Saturday night, and this place is hopping. There’s a band on a decent size permanent stage. The island bar has about 5 bartenders and a bar-back keeping folks quenched. The staff was friendly, and un-alienating to a new guest. I grabbed an open bar stool(chair) at the end near the entry door. 3TV’s directly ahead of me over the liquor. I could see edge to edge TV’s ran both lengths of the same display. Along with a few scattered about the outside perimeter, there must be about 18+ TV’s showing sports and follies. The stage is positioned in the rear right. Professional light and sound set-up. Easily visible from anywhere in the bar. The quartet looked comfortable on stage, without crowding each other’s space. 5 may be tough, unless someone(keyboards) may have to stay in the back by the drummer. The cover band(Alternative Nation) was very entertaining with their 90’s Hits. Many of the crowd were singing along. I liked that I did not have to scream, or close talk the bartender to order. Don’t get me wrong, they were rocking out with volume, but perhaps my seat in the back was ideal for me. Speaking of the back seat… I wish there was a door windbreak. That wind or chill rushed through frequently as the door was in motion. Other points of interest include one pool table, one pinball machine, one video arcade game, a jukebox, and Keno. A large chalkboard wall on the far wall seemed to display nightly specials, happy hour, and taco Tuesday. To the side I noticed patrons coming and going through an exterior door(without the breeze). If I had to guess, I would say an enclosed, heated patio for smokers. I can not answer if there are TV’s out there also. *A unique note of interest was the power stations posted around the bar top. Charge your devices. Cords provided. Is this necessary because patrons leave when their device is dead? Are you wondering if this is your demographic? I saw young people that should be carded before every drink. Middle age, and older couples were all hanging around the 20 somethings. This must be the kind of place where all are made to feel welcome. I did not sample the food, but saw standard hot bar snacks coming out from the back. I tried a pint draft that lacked a head on it. A different brand pint gave the same results. I observed this was common to every pour that night. One taste confirmed that they they were serving less than cold drafts. Thank goodness that neglect does not follow into drain stench. These two usually go hand in hand, but I did not get that whiff. I was denied A chilled Cabo Wabo tequila. They weren’t out, they didn’t even know what the bottle looked like to know if they ever carried it. I will say that the staff was attentive enough to ask if I needed another, after another had recently done the same, and gone to remedy the quench. Switching to a mixed drink, based on the observation of free pouring. Not overly strong, just more on the generous side, than short. Again with the neglect. Please Brix your soda guns. The vendor can, or with a simple device(provided by vendor) and screwdriver, you can maintain your own. The ratio’s were off. That’s why they taste syrup-y, and don’t carbonate properly. I looked at the live music schedule online. It was attractive enough to let me consider returning for friendly service, great entertainment, and bottled refreshment.

A decent bar with live music on Saturday nights. I’m not as familiar with the area, but it seems to be one of few places nearby that is pretty«happening» on a Saturday night. They have a decent draft beer selection, friendly service and an overall upbeat atmosphere. I would definitely return. Also, the live band JJ Snare were awesome that night.

Let me start by stating that I’m an OSU fan,. Typing this AT this shit bar while in my jersey. Nearly 20 TVs,. ALL of them on the OSU V Michigan Game, asked two bartenders and then the OWNER for ONETV to be changed to another big match that I want to see and he refuses to do so. When prompted for a reason he says«cause if I do it for you, I have to do it for everybody». I look around to see the ocean of OSU jerseys which makes up the entire crowd. Seriously? You can’t change ONETV… No replies the headstrong owner of the bar that I’ll never be returning to in his dingy Michigan sweatshirt. IF it wasn’t midway thru the 2nd quarter I’d be out the door already but alas, I’m a fan and guess I’ll be staying till halftime before I head to a real sports pub… Fado.

This is a great place to go for live music on Friday and Saturday nights. They have bands that play all different kinds of genres classic/hard rock, pop/top 40s from the past, and country. #livemusic, #bands, #gahanna, #columbus

Made our 1st visit here to see a friend’s band and I’m already impressed! Drink prices were good and it’s not the ‘trendy’ crowd that I have to endure when dragged to Hamilton Pub. From the JD Pool Table to actual live bands, it’s just a cool place! We will absolutely be back!

