One word and one word only … love. Gone are the day when Yankee Candle had items pricey … love to come into the store and check out what they have. The people are very friendly here too.

Believe it or not, I have NEVER been to a Yankee Candle store until a few days ago. I just stayed away — ironically due to my love for candles and smelly things. I had always just assumed that the candles would be overpriced and overdone and ultimately disappointing. Boy was I wrong! My current obsession is a candle made by L’Occitane in the scent of Orange Cinnamon– it smells like Christmas– or Fall– to me… very positive things in my book and I was told by a friend to go in and smell the ‘Christmas Eve’ candle made by Yankee. While I wasn’t crazy about that one, I did go nuts over Autumn Leaves and something with the word Pumpkin in it… Frosted Pumpkin I believe. OMG. Delectable. I have never been tempted to ingest dozens of cupcakes and cinnabons before until the moment I left that store. The smell of the place was so incredibly yummy. On a ‘hmmmmmm’ note… In hindsight, I don’t actually recall seeing any candles burning… that would have been nice and made the place even more cozy. The store was a bit too clinical and bright for my tastes. I think the Yankee people should probably pop into Kirkland’s and take a page out of their décor book. In addition, while the service was there, the heart wasn’t. I just don’t get sales people these days. Where is the ‘presence’? ps. They are also having a great sale right now! :)
