile Price: worth every penny Enjoy!

We went for dinner and I thought the food and service was so so for the price. I really enjoyed the patio and I appreciated the farm to table concept and upcycled flat wear and furniture. We got foie gras(wouldn’t recommend), bread basket, beat salad(decent), beef carpacio(not the best), and the pork chops. I wasn’t particularly impressed with any of the food. I don’t think I would go back but reading the reviews about brunch, I may give it another try. But based on the experience we had it was lack luster.

The Table was a suggested spot to try in a weekend visit to family in Bexley. Since Short North is a usual shopping location when in C’Bus, this was perfect. After a brief look, found this hidden gem. Got here a few minutes before opening and was met by Shay who turned out to be our fantastic server. She met us in and allowed us to grab a table while the restaurant got ready to officially open its doors for the day. The place was so well put together that my wife, an interior designer, raved about it to me. We were then presented with the menu. The menu-what a collection of culinary treats. Since this was our breakfast, the choices were Dutch Baby and Biscuits and Gravy. Both were prepared to perfection and each bite was a pleasure. Only draw back, but it’s just me. Coffee was not hot enough for a morning brew. But this was not a reason to hold back on a five star rating. When in C’Bus and/or Short North, this is highly recommended!

To be totally honest, I didn’t love The Table when I first went here. I had dinner, splurged on a steak, and it was a tasteless, over-cooked state of affairs. I eat red meat rarely and I looked forward to a well-seasoned and well-cooked dish when I do. So, after my steak disappointment, I really didn’t want to try The Table again. However, a friend suggested it for brunch, and I am so glad I decided to give this place a second chance. Though service was strangely slow(the servers have a dream-like quality about them; this is the place to have a long, leisurely meal), the breakfast items were delicious. I had the breakfast sandwich which was served with a side salad and my friend had the baked eggs(also served with salad). It was plenty of food, but we desperately wanted to try the mac and cheese. It did make us super full but was totally worth it! Very yum. Moral of the story: go here for the brunch!

Oh. my. god. This place is soooooooooooo good. One word. BRUNCH. That’s all you need to know. This review is a little late in the game but it doesn’t matter. I went on Memorial Day weekend with some friends. We made a reservation via Open Table(bonus points if your restaurant uses this app). We each had a cocktail. Get a Bloody Mary. They’re really peppery and garlicky which is different than what I’m used to but in a good way. The drink was a little pricey at $ 10 but it was a holiday weekend so we treated ourselves. We each decided to get a different thing so that we could try each other’s. I had the French Toast which was DELICIOUS. Thick toast that melted in my mouth topped with raspberries and Ohio maple syrup. Oh and homemade whipped cream. I got it with a side of bacon. The bacon was different. It was kind of tough and a weird brown color. It was not the best but the French Toast outweighed that problem. A couple of us got the Mac and Cheese side. I tried my friend’s. It was probably the best mac and cheese I’ve ever tried. I can’t even describe it. Another of my friends got the vegy akoori. It’s like Indian spices in eggs with veggies. Pretty tasty. Everything here is very, very good. It doesn’t matter what you order. Anyway, love the décor. It’s rustic with little plants everywhere. Mismatched dishes. And they served coffee in a kettle and left it on the table for us. Amazing. Prices are a little higher than average but not bad and it’s all local and prepared on the spot. Just get here for Brunch. You’ll thank me later.

Every time I come in here, I have an amazing experience. I’ve only ever visited on the weekend mornings, just after opening, and it’s always been empty. My favorite item on the brunch menu is the Baked Eggs, filled with spinach and mushrooms and made in a brown butter sauce($ 12), but I also love the Simply Scrambled($ 10) Add a side of fruit and a cup of tea and I’m a happy camper. My brother had the Akoori($ 12), eggs scrambled with Indian spices and declared them to be phenomenal. The servers are friendly without being overbearing. You may wait a little while for your food, but it’s prepared so well that you can tell that the chefs took they’re time to make it to perfection.

WOW, just wow. This was my first meal in Columbus, shortly after flying into the airport, and I am genuinely impressed… so much so that I cannot believe the mixed reviews on this place. There were three of us and we arrived shortly before our reservation, but the staff was very accommodating and seated us right away. Although the exterior of the restaurant is deceivingly small, the interior is romantic, roomy, and clean. The servers are all dressed with historic chic flair and flowers sit in liquor bottles to give a homey yet exquisite feel. The open kitchen, located right behind the host stand to the side of the restaurant, is a nice feature I really enjoyed. After a long period of traveling, I knew I had to have a drink. I ordered a rhubarb mojito and it arrived beautifully crafted and tasted delicious. We decided to order a few small plates: the caramel-lacquered pork belly with quick pickled melon, zucchini noodles, a charcuterie plate, and the small order of the duck breast that comes with charred bok chop and duck confit-scallion rice cake. For dessert, we picked a blueberry shortcake. Normally, I would rank my favorites and recommend that on your visit, you try one of my favorites, but with The Table, I just can’t. EVERYTHING was incredibly delicious and each dish was crafted with such care, from each piece of melon that comes with the pork belly being perfectly sized and seasoned to the server, standing at the counter carefully blotting every single stray sauce mark on the plate. Each plate tasted uniquely different than the other and the experience was truly a dining adventure. We enjoyed perfect service throughout our meal and there’s nothing I would change about this place. Thanks for a great dining experience and I can’t wait to come back!