Big stage for bands, good food and service. We always have a great time. Lots of big screens and a cool Jack Daniels pool tabke.

Not even acknowledged within 7 – 10 minutes of sitting at the bar. Does anyone even work here? Horrible service, left before even being acknowledged. Seemed like a pretty boring Thursday night. I’d rather be home than sit in here.

Went here for a friends birthday celebration. It was our first time here and we had a good time. The band was rocking the house and the crowd was outrageous. We had already eaten so can’t write about the food but our drinks were pretty good and decently priced. All in all we had a good time and would go back again!

Looks like a place for local regulars. The TVs are nice and located directly at the bar. Not my kind of crowd or should I say lack of crowd. It is Sunday night. I prefer Average Joe’s and Hamiltons Pub as a local hangout but the price of drinks here are attractive enough to get me here. A pool table and a few video games can keep you here long enough to throw down a few. The bartenders are really nice and attentive. The music can certainly go. I prefer more contemporary music and not the 70/80s.

I was here last night to see The Popbillies. They did an awesome job. As far as Turtle Creek, nice venue. They are located inside of a shopping plaza. But where I sat I think the tables should be able to move when it gets tight. The tables are like bolted to the wall and they are close together so you can’t move them if it gets tight. Anyway, there is no drink menu, boo! Just food and there are no vegan options. They put meat or dairy on everything. The drinks were okay, I had two drinks and I didn’t really feel it, bummer. The crowd, mostly men, mostly mature and it wasn’t a «mixed crowd», if you know what I mean. There are plenty of big flat screen TVs mounted to view the games or whatever shows they choose to play.

Itssok. Decent tap selection. As another reviewer posted, super loud at times. Bands are ok though some have husbands/wives/groupies? that get so drunk it’s uncomfortable with occasional drama. Definitely an older, tired crowd and the dreaded good ol’ boys. Quite a bit of over serving patrons that clearly don’t need one more. Other times, it can be nice and the patio is a great breezy place in the summer that also offers a covered/sheltered area for smokers in the winter. LA Guns concert made for a good show.

We came with a small group and pretty much stayed to ourselves at the pool table and darts machine. There was a band playing, pretty descent. The crowd is much older, late 40’s, early 50’s. Staff was extremely friendly and the environment was pretty chill. The music is really load, so make sure you go outside if you are looking for somewhere to talk and drink.

I am impressed with the turnaround this place has made since my previous visit, when the place was called the Bar Next Door. On the weekends they always have live bands which we enjoy. Beer selection is good and prices are fair.

Worst place ever!!! We came during the day, the bartender was so lazy she only got up once and it was only for a regular. She was on her phone half the time and then as we were leaving she decided to talk to the regulars about us who then tried to get smart with us. It was a horrible time, there was only 6 people in the whole bar, we even had to get her attention to tab out. Guess she dosent want any new regulars. We left and went across the street and were treated much better!

Went here as a compromise between my West side and East side friends. Definitely a decent sports bar. New owner is still trying to find his niche as a destination, but they are on their way, IMHO. The night we went Acoustic Mayhem was playing, and they are always fun and entertaining! Sports Bar vibe had many TVs with all events. Bar was above-average and bartenders were extremely nice. Even had good pizza! Give it a try, the new owner is working hard to carve out a place for this bar. If you want some drinkin, pizza and live band, check it out!

Another reincarnation, essentially. It’s no longer The Bar Next Door, and I won’t kid you, I miss the ambience there. However, the new layout is nice. The TVs are over the bar now… if my count is correct, 14 screens, plus the two projection ones on the north wall with another flat in between. Should be able to find a sport on TV somewhere here. Beers are not quite as cheap as before, but there are still good specials each night. Continuing the trend Steve had with BND, they’re putting some damn good stuff on tap. They have a Tailgate buffet for Buckeye games… 10 bucks, all you can eat. You can still order Chi Thai next door, so that’s awesome.
